For the past few years, perovskite solar cells have become the most promising photovoltaic devices because of its excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency. Perovskite solar cells have defects in body, interface and energy level misalignment, which lead to the increase of non-radiative recombination loss and hinder the further improvement of efficiency and stability. Therefore, the reduced loss originated from the energy level misalignment and interface defects, which is essentially important to the realization of efficient perovskite solar cells. In the research of this paper, the influence of double electron transport layer and its stepwise conduction band structure on the device performance is studied. The results show that the double-layer electron transport layer structure can improve the loss of interface energy level misalignment and provide insight into high-performance solar cells.

A quasi-static clustering algorithm in mobile heterogeneous sensor network

In this paper, we constructed the architecture of mobile heterogeneous sensor network by introducing user equipments (UEs) in static wireless sensor network. We analyzed the failure of traditional static clustering algorithm, gave a set of parameters that affected the performance of cluster heads in the mobile environment and proposed a Quasi-Static Clustering Algorithm (QSCA). Through theoretical analysis and simulation, this algorithm can reduce average delay and prolong network lifetime. We verified the adaptability of QSCA algorithm to energy consumption and dynamic topology by comparing with the LEACH algorithm. © 2013 by Binary Information Press.

In this paper, a novel wideband dual-band magneto-electric dipole antenna with modified feed structure is proposed. Double-layer patches are utilized to design a pair of folding metal. The double-layer patches dipole can generate two resonant frequencies, which are employed to form a dual-band magneto-electric dipole antenna. A stair-shaped feeding strip with a hexagonal structure is designed to modify the impedance matching. It is found from simulated results that two operation bands with bandwidths of 60% from 1.61 to 2.99 GHz and 31.9% from 4.99 to 6.89 GHz under the return loss level of 10 dB were achieved. The gain of the antenna ranged from 7.56 to 10.56 dBi. Furthermore, low cross-polarization level and low back-radiation are also obtained with the proposed antenna.

In this paper, we propose a sampling approach of reference points used for performance metrics of multi-objective evolutionary algorithms. Traditional reference point sampling methods, such as the Das and Dennis method, usually sample the reference points via a set of uniformly distributed weight vectors generated on an ideal hyper-plane in objective space, which however often ignore the geometric shape of a specific Pareto front. Therefore, we propose a novel reference point sampling approach by taking the specific shape of the Pareto optimal front to be tackled into account for measuring the performance of multi-objective evolutionary algorithms. The performance of the proposed reference point sampling method against the other two state-of-the-art sampling methods is tested on six test instances in various conditions, which clearly demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed sampling method.

This paper aims to carry out granular analysis of time sequence based on quotient space. Granular methods have long before been adopted to analyze time sequence, but the granularity was based on time, for example, day mean, month mean, year mean and so on in finance forecast. In this paper, the granularity is based on space and some significant results are obtained: we can, in certain circumstances, get characteristics of time sequence in an original space when carrying out granular analysis of it in its coarser-grain space; granular analysis of a Markov chain is equivalent to an hidden Markov model (HMM), contrarily, any HMM is equivalent to granular analysis of a Markov chain. These results deepened our understanding of HMM from the perspective of granular analysis. We can not only use the methods of HMM to study time sequence, but also use the methods of granular analysis based on quotient space theory to solve the problems of HMM.

