Constrained multiobjective optimization problems (CMOPs) are prevalent in various real-world applications, presenting a formidable challenge to existing evolutionary algorithms when faced with intricate constraints. When solving CMOPs, a crucial concern is achieving a balance between convergence, diversity, and feasibility. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a two-archive-based constrained multiobjective competitive swarm optimizer. The algorithm preserves two collaborative and complementary archives to improve population convergence and feasibility. By implementing a competitive particle swarm mechanism, offspring solutions are generated by drawing upon solutions from both archives, thus capitalizing on their synergistic effect and exceptional information. An adaptive parameter is also used to adjust the bias in choosing the winner in the paired competition during the evolution. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in handling constrained multiobjective optimization problems. © 2023 IEEE.

An improved column generation algorithm for crew scheduling problems

Column Generation (CG) technique is popularly applied in solving the crew scheduling problem of large size, which is generally modeled as an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) problem. The traditional CG algorithms for bus and rail crew scheduling encounter difficulties on either the generation of all potential shifts or solving subproblems. A subproblem embedded in the CG is generally represented as a Resource-constrained Shortest Path Problem (RCSPP), which is NP-hard and constitutes a major reason for the CG's slow convergence. This paper presents a novel CG strategy to improve the efficiency of the proposed crew scheduling approach. The main idea is that a reasonably large set of "good" potential shifts (called a shift-pool) is pre-compiled using problem-specific knowledge. During the CG process, the RCSPP is not constructed to generate potential shifts as new columns until no columns with Negative Reduced Cost (NRC) exist in the shift-pool. Experiments are carried out on a series of Chinese real-world problem instances, and the computational results show that the solving process is significantly accelerated. © 2013 by Binary Information Press.

The BDI model has always been the focus of subject modeling research, which includes three kinds of thinking states of the rational subject: Belief, Desire and Intention. Belief is the cognition of agent to the world;it is a collection of environmental information, other agent information, and its own information that the agent has;and it is also the basis of the agent's thinking activity. Due to differences in the individual's living environment and experience, the formation of heterogeneous beliefs is an important issue in the BDI model study. This article divides individual belief set into two parts: knowledge belief and achievable belief. This article proposes an overall framework for the formation of individual heterogeneity beliefs: First, the individual's knowledge experience is modeled, and the empirical knowledge is structured and quantified into binary propositions;then the BP neural network learn and memory propositions of different combinations to form heterogeneous beliefs. Experiments show that this method can simulate the heterogeneity of individual beliefs caused by the individual's own experience, and can realize the belief generation mechanism of gradual information flow, limited attention and heterogeneous priors. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

DNA strand displacement is widely used in the construction of DNA molecule computational models. In this work, nicking enzyme is used as the input of the logic calculation model for it can cut one strand of a double-stranded DNA at a specific recognition nucleotide sequences known as a restriction site. Based on this, a variety of logic gates are designed and implemented, and a multi-person voting circuit is constructed. © 2018, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells(PEMFCs) are prone to decreased lifespan due to the degradation of the plat-inum(Pt) catalyst during operation. In this study, we have established a one-dimensional model to investigate the effects of different voltage conditions on Pt degradation. High potential is found to be the most significant factor affecting the degradation. Prolonged exposure to high potentials will significantly reduce the PEMFC's lifespan, and frequent voltage changes will exac-erbate the problem. To mitigate this issue, we have designed three energy management strategies with different limitations and simulated their performance in the operating scenario of a fuel-cell hybrid electric vehicle(FCHEV). The results demonstrate that strategies restricting high potential occurrences and voltage variations can effectively alleviate Pt degradation. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

An Echo State Network (ESN) based predictive control method for aircraft system is proposed to increase the flight quality. Aerocraft is a nonlinear and time-varying system and its controllers are usually designed by trajectory linearization method. Furthermore, the predictive controller is designed to adjust the current controlled variables by the trend of output to improve the quick responsiveness and traceability. Then, the stability of the system is proved by Lyapunov function. Finally, the numerical simulation results of step-response and attitude tracking illustrate the robustness and effect of the method. © 2011 IEEE.

Reentry trajectory optimization is a multi-constraints optimal control problem which is hard to solve. To tackle it, we proposed a new algorithm named CDEN(Constrained Differential Evolution Newton-Raphson Algorithm) based on Differential Evolution(DE) and *** transform the infinite dimensional optimal control problem to parameter optimization which is finite dimensional by discretize control parameter. In order to simplify the problem, we figure out the control parameter's scope by process constraints. To handle constraints, we proposed a parameterless constraints handle process. Through comprehensive analyze the problem, we use a new algorithm integrated by DE and Newton-Raphson to solve it. It is validated by a reentry vehicle X-33, simulation results indicated that the algorithm is effective and robust.

Video summarization provides condensed and succinct representations of the content of a video stream. A static storyboard summarization approach based on robust low-rank subspace segmentation is proposed in this paper. Firstly, video frames are represented as multi-dimensional vectors, and then embedded into a group of affine subspaces using low-rank representation according to the content similarity of the frames in the same subspace. Secondly, a series of subspaces are segmented based on the Normalized Cuts algorithm. The video summary is finally generated by choosing key frames from the significant subspaces and ranking these key frames in temporal order. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed summarization algorithm can produce crucial key frames and effectively reduce the visual content redundancy in summary comparing with the conventional approaches. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.

Toehold-mediated DNA strand displacement endows DNA nanostructures with dynamic response capability. However, the complexity of sequence design dramatically increases as the size of the DNA network increases. We attribute this problem to the mechanism of toehold-mediated strand displacement, termed exact strand displacement (ESD), in which one input strand corresponds to one specific substrate. In this work, we propose an alternative to toehold-mediated DNA strand displacement, termed fuzzy strand displacement (FSD), in which one-to-many and many-to-one relationships are established between the input strand and the substrate, to reduce the complexity. We have constructed four modules, termed converter, reporter, fuzzy detector, and fuzzy trigger, and demonstrated that a sequence pattern recognition network composed of these modules requires less complex sequence design than an equivalent network based on toehold-mediated DNA strand displacement. © 2020 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. The analytical algorithm of program quaternion is studied, aiming at the problem of the arbitrary spacecraft attitude-adjusting control. It also provides the analytical constructor method of the program quaternion for any given initial quaternion and angle velocity, terminal quaternion and angle velocity. The advantages of this method are as follows: (1) Good adaptability. Both of the initial and terminal conditions are arbitrary;(2) Simple model. The calculation process only involves the simple algebraic operation;(3) Easy to optimize. By using the program quaternion model, the time consumption in the process of spacecraft attitude adjustment and the maximum angular velocity can be optimized directly. According to the Mathematical simulation results, the program quaternion tracking can be realized by a simple PD control law. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
