Converting whisper to normal vocalized speech has been a hot research topic in speech signal processing area. A complete and large scale whisper database is a major basis for this task. In this paper, we propose a multimodal whisper database in Chinese mandarin. A total of 103 syllables and 100 sentences were carefully selected. 5 male and 5 female participants pronounced the syllables and sentences in whisper and normal styles respectively, result in 4096 parallel speech utterances and 263, 849 frames of voicing face and lip image sequences. The beginning and ending sample point of each syllable were labeled both for speech signal and voicing face video. The lip region of interest were also extracted and provided in the proposed database. Experiments in various speech conversion tasks in different speech database show the effectiveness of the proposed multimodal whisper speech database. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

In this paper,we propose a new user grouping and power allocation scheme based on beamforming for downlink non-orthogonal multiple access *** proposed user grouping scheme can effectively reduce the interference from the other user and other beams as well,and can effectively improve the weak user rate especially when the SNR is not *** addition,a power allocation scheme that can maximize the sum capacity while satisfying a certain fairness index is *** the simulation results,the user grouping and power allocation method proposed in this paper can not only improve the overall system throughput performance,but also improve the fairness of weak users.

Distributed compressed sensing theory is applied to many practical problems,ECG signal,color imaging,*** order to improve the reconstruction accuracy of multi-dimensional signals,this paper applies singular value decomposition to the multi-measure vector problem in DCS,then distributed compressed sensing reconstruction method based on singular value decomposition is *** method can achieve row orthogonality of the measurement matrix and does not affect the design of the reconstruction *** experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed method,which can significantly improve the reconstruction quality of the signal and the robustness to noise.

Existing Lexical Punctuation Prediction methods are mainly trained on the standard clean data while losing the generalization in practical automatic speech recognition (ASR) system with ubiquitous transcription errors. To bridge the gap between clean training data and noisy testing data, we propose three random (3R) data augmentation strategies: random word deletion (RWD), random word substitution (RWS), and random phoneme edition (RPE) in both word and phoneme levels on the training dataset. Specifically, we contribute an acoustically similar vocabulary with phoneme level editions for acoustically similar word substitution. In addition, we first introduce the RoBERTa-large model into a punctuation prediction task to capture the semantics and the long-distance dependencies in language. Extensive experiments on the English dataset IWSLT2011 yield to a new state-of-the-art comparing to the prevalent punctuation prediction methods.

The multilevel characteristic basis function method(MLCBFM)with the adaptive cross approximation(ACA)algorithm for accelerated solution of electrically large scattering problems is studied in this *** the conventional MLCBFM based on Foldy-Lax multiple scattering equations,the improvement is only made in the generation of characteristic basis functions(CBFs).However,it does not provide a change in impedance matrix filling and reducing matrix calculation procedure,which is *** reality,all the impedance and reduced matrix of each level of the MLCBFM have low-rank property and can be calculated ***,ACA is used for the efficient generation of two-level CBFs and the fast calculation of reduced matrix in this *** results are given to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the method.

Conditional Privacy-Preserving Transaction for the Unspent Transaction Output-Based Multi-Chain Blockchain System

The anonymity of blockchain may be exploited by criminals for illegal fund transfers, thus a conditional privacy-preserving scheme is important for blockchain regulation. Currently, sharding technology under a multi-chain architecture is used to improve blockchain scalability. However, current conditional privacy-preserving schemes cannot work on this architecture. To protect the privacy of the transaction, we present a conditional privacy-preserving transaction scheme (MC-CPPT) for multi-chain blockchain system. In this system, we proposed a zero-knowledge proof based anonymous transaction, in terms of the identities of transaction participants and amounts, which also enables the unlinkability of transactions and indistinguishability between cross-chain and intra-chain transactions in multi-chain blockchain system. In addition, a multi-node regulatory agency is introduced to control the transaction amount and frequency in the system without a single point of failure. Moreover, an ECC-based encryption scheme is proposed to achieve the traceability of suspicious transactions. A security model is defined and the security of MC-CPPT is demonstrated to meet the expected security goals. Evaluating the prototype revealed acceptable performance and additional security features. © 1968-2012 IEEE.

We study trace codes with defining set L,a subgroup of the multiplicative group of an extension of degree m of a certain ring of order 27. These codes are abelian, and their ternary images are quasi-cyclic of coindex three(a.k.a. cubic codes). Their Lee weight distributions are computed by using Gauss sums. These codes have three nonzero weights when m is singly-even. When m is odd, under some hypothesises on the size of L, we obtain two new infinite families of two-weight codes which are optimal. Applications of the image codes to secret sharing schemes are also given.

Previous efforts on data-based reconstruction focused on complex networks with pairwise or two-body interactions. There is a growing interest in networks with high-order or many-body interactions, raising the need to reconstruct such networks based on observational data. We develop a general framework combining statistical inference and expectation maximization to fully reconstruct 2-simplicial complexes with two- and three-body interactions based on binary time-series data from social contagion dynamics. We further articulate a two-step scheme to improve the reconstruction accuracy while significantly reducing the computational load. Through synthetic and real-world 2-simplicial complexes, we validate the framework by showing that all the connections can be faithfully identified and the full topology of the 2-simplicial complexes can be inferred. The effects of noisy data or stochastic disturbance are studied, demonstrating the robustness of the proposed framework. © 2021, CC BY.

Log-structured merge tree (i.e., LSM-tree) based key-value stores, which are widely used in big-data applications, provide high performance. NAND Flash-based Solid state disks (i.e., SSDs) become the popular devices that alternative to hard disk drives (i.e., HDDs) because of the high performance and low power consumption. LSM-tree KV stores with SSDs are deployed in large-scale storage systems to achieve high performance in the cloud. However, the host-side write amplification in LSM-tree KV stores and the device-side write amplification in SSDs can impair the overall system performance. The former that is attributed to compaction has a burn on I/O bandwidth between two sides. The latter, which results from garbage collection in NAND Flash memory, blocks user I/Os from the host and degrades the SSD performance. In this study, we explored cascaded write amplification in LSM-tree KV stores with SSDs. Our primary goal is to comprehensively study two-level cascaded write amplification on the host and device sides. We quantitatively analyze the impact of two-level write amplification on overall performance. This work reveals details of cascaded write amplification and helps developers in the software stacks of LSM-tree based KV stores with SSDs. © 2019 IEEE.

Multi-modal data provides abundant and diverse object information, crucial for effective modal interactions in Re-Identification (ReID) tasks. However, existing approaches often overlook the quality variations in local features and fail to fully leverage the complementary information across modalities, particularly in the case of low-quality features. In this paper, we propose to address this issue by leveraging a novel graph reasoning model, termed the Modality-aware Graph Reasoning Network (MGRNet). Specifically, we first construct modality-aware graphs to enhance the extraction of fine-grained local details by effectively capturing and modeling the relationships between patches. Subsequently, the selective graph nodes swap operation is employed to alleviate the adverse effects of low-quality local features by considering both local and global information, enhancing the representation of discriminative information. Finally, the swapped modality-aware graphs are fed into the local-aware graph reasoning module, which propagates multimodal information to yield a reliable feature representation. Another advantage of the proposed graph reasoning approach is its ability to reconstruct missing modal information by exploiting inherent structural relationships, thereby minimizing disparities between different modalities. Experimental results on four benchmarks (RGBNT201, Market1501-MM, RGBNT100, MSVR310) indicate that the proposed method achieves state-of-the-art performance in multi-modal object ReID.