Performer: A High-Performance Global-Local Model-Augmented with Dual Network Interaction Mechanism

In deep learning, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) focus on local information through convolutional kernels, while transformers attend to global information using self-attention mechanisms. The union of these distinct approaches enables a more comprehensive extraction of image features. However, the feature map dimensions of CNN and Transformer differ, leading to dimension mismatch issues when combining these architectures. Additionally, the parameter size of the hybrid model integrating both architectures remains large, making it difficult to train. To further augmenting the interpretation of complex image patterns, we present Performer, a dual-network architecture that seamlessly combines CNNs and transformers, resulting in a novel and efficient representation learning model. In the Performer model, we innovate by devising a unique interaction methodology for CNN and transformer architectures to enhance the image feature extraction capabilities mutually. To counteract issue of dimensionality mismatch, we also introduce a refined transformer block, a advancement over the transformer block of ViT. To validate the effectiveness of Performer, we conduct extensive experiments on both classification and segmentation tasks. Performer achieve an accuracy of 83.37% on the ImageNet-200 dataset. For semantic segmentation, Performer excels on the CamVid and Hippocampus datasets. On CamVid, our model achieves a mean Intersection over Union (mIoU) of 63.27% and Pixel Accuracy of 92.11%, demonstrating superior performance in capturing fine details and handling complex scenes effectively. Knowledge tracing (KT) is a crucial task in online learning, aimed at tracing and predicting each student's knowledge states throughout their learning process. Over the past decade, it has garnered widespread attention due to it provides the potential for more tailored and adaptive online learning experiences. Although most current KT methodologies emphasize optimizing network structures to enhance predictive accuracy for future student performance, they often neglect anomalous interactions in students' learning processes, which may arise from low data quality (i.e., inferior question quality) and abnormal student behaviors (i.e., guessing and mistakes). To this end, in this paper, we propose a novel framework, termed HD-KT, designed to enhance the robustness of existing KT methodologies with Hybrid learning interactions Denoising approach. Specifically, we introduce two detectors for anomalous learning interactions, namely knowledge state-guided anomaly detector and student profile-guided anomaly detector. In the first detection module, we design a sequential autoencoder to identify anomalous learning interactions by detecting atypical student knowledge states. In the second module, we incorporate an attention mechanism by modeling a student's long-term profile to capture irregular interactions. Extensive experiments on four real-world benchmark datasets have decisively shown our HD-KT markedly boosts the robustness of numerous prevailing KT models, consequently increasing the accuracy of future student performance predictions. Additionally, our case studies highlight the versatility of HD-KT in addressing diverse downstream tasks, such as exercise quality analysis and learning behavior-based student clustering. © 2024 ACM.

Based on the equivalent circuit model of PIN diode and the full wave simulation method of CST software, the system performance of finite large energy selective surface (ESS) is simulated and analyzed when the number of cells is small. The simulation results show that the working performance of ESS will be degraded by the slight surface deformation caused by external force but not fail completely. Therefore, in the practical application of ESS, attention should be paid to avoid deformation caused by external force extrusion, which will reduce the shielding performance of ESS. The simulation results provide reference value for the practical design and application of energy selective surface.

Learning compact target-oriented feature representations for visual tracking

Many state-of-the-art trackers usually resort to the pre-trained convolutional neural network (CNN) model for correlation filtering, in which deep features could usually be redundant, noisy and less discriminative for some certain instances, and the tracking performance might thus be affected. To handle this problem, we propose a novel approach, which takes both advantages of good generalization of generative models and excellent discrimination of discriminative models, for visual tracking. In particular, we learn compact, discriminative and target-oriented feature representations using the Laplacian coding algorithm that exploits the dependence among the input local features in a discriminative correlation filter framework. The feature representations and the correlation filter are jointly learnt to enhance to each other via a fast solver which only has very slight computational burden on the tracking speed. Extensive experiments on three benchmark datasets demonstrate that this proposed framework clearly outperforms baseline trackers with a modest impact on the frame rate, and performs comparably against the state-of-the-art methods. To achieve high precision direction-of-arrival estimation of MIMO arrays in highly coupled environments, based on the difference and cooperative array principles, the uniform array fitted with 5 base layer array and the uniform array fitted with 6 base layer array were used as transmitting arrays, and with the addition of 1 base layer layer sparse array as receiving array, two sparse multi-in multiple-out arrays were designed for single-base radar, which have the characteristics of low coupling of transmitting array and high freedom of receiving array.
