In this paper, we propose a parallel HEVC encoder scheme based on multi-core platform, which provides maximized parallel scalability by exploiting two-level parallelism, namely, the frame level parallelism and the CTB level parallelism. Inspired by the intra-CTB row level parallelism of WPP in HEVC, we investigate the inter-frame CTB prediction dependency to its reference CTBs, and find the inter-CTB correlation. Using this inter-correlation, we divide a frame into CTB units and create CTB-row level coding threads when their corresponding reference CTBs are available. Each thread is bonded to a processing core, therefore, both intra- and inter-CTB rows can be encoded in parallel. Moreover, we introduce a priority scheduling mechanism to control the coding threads. Experiments on Tilera-Gx36 multi-core platform show that, compared with serial execution, the proposed method achieves 3.6 and 4.3 times speedup for 1080 P and 720 P video sequences, respectively.

It is well known that most wireless channels are sparse. The channel impulse responses (CIRs) of certain size antenna array have a partially shared support due to the spatial correlation. Moreover, the CIRs during adjacent symbols have a common support due to the temporal correlation. In this paper, we propose a novel compressed channel estimation scheme for the uplink massive multi-input multi-out (MIMO) systems based on the assumption of time division duplexing (TDD) mode by exploiting the above mentioned temporal and spatial correlations. Then a joint subspace pursuit (JSP) algorithm is proposed. Simulation results demonstrate the proposed scheme using the JSP algorithm outperforms the classical channel estimation techniques.

In the view of the DV-Hop positioning algorithm which relies on the distance vector and beacon nodes, several aspects are improved: the average hop distance and hop count are corrected;a method to detect the abnormal distribution of beacon nodes is used to avoid the influence of the abnormal distribution on the positioning performance. The proposed algorithm is simple and effective. In this paper, we will investigate the energy efficient power loading problem in multipleinput multiple-output singular value decomposition (MIMO-SVD) architecture. Most existing power loading schemes are developed on the assumption that a scheduler possesses perfect channel state information (CSI). However, in practice, perfect CSI is not always available. In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient power loading scheme for MIMO system under imperfect CSI, taking into account the effects of channel estimation error (CEE). Specifically, we propose two algorithms to maximise the system energy efficiency. One is a global method which can achieve the global optimal solution with high computational complexity;the other is a suboptimal method which can obtain the approximate optimal solution with lower computational complexity. Simulation results validate the effectiveness and robustness of our proposed power loading scheme. Copyright © 2015 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

A resource allocation algorithm for D2D users which establishes an optimization problem aimed at maximizing D2D users throughput and guaranteeing cellular users QoS is proposed in this paper. To solve the problem there need two steps. First, the sub-carrier allocation process based on balancing the quality of both cellular and D2D users is given, and then the sub-gradient method of power allocation is shown. Simulation results prove that the throughputs of both D2D system and the total system are comparatively improved with the proposed algorithm. © 2014 by Binary Information Press

This paper focuses on decode-and-forward (DF) OFDM full duplex relaying (FDR) systems with multiple relays, where residual loop interference is taken into account. Closed-form and high-SNR approximate expressions for the outage probability are derived. Simulations are carried out to validate the derived outage performance and compare the performance of OFDM FDR with that of OFDM half duplex relaying (HDR) systems.

After wormhole attacks the routing mechanism of wireless sensor network (WSN) is damaged, then the hop count and distance between nodes cannot be well matched, so that the WSN becomes the anisotropic sensor network, resulting in security treats for WSN. Considering that wormhole attacks can cause the changing of node connectivity, through the theoretical analysis and derivation, the paper has proposed a method which detects wormhole attacks with the connected relation of high connectivity nodes, and optimizes routing with the help of the normal nodes outside the wormhole. Simulation results show that the algorithm can well detect wormhole attacks and has better localization accuracy In addition, the effect is more obvious in the case of the wormhole nodes with large communication radius and long distance.

Joint power control and access control scheme in two-tier femtocell networks

Femtocell networks have greatly improved indoor coverage, while the interference to macrocell and between femtocells has become a severe problem to be settled with the dense deployment of femtocell access points (FAPs). This paper puts forward a scheme to combine power control and access control in femtocell networks. Based on Stackelberg game, this paper takes FAPs as leaders and macrocell users (MUEs) as followers. FAPs firstly make decision of their transmission power, and then MUEs decide which base station to access to accordingly. Simulation results show that this scheme enhances users' average throughput compared with general power control scheme, especially improving MUEs' performance to a large extent.

This paper studies the power control problem in femtocell system based on Nash non-cooperative game theory. It designs an utility function taking fem stations＇ transmit power as variable and relates it to the requirements of macro users＇ and fem users＇ signal to interference plus noise ratio （SINR）. The utility also takes the impact of fem stations＇ location into account and improves the fairness of non-cooperative game. On this basis, this paper proposes a distributed power control algorithm and proves the existence and uniqueness of Pareto optimal point. The simulation results show that the algorithm improves the convergence speed and system performance through improving users＇ SINR.
