Nowadays, more and more large IT projects need to unit several entities to accomplish together, which forms project-oriented and geographically distributed virtual organizations and leads to new distributed risks. This article first gives a definition of the distributed IT projects (DITPs), then based on the literature, studies the risk characteristics, risk scope, risk factors of DITPs, and finally studies the developing process of the DITPs and gives a risk management process of iterative and incremental agile development of the whole lifecycle of the DITPs from a few respects such as the set of an organization goal of win-win, the project development of grading iteration and increment, the introduction supervisory mechanism of a third party, and the establishment of study mechanism of risk management. ©2011 IEEE.

There are lots of performance bottlenecks for real-time queries in mass data. Many methods can only improve the efficiency for frequently used queries, but it is not advisable to neglect the non-frequently used queries. This paper proposes a new integrated index model called BBI and illustrates the application of this model. Based on the feature of data warehouse and OLAP queries, this index model is built with inverted index, aggregation table, bitmap index and b-tree. It greatly promotes not only the efficiency of frequently used queries, but also the performance of other queries. The analytical and experimental results demonstrate the utility of BBI. © 2011 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

Currently, the earlier detection, diagnosis and treatment to breast cancer still mainly depend on physicians' experience and knowledge. Case-Based Reasoning(CBR) mimics oncologists' real thinking process and therefore is appropriate to the diagnosis decision making. In CBR, weight derivation as a key step is commonly conducted by expert score approaches using Delphi method. The accuracy of case matching largely changes with the selection and experience of experts. In this paper, information entropy for weight determination is introduced into the CBR. We conduct experimental studies to compare the performance of Delphi method and information entropy. The results suggest that: generally, information entropy is a better approach to weight derivation.

Service supply chain features human players as service vendor, service integrator, customer and service resource. It tends to be digitally connected, such as consulting, e-business and integrated enterprises. Our study uses a formal model and simulations to develop the effect of a service supply chain on equilibrium computation. Two insights arise on how a network can obtain equilibrium computation: forming the network structure of service supply chain; exploring entities behavior and equilibrium conditions. These results highlight the importance for service supply chain of adapting its network structure to equilibrium and application.

Security assessment of Thermal Power Plants (TPPs) is one of the important means to guarantee the safety of production in thermal power production enterprises. Essentially, the evaluation of power plant systems relies to a large extent on the knowledge and length of experience of the experts. Therefore in this domain Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) is introduced for the security assessment of TPPs since this methodology models expertise through experience management. Taking the management system of TPPs as breakthrough point, this paper presents a case-based approach for the security assessment decision support of TPPs (SATPP). First, this paper reviews commonly used approaches for TPPs security assessment and the current general evaluation process of TPPs security assessment. Then a framework for the Management System Security Assessment of Thermal Power Plants (MSSATPP) is constructed and an intelligent decision Support System for MSSATPP (IDSS-MSSATPP) is functionally designed. MSSATPP involves several key technologies and methods such as knowledge representation and case matching. © 2011 IEEE.

As the capacity of independent innovation is a vital measure standard for the success of a city's construction, the goal of this paper is to analyze and comment it. In order to make the research result more objective and precise, a system of evaluating indicator which includes the ability of innovation input, management, guarantee and output has been established. Moreover, by using the method of Principal Component Analysis, the capacity for independent innovation of nine cities in the Wanjiang city-region is clearly realized. Finally, hoping that this paper would be helpful to the construction of Wanjiang city-region for industrial transfer and provide a policy basis for the macroscopic readjustment and control as well as management. © 2011 IEEE.

Workflow mining is a concept in early era, it analyzes the workflow log in the control flow dimensions, to mining the actual process model, but ignores relationships among executors in workflow, hence it fails to effectively excavate the workflow log to find the implicit structure. In this paper, the organizational dimensions of workflow log will be the main focuses to be researched. The paper introduces executor similarity metrics and grid clustering to demonstrate the methods of the organizational structure mining based on executor similarity and organization mining based on grid clustering. Both of them are effective to extract the actual organizational structure from the workflow logs.

In China, there are many actual problems in some enterprises' performance management, such as the target dislocation, the unscientific assessment indicator, the assessment results' not linking to rewards and punishments, assessment system solidification and so on. All these problems have affected the effectiveness display of performance management to a great extent. In view of this, this article has constructed performance management system based on the balanced scorecard, taking advantage of balanced scorecard in the strategic management and the performance management.
