In recent years, diffusion models have achieved tremendous success in the field of video generation, with controllable video generation receiving significant attention. However, existing control methods still face two limitations: Firstly, control conditions (such as depth maps, 3D Mesh) are difficult for ordinary users to obtain directly. Secondly, it's challenging to drive multiple objects through complex motions with multiple trajectories simultaneously. In this paper, we introduce DragEntity, a video generation model that utilizes entity representation for controlling the motion of multiple objects. Compared to previous methods, DragEntity offers two main advantages: 1) Our method is more user-friendly for interaction because it allows users to drag entities within the image rather than individual pixels. 2) We use entity representation to represent any object in the image, and multiple objects can maintain relative spatial relationships. Therefore, we allow multiple trajectories to control multiple objects in the image with different levels of complexity simultaneously. Our experiments validate the effectiveness of DragEntity, demonstrating its excellent performance in fine-grained control in video generation. © 2024 ACM.

This volume presents the accepted papers for the 4th International Conference onGridandCooperativecomputing(GCC2005),heldinBeijing,China,during November 30 – December 3, *** conferenceseries of GCC aims to provide an international forum for the presentation and discussion of research trends on the theory, method, and design of Grid and cooperative computing as well as their scienti?c, engineering and commercial applications. It has become a major annual event in this area. The First International Conference on Grid and Cooperative computing (GCC2002)***2003received550submissions,from which 176 regular papers and 173 short papers were accepted. The acceptance rate of regular papers was 32%, and the total acceptance rate was 64%. GCC 2004 received 427 main-conference submissions and 154 workshop submissions. The main conference accepted 96 regular papers and 62 short papers. The - ceptance rate of the regular papers was 23%. The total acceptance rate of the main conference was 37%. For this conference, we received 576 submissions. Each was reviewed by two independent members of the International Program Committee. After carefully evaluating their originality and quality, we accepted 57 regular papers and 84 short papers. The acceptance rate of regular papers was 10%. The total acc- tance rate was 25%.

Energy consumption is an important issue in the design and use of networks. In this paper, we explore energy savings in networks via a rate adaptation model. This model can be represented by a cost-minimization network routing problem with discrete cost functions. We formulate this problem as an integer program, which is proved to be NP-hard. Then a constant approximation algorithm is developed. In our proposed method, we first transform the program into a continuous-cost network routing problem, and then we approximate the optimal solution by a two-step rounding process. We show by analysis that, for uniform demands, our method provides a constant approximation for the uniform network routing problem with discrete costs. A bicriteria network routing problem is also developed so that a trade-off can be made between energy consumption and network delay. Analytical results for this latter model are also presented. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

In the cyber-physical society, networks are constructed for information transportation. Among them, power law networks with the scale free property are extensively found in self-organized systems. The dynamicity of the cyber-physical society drives large-scale networks keeping interacting and evolving. Several networks can be integrated or merged into one network during the evolving process of the whole cyber-physical society either because they share the same nodes or because one network is trying to connect to the other. A natural question is that in what way two or more networks will merge with each other so that their previous scale-free properties still hold. In this paper, we conducted a set of simulation experiments to study the effects of different merging processes on the degree distribution of merged networks. The result can be used to understand the merging process of complex networks in the cyber-physical society and also can be used to design an integration strategy for multiple networks.

Networks and flows are everywhere in society, nature and virtual world organizing versatile resources and behaviors. Breaking boundaries, this keynote establishes a scenario of the future interconnection environment - a large-scale, autonomous, live, sustainable and intelligent network environment where society, nature, and the environment harmoniously co-exist, cooperatively work and evolve. It automatically senses and collects useful information from the nature, transforms raw information into resources in the environment, and organizes resources in semantic rich normal forms that can be easily understood by both machine and human. Geographically dispersed people and resources can work in cooperation to accomplish tasks and solve problems by actively participating material flows, energy flows, technology flows, information flows, knowledge flows and service flows in the environment through roles and machines, improving the environment and the nature. Parameters, characteristics and principles of the environment are proposed from the system methodology point of view. A case study on a live semantic link network under a reference model of the environment is presented. As a practice, the advanced architecture and technology used in China Knowledge Grid e-science environment IMAGINE-1 is introduced. © Springer-Verlag 2004.

