To design a routing protocol that saves sensor node energy while meeting the needs of different applications has become a research focus in wireless sensor network. In this paper, we propose Energy-Efficient and Delay-Constrained Routing (EEDCR) protocol, in which delay-sensitive packets are transmitted along the shortest path to minimize their end-to-end delay, while others are sent to the next hop which is selected based on local neighbor information, e.g., the remaining energy, the proportion covered by the length of data in the total length of the queue and the depth, which alleviates congestion at hot spots. The simulation results show that EEDCR reduces the average end-to-end delay, balances the energy consumption, and prolongs network lifetime.

In the scenario of up links from users to cooperating nodes are not reliable, we construct a wireless channel model and introduce channel coding and network coding into cooperative communication system and propose a cooperating scheme based on joint channel-network coding. As metric of system performance, according to Shannon theorem, the system outage probability is analyzed and an expression is provided. Based system outage probability, we study the impact of energy and rate allocation, and provide an appropriate allocation coefficients. Analysis and simulation show that, even though the up links from users to cooperating node are not reliable, our cooperating scheme also can achieve spatial diversity, and improve system performance.

Range ambiguity in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging primarily arises from scattered energy of bright targets out-side the interested region. So to reduce the ambiguity, we need to identify these targets additionally, which yields an ill-posed problem. To find a feasible solution where the range ambiguity can be sufficiently reduced, we propose in this paper a new method using compressed sensing, a theory which tells when sparse signal can be reconstruct from undetermined linear system, by observing that the recognizable targets are approximately sparse in the ambiguous range zones. Therefore, it is possible to reconstruct the main region and identify the ambiguous targets simultaneously. The simulation results demonstrate the validation of the proposed method.

In this work, with respect to the uncertainty about the individual information, we investigate the relay power allocation problem from the energy-efficient, Pareto optimal, and competitive fairness perspective. At first, we design an easy-implementation energy efficiency metric, which aims at striking a balance between the QoS provisioning and the energy consumption. Then, an auction mechanism is proposed for relay power allocation. By transferring the auction mechanism into a game, we prove the existence, uniqueness, and Pareto optimality of the Nash equilibrium (NE) for our auction game, and show that the allocation strategies from the NE can achieve the energy efficiency in terms of the proposed metric. Next, we develop a distributed relay power allocation algorithm based on our best-response functions to reach the Pareto optimal NE. Importantly, we not only certify the convergence of the proposed algorithm, but also provide quantitative analysis on it. Extensive simulations results are conducted to confirm the validity of the analytical results.

Attack Tree has been widely used in network risk evaluation. However, in most situations attack trees can only describe the network risk in a visualized way and without any analysis of risk probabilities. This paper proposes Numen, a novel network risk evaluation mechanism based on an improved type of attack tree which is called naïve bayes-based attack tree. The Bayesian network theory is adopted to quantify the probability value of the leaf node in attack trees. The experiment shows that this mechanism is effective and it can provide help for laying a security policy effectively.
