Emotion recognition in conversation (ERC) aims at accurately identifying emotional states expressed in conversational content. Existing ERC methods, although relying on semantic understanding, often encounter challenges when confronted with incomplete or misleading semantic information. In addition, when dealing with the interaction between emotional and semantic information, existing methods are often difficult to effectively distinguish the complex relationship between the two, which affects the accuracy of emotion recognition. To address the problems of semantic misdirection and emotional cross-talk encountered by traditional models when confronted with complex conversational data, we propose a semantic and emotional dual channel (SEDC) strategy for emotion recognition in conversations to process emotional and semantic information independently. Under this strategy, emotion information provides an auxiliary recognition function when the semantics are unclear or lacking, enhancing the accuracy of the model. Our model consists of two modules: the emotion processing module accurately captures the emotional features of each utterance through contrastive learning, and then constructs a dialogue emotion propagation map to simulate the emotional information conveyed in the dialogue;the semantic processing module combines an external knowledge base to enhance the semantic expression of the dialogue through knowledge enhancement strategies. This divide-and-conquer approach allows us to more deeply analyze the emotional and semantic dimensions of complex dialogues. Experimental results on the IEMOCAP, EmoryNLP, MELD, and DailyDialog datasets show that our approach significantly outperforms existing techniques and effectively improves the accuracy of dialogue emotion recognition. With widely application of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) file sharing technique, the P2P traffic occupies most of the current Internet bandwidth. Modeling the behaviors of P2P file sharing systems is important for designing and evaluating such systems. In this paper, we develop a novel model to character the dynamic behaviors of P2P sharing systems. States in microcosmic view are defined and used to describe the interaction among the peers in systems. Then, a model in general form for P2P sharing systems is proposed. According to common software policies in P2P systems, we embody the model. To verify the validity and reasonability of the proposed model, P2P simulations are conducted. © 2010 IEEE.

Propose an evolution model for Peer-to-Peer (P2P) file-sharing systems, which try to capture the dynamic properties of P2P application networks. The model consists of four events: node joining, node departure, connection establishing and connection breaking, which captures the most important events in constructing network topology. The evolution model results in a differential equation about degree distribution, which can be solved analytically. By analyzing the solutions, some interesting results can be got. © 2010 IEEE.

Software Defined Traffic Engineering for Improving Quality of Service

The Software Defined networking(SDN) paradigm separates the control plane from the packet forwarding plane, and provides applications with a centralized view of the distributed network state. Thanks to the flexibility and efficiency of the traffic flow management, SDN based traffic engineering increases network utilization and improves Quality of Service(QoS). In this paper, an SDN based traffic scheduling algorithm called CATS is proposed to detect and control congestions in real time. In particular, a new concept of aggregated elephant flow is presented. And then a traffic scheduling optimization model is formulated with the goal of minimizing the variance of link utilization and improving QoS. We develop a chaos genetic algorithm to solve this NP-hard problem. At the end of this paper, we use Mininet, Floodlight and video traces to simulate the SDN enabled video networking. We simulate both the case of live video streaming in the wide area backbone network and the case of video file transferring among data centers. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm CATS effectively eliminates network congestions in subsecond. In consequence, CATS improves the QoS with lower packet loss rate and balanced link utilization.

In network service systems, satisfying quality of service (QoS) is one of the main objectives. Admission control and resource allocation strategy can be used to guarantee the QoS requirement. Based on partially observable Markov decision processes (POMDPs), this paper proposes a novel admission control model for video on demand (VOD) service systems with elastic QoS. Elastic QoS is also considered in resource allocation strategy. Policy gradient algorithm is often available to find the solution of POMDP problems, with a satisfactory convergence rate. Through numerical examples, it can be shown that the proposed admission control strategy has better performance than complete admission control strategy.

The control of bilateral teleoperators is challenging due to the complexity of their nonlinear dynamics, the time delays in the communications as well as the wide range of practical real applications. In this paper, operational space adaptive control of hybrid motion/force synchronization is proposed for bilateral networked teleoperation system with asymmetric timevarying delays in communication channels. The adaptive control with parameter update mechanism is developed to deal with the different kinematics, dynamics uncertainties and external disturbances for the master robot and the slave robot. The system stability is rigorously proved using Lyapunov stability synthesis. The proposed adaptive control is robust against relative motion disturbances, parametric uncertainties and time delay, which is validated by extensive simulation studies.

Mobile robots' motion is constrained by the maximum velocity its actuators can provide,when it tracks a reference trajectory which imposes demanding requirements on the robot's driving *** this paper,a model predictive control(MPC) scheme is proposed for trajectory tracking control of two-wheel mobile *** on the derived tracking-error kinematics of the robot,the proposed MPC approach can be iteratively formulated as a quadratic programming(QP) problem,which can be solved using a linear variable inequality based primal-dual neural network(LVI-PDNN) over a finite receding *** applied neural networks are both stable in the sense of Lyapunov and globally convergent to the exact optimal solutions of reformulated convex programming *** smoothness of the robot motion is improved,a reasonable magnitudes of the robot velocities and a better tracking performance are *** and experimental results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and characteristics of the proposed LVI-PDNN based MPC approaches to trajectory tracking control.

With wider application of P2P-based Media Delivery network (P2P-based MDN), much work has been done to improve the system' performance and efficiency in the process of media contents sharing. In this paper, we first propose a specific partially observable Markov Decision Process (POMDP) model for admission control of P2P-based MDN. Based on this model, we provide the observation-based randomized policy to conduct admission control and optimize the policy by applying policy-gradient algorithm. Observation-based policy can promote the system's performance in real time aspect and policy optimizing can increase the accuracy of controller's judgments based on partial information. Admission strategy in the paper can save the cost in operating the system for media service providers. Bandwidth allocation policy is designed to reduce service delay and provide high-quality service. The comparison results of system's performances under different policies indicate that, partial service can utilize the system's resource in a better way.

A novel and facile oxidation-induced self-doping process of graphene-silicon Schottky junction by nitric acid（HNO3） vapor is reported. The HNO3 oxidation process makes graphene p-type self-doped, and leads to a higher built-in potential and conductivity to enhance charge transfer and to suppress charge carrier recombination at the graphene-silicon Schottky junction. After the HNO3 oxidation process, the open-circuit voltage is increased from the initial value of 0.36 V to the maximum value of 0.47 V, the short-circuit current is greatly increased from 0.80μA to 7.71μA, and the ideality factor is optimized from 4.4 to 1.0. The enhancement of the performance of graphene-Si solar cells may be due to oxidation-induced p-type self-doping of graphene-Si junctions.