Shape DNA: Basic generating functions for geometric moment invariants

Geometric moment invariants (GMIs) have been widely used as basic tool in shape analysis and information retrieval. Their structure and characteristics determine efficiency and effectiveness. Two fundamental building blocks or generating functions (GFs) for invariants are discovered, which are dot product and vector product of point vectors in Euclidean space. The primitive invariants (PIs) can be derived by carefully selecting different products of GFs and calculating the corresponding multiple integrals, which translates polynomials of coordinates of point vectors into geometric moments. Then the invariants themselves are expressed in the form of product of moments. This procedure is just like DNA encoding proteins. All GMIs available in the literature can be decomposed into linear combinations of PIs. This paper shows that Hu's seven well known GMIs in computer vision have a more deep structure, which can be further divided into combination of simpler PIs. In practical uses, low order independent GMIs are of particular interest. In this paper, a set of PIs for similarity transformation and affine transformation in 2D are presented, which are simpler to use, and some of which are newly reported. The discovery of the two generating functions provides a new perspective of better understanding shapes in 2D and 3D Euclidean spaces, and the method proposed can be further extended to higher dimensional spaces and different manifolds, such as curves, surfaces and so on. Convolutional neural network (CNN) based salient object detection (SOD) has achieved great development in recent years. However, in some challenging cases, i.e. small-scale salient object, low contrast salient object and cluttered background, existing salient object detect methods are still not satisfying. In order to accurately detect salient objects, SOD networks need to fix the position of most salient part. Fixation prediction (FP) focuses on the most visual attractive regions, so we think it could assist in locating salient objects. As far as we know, there are few methods jointly consider SOD and FP tasks. In this paper, we propose a fixation guided salient object detection network (FGNet) to leverage the correlation between SOD and FP. FGNet consists of two branches to deal with fixation prediction and salient object detection respectively. Further, an effective feature cooperation module (FCM) is proposed to fuse complementary information between the two branches. Extensive experiments on four popular datasets and comparisons with twelve state-of-the-art methods show that the proposed FGNet well captures the main context of images and locates salient objects more accurately. © 2021 ACM.

Trust is an important mechanism enabling agents to self-police open and dynamic multi-agent systems (ODMASs). Trusters evaluate the reputation of trustees based on their past observed performance, and use this information to guide their future interaction decisions. Existing trust models tend to concentrate trusters' interactions on a small number of highly reputable trustees to minimize risk exposure. When a trustee's servicing capacity is limited, such an approach may cause long delays for trusters and subsequently damage the reputation of trustees. To mitigate this problem, we propose a reputation management approach for trustee agents based on distributed constraint optimization. It helps a trustee to make situation-aware decisions on which incoming requests to serve and prevent the resulting reputation score from being affected by factors out of the trustee's control. The approach is evaluated through theoretical analysis and within a simulated, highly dynamic multi-agent environment. The results show that it can achieve close to optimally efficient utilization of the trustee agents' collective capacity in an ODMAS, promotes fair treatment of trustee agents based on their behavior, and significantly outperforms related work in enhancing social welfare.

The existed cloud data models can not well meet the management requirements of structured data including a great deal of relational data,therefore a two-layer cloud data model consisting of a presentation layer and a storage layer is *** the presentation layer,the conception of composite class and composite object are defined to represent the structure and the data of structured data *** the storage layer,a composite class in the presentation layer is transformed into a3-tuple which preserves data structure in mappings between composite attributes and their sub-attributes by using a rule set;and a composite object in the presentation layer is transformed into another 3-tuple which preserves a structured data set in simple objects without embed objects by using a CAO(Component-Attribute-Object) set in which each element mainly consists of a simple object and the identification of its father *** order to store data in key-value model,a method to convert a CAO to a pair of key-value is ***,two algorithms were proposed to convert data between the representation layer and the storage *** experiment shows the two conversion algorithms are *** proposed model is fit for the management requirements of structured data in the cloud because composite object can represent structured data and avoid join operation of relation data and CAO can be stored in key-value model.

Inference acceleration of large language models (LLMs) has been put forward in many application scenarios and speculative decoding has shown its advantage in addressing inference acceleration. Speculative decoding usually introduces a draft model to assist the base LLM where the draft model produces drafts and the base LLM verifies the draft for acceptance or rejection. In this framework, the final inference speed is decided by the decoding speed of the draft model and the acceptance rate of the draft provided by the draft model. Currently the widely used draft models usually generate draft tokens for the next several positions in a non-autoregressive way without considering the correlations between draft tokens. Therefore, it has a high decoding speed but an unsatisfactory acceptance rate. In this paper, we focus on how to improve the performance of the draft model and aim to accelerate inference via a high acceptance rate. To this end, we propose a CTC-based draft model which strengthens the correlations between draft tokens during the draft phase, thereby generating higher-quality draft candidate sequences. Experiment results show that compared to strong baselines, the proposed method can achieve a higher acceptance rate and hence a faster inference speed. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation.
