In order to evaluate surface deformation of sandwich plates with aluminum foam cores under high speed impact loading, a surface deformation detection method based on the parallel stereovision model is proposed in this paper. Total five constraints are combined together to optimize the disparity map, and the maximum and minimum disparity constraint is achieved by adjusting the disparity range to remove false parallax. 3D point clouds of deformed surface are calculated according to the parallel stereovision model, and the deformed surface are gained by Delaunay triangulation accordingly. A stereovision surface deformation measurement system is integrated on the base of the above algorithm, the surface deformation measurement test of aluminum foam cores sandwich plates under high speed impact loading is performed with the integrated system. Experimental results show that the reconstructed deformed surface can accurately display the surface deformation of sandwich plates with aluminum foam cores under high speed impact loading, this verifies the effec-Tivness and reliability of the proposed method. © The authors and ICE Publishing: All rights reserved, 2016.

A novel horizontal and vertical wall-to-wall and wall-to-floor connection methods for precast box-modularized structure with reinforced concrete shear walls (PBSRCSWs) are proposed in this paper. The entailing behavior of the proposed connections and the seismic performance of one full-scale six-story PBSRCSWs were experimentally studied by means of pseudodynamic substructure tests. In order to improve the relevant experimental accuracy, we presented and validated one versatile testing platform Hytest, combined with external displacement feedback control (EDFC;Hytest with EDFC). In greater detail, it was shown from the pseudodynamic substructure test results that the proposed Hytest with EDFC can effectively impose the desired displacements on the specimens rather than on the actuators. Moreover, both the horizontal and vertical wall-to-wall connections proposed for the PBSRCSWs exhibited a favorable behavior whilst the PBSRCSWs subjected to earthquake records showed an excellent seismic performance. This paper aims to investigate the effects of rice husk ash(RHA) on strength and penneability of ultra-high performance concrete(UHPC).The RHA was manufactured by calcining rice husk at temperature of 500 "C and incorporated in UHPC mixture to replace different ratio of SF by *** every mixture,fluidity,compressive and flexural strength,permeability before and after loading and pore structure were measured at different curing *** results show that the addition of RHA can enhance the compressive strength of UHPC at 3,28 and 120 days and refine the pore structure of UHPC measured by MIP method at 3 and 28 *** can also improve the permeability of UHPC before exposure to *** vertical loading or lateral loading,samples incorporated RHA behave better anti-permeability than the control mixture when the loading does not exceed 70%of load ***,RHA may bring about an increase in permeability of UHPC when being subjected to very high levels of loading(above80%).

The bond-slip relationship for CFRP-concrete interface has become a hot research topic. Aimed at the disadvantage of traditional measurement approaches, the binocular stereovision method using epipolar constraint is proposed to measure bond-slip curves of CFRPconcrete specimens in this paper. Based on the binocular stereovision principle, DIC method is employed to match the stereovision and sequential images of left and right cameras. Matching result of right images are corrected by using epipolar constraint. In tensile test, two CFRPconcrete specimens are measured by the stereovision measurement system, experimental results show that the bond-slip curves measured by proposed stereovision method has good agreements with that of LVDTs, the error mean is 0.01 mm. This testifies the reliability and effectiveness of the proposed method, indicating that the proposed stereovision method can accurately obtain the entire bond-slip curves of CFRP-concrete interface.

Data loss is a critical problem in structural health monitoring (SHM). Probability distributions play a highly important role in many applications. Improving the quality of distribution estimations made using incomplete samples is highly important. Missing samples can be compensated for by applying conventional missing data restoration methods;however, ensuring that restored samples roughly follow underlying distributions of true missing data remains a challenge. Another strategy involves directly restoring the probability density function (PDF) for a sensor when samples are missing by leveraging distribution information from another sensor with complete data using distribution regression techniques;existing methods include the conventional distribution-to-distribution regression (DDR) and distribution-to-warping function regression (DWR) methods. Due to constraints on PDFs and warping functions, the regression functions of both methods are estimated from the Nadaraya-Watson kernel estimator with relatively low degrees of precision. This article proposes a new indirect distribution-to-distribution regression method in the context of functional data analysis for restoring distributions of missing SHM data. PDFs are transformed to ordinary functions residing in a Hilbert space via the newly proposed log-quantile-density (LQD) transformation;the regression for distributions is realized in the transformed space via a functional regression model constructed based on the theory of Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Space (RKHS), corresponding result is subsequently mapped back to the density space through the inverse LQD transformation. Test results using field monitoring data indicate that the new method significantly outperforms conventional methods in general cases;however, in extrapolation cases, the new method is inferior to the distribution-to-warping function regression method. Sensors with high accuracy, low cost, and easy integration into data acquisition system is one of the most important parts in structural health monitoring (SHM) system. In this paper, triaxial accelerometer and gyroscope embedded into the smartphones are utilized to monitor the vibration response of structure. However, in such an acquisition system, structural response data from different smartphones, compared to traditional wired accelerometers, is not always collected at the same time. So, nonsynchronous data processing technology is demonstrated comprehensively herein. First, the application based on Android operating system is described in detail. Modal identification method based on acceleration data which is collected asynchronously by different smartphones is introduced. Thus high performance SHM platform based on smartphones can be built. Then, numerical simulation study shows that modal identification method based on nonsynchronous data is feasible. At last, effectiveness and feasibility of SHM system based on the smartphones is proved in shaking table test on a three-story sheer frame building model. © The authors and ICE Publishing: All rights reserved, 2016.

