The rapid growth of new information services, especially like new media services, providing content distribution to clients with good quality of service(QoS) while retaining efficient is a great challenge. This paper investigates the QoS-aware replica placement problem (QRPP) for distributed caching system. We propose a dynamic programming algorithm for the problem in general graph, it first ensures the QoS requirement is satisfied of each request, then places the replica along the request forward path to minimize the total cost. The simulation results show the dynamic programming algorithm can achive a good balance between the access latency and the requested availability. When the request is more concentrated, the dynamic programming algorithm can have better performance than the MODULO and LRU both in access latency and requested availability.

Propose an evolution model for Peer-to-Peer (P2P) file-sharing systems, which try to capture the dynamic properties of P2P application networks. The model consists of four events: node joining, node departure, connection establishing and connection breaking, which captures the most important events in constructing network topology. The evolution model results in a differential equation about degree distribution, which can be solved analytically. By analyzing the solutions, some interesting results can be got.

With widely application of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) file sharing technique, the P2P traffic occupies most of the current Internet bandwidth. Modeling the behaviors of P2P file sharing systems is important for designing and evaluating such systems. In this paper, we develop a novel model to character the dynamic behaviors of P2P sharing systems. States in microcosmic view are defined and used to describe the interaction among the peers in systems. Then, a model in general form for P2P sharing systems is proposed. According to common software policies in P2P systems, we embody the model. To verify the validity and reasonability of the proposed model, P2P simulations are conducted.

In the paper, a neurodynamic-based energy efficiency optimization strategy(NEE-OS) is proposed to decrease the energy expenditure of robotic manipulators. Different from the traditional approaches, the proposed NEE-OS integrates several necessary constrains from the environment and the robotic manipulator, which could affect energy consumptions of the robotic manipulator in engineering applications to a large extent. To handle the constraints formulated as equalities and inequalities, the energy efficiency optimization problem is converted into a constrained quadratic programming(QP) problem, which is solved using a linear variable inequality-based primal-dual neural network(PDNN) efficiently.
