The problem of robust active vibration control for a class of electro-hydraulic actuated structural systems with time-delay in the control input channel and parameter uncertainties appearing in all the mass, damping and stiffness matrices is investigated in this paper. First, by introducing a linear varying parameter, the nonlinear system is described as a linear parameter varying (LPV) model. Second, based on this LPV model, an LMI-based condition for the system to be asymptotically stabilized is deduced. By solving these LMIs, a parameter-dependent controller is established for the closed- loop system to be stable with a prescribed level of disturbance attenuation. The condition is also extended to the uncertain case. Finally, some numerical simulations demonstrate the satisfying performance of the proposed controller.

This paper addresses the cooperative guidance problem of multiple interceptors to capture the mobile targets. Due to the measurement noise and decoys, the location of the real target can only be described by a probability density function. A coverage-based guidance algorithm is developed to maximize the probability of interception. Moreover, the lower bound of interception probability is given, which goes up with the increase of the number of interceptors. Finally, the numerical example illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

In this work, a series of Cu2O-Ag/ZnO, Cu2O/ZnO and Ag/ZnO nanocomposites with various compositions were prepared via a hydrothermal method followed by chemical modification, and their antibacterial performance was investigated in detail. X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy results confirmed that 31 nm Cu20 and 30 nm Ag nanoparticles are well-dispersed on 202 nm ZnO grains to form a Cu2O/ZnO and Ag/ZnO heterojunction, respectively. The bi-heterojuction structure in the Cu20-Ag/ZnO provided a synergistic effect on antibacterial activity, and the(Cu2O)0.04Ag0.06ZnO0.9nanocomposites showed the highest antimicrobial activity of all samples with minimum inhibitory concentration and minimum bactericidal concentration against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus as low to 31.25 μg/mL, 250μg/mL, 125μg/mL and 500μg/mL, respectively. This is the first report of the antibacterial activities of Cu2O and Ag co-modified ZnO nanocomposites.

Number estimation of controllers is a fundamental question in pinning synchronization of complex networks. This paper studies the problem of controller number in synchronizing a complex network of coupled dynamical systems by means of pinning. For a complex network with a symmetric coupling matrix and full coupling between the nodes, we formulate network synchronization via pinning as a linear matrix inequality criterion, and provide a lower bound and an upper bound of the controller number for a given complex network with fixed architecture. Several numerical examples with Barabási-Albert network topologies are provided to verify our theoretical results.
