Frequent itemsets mining is often used to find medication law from dataset of Chinese herb prescriptions. Threshold of support count is difficult to set for traditional algorithm of frequent itemsets mining. In the meantime, the number of frequent itemsets is always so big that the result is hard to understand. Some algorithms were proposed to find significant and redundant-aware itemsets. However, the itemsets obtained could not reflect all the information in the dataset. In this paper, a new method was proposed to obtain a collection of itemsets which had the feature of significant, redundant-aware and comprehensive. Firstly, closed frequent itemsets were mined from the dataset of Chinese herbs prescriptions using CHARM algorithm. Then, the itemsets were compressed by FICMC (Frequent Itemsets Compressing based on Minimum Cover) algorithm. Medication law of Chinese herbs could be fully mined from the dataset using this method.

Brain-computer interface (BCI) controlled wheelchair robots can serve as powerful aids for severely disabled people in their daily life, especially to help them move voluntarily. In order to better understand human “thought”, owing to the development of the hybrid brain/muscle interface technique, in this paper, we present a real-time hybrid brain/muscle interface to control a wheelchair directly to keep the disables recovering several motion capabilities by using noninvasive motor imagery Electroencephalography (EEG) and Electromyography (EMG). The EMG and EEG signals from the users are extracted to control the motion of an intelligent wheelchair. Both signals processing consists of off-line training, online control evaluation, and real-time control. An algorithm called the common spatial patterns (CSP) is used in this human-robot system to extract the most discriminative spatial patterns pairs as features. The extensive experiments were conducted on the developed human-wheelchair systems to verify the proposed approaches.

In many applications of Wireless Sensor networks, it is crucial to know the location of sensor nodes. The distribution of the sensor nodes in many scenes is not uniform. However, it is impossible to equip all nodes with GPS receivers or configure the location for each node manually. Thus many localization methods have been proposed, such as the classical multi-dimensional scaling(MDS) localization algorithm. However, it has a low accuracy in large scale of sensor network with a lot of nodes. Thus, a random diffusion distributed localization algorithm is proposed in this paper. Results of simulations show that all the nodes can find their positions in 15 rounds when the network has 200 nodes in a square network. The localization algorithm has less running time, and provides a lower complexity than the classical MDS algorithm. The precision of this localization technique is restricted by the number of anchor nodes, communication radius of sensor node and the connectivity of network.

In network service systems, satisfying quality of service (QoS) is one of the main objectives. Admission control and resource allocation strategy can be used to guarantee the QoS requirement. Based on partially observable Markov decision processes (POMDPs), this paper proposes a novel admission control model for video on demand (VOD) service systems with elastic QoS. Elastic QoS is also considered in resource allocation strategy. Policy gradient algorithm is often available to find the solution of POMDP problems, with a satisfactory convergence rate. Through numerical examples, it can be shown that the proposed admission control strategy has better performance than complete admission control strategy.

In this paper, we propose a new multicast fault-tolerant approach-FH-TFTM based on proposed multicast fault-tolerant algorithms. It can go over problems faced in traditional approaches, for example node failure, unpredictable problems, time delay, network cost and loop avoidance.