In this paper, the numerical model of the tornado generator is established by using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method. The radar observed wind profiles of Spencer tornado (1998) are used as inlet boundary condition to form tornado wind field, and the influence of surface roughness is taken into account. This method is used to generate the tornado wind field with the same intensity as recorded in our country, and the wind load characteristics of low-rise building located in different positions in the tornado wind field are analyzed. Then the finite element model of the building is established by ANSYS software, and the building is considered as steel frame-steel plate composite wall structure, which rationality of the finite element model is determined by the modal analysis. The one-way fluid structure interaction method is adopted to transfer the tornado load to the surface of the finite element model, and the displacement response, deformation and damage state of the wall surface and roof surface of the building in different locations of the tornado wind field are analyzed in detail.

A European pressurized reactor （EPR） steel containment liner structure is comprised of the cylinder part and the dome part. An introduction of the steel liner structure is presented, followed by studies on the key mechanical features of the construction process using a refined finite element method. The steel liner was divided into several modules and then assembled during construction. Firstly, the equipment structure used to hoist the liner module was optimized, the lifting lug was analyzed using a multi-scale finite element model; the wind speed limit during lifting was also studied. Subsequently, the effect of internal forces during assembly between the liner modules, the lateral pressure of fresh concrete, the non-uniform temperature load, and the wind load on the cylinder module was analyzed. According to the time-varying structural performance during continuous concrete pouring and the hardening construction, an ＂overlapping element and birth-death element＂ technique was adopted to analyze the deformation and stress of the long-span steel dome liner. In addition, the stability-bearing capacities of the dome structure during construction were also studied, which took into consideration the effect of the initial geometrical imperfections and the elasto-plasticity of the material. This study presents a reference in terms of the mechanics of the construction scheme and the safety of such a type of structure.

Creep behavior of reinforced concrete column in consideration of sectional stress redistribution

In order to investigate the effect of sectional stress redistribution on creep behavior of axial compressive concrete column, creep experiments were conducted on 12 groups of 100 mm×100 mm×400 mm concrete specimens under variable compressive stress. The effect of key parameters on the creep of reinforced concrete column and the sectional stress redistribution was investigated using the program edited by the MATlab software. The results show that the spring-back strain coefficient is 0.89 when the initial stress level is not larger than 0.35, and the initial stress level decreases with the increase of the initial stress level after the initial stress level is higher than 0.35. The ultimate creep value of axial compression reinforced concrete column decreases with the prolongation of the load age, the increase of longitudinal compression steel reinforcement ratio, section size and relative humidity, the decrease of concrete strength, initial stress level and temperature. The relations between the stable ultimate creep value of axial compression reinforced C20~C50 concrete column and each key parameters were fitted based on the simulation results. © 2016, Editorial Office of Journal of Building structures. A new multi-coefficients shrinkage model for concrete

The contracting experiments were conducted on 69 concrete prisms, which include 5 different strength grades, 2 curing conditions, and 2 humidity environments, and experimental data of concrete shrinkage for 589d were accumulated. The influence coefficients of some factors on the shrinkage of concrete were obtained by normalization and fitting 588 experimental data collected from references. A new multi-coefficients shrinkage model for concrete was proposed based on the formula of influence coefficients and experimental data, which was suitable for the humidity from 10% to 100%, temperature from 5℃ to 80℃, theoretical thickness from 10mm to 500mm, curing time from 1d to 500d, cement content from 190kg/m3 to 500kg/m3, and water-cement ratio(by mass) from 0.35 to 0.70. The calculation results from proposed shrinkage model is agreed well with the experimental data. © 2016, Editorial Department of Journal of Building Materials. All right reserved.
