Gathering reliable labeled samples for polarimetric synthetic aperture (PolSAR) image classification is laborious. Moreover, applying a trained classifier to new domains often leads to noticeable performance degradation due to domain disparities. Therefore, this paper proposes the novel complex-valued cross-domain (CD) few-shot learning classification (CCFSLC) method for PolSAR images to address these issues. Firstly, the transferrable knowledge learning module (TKLM) with a complex-valued feature encoder (CVFE) is trained using source data with sufficient labeled samples. Then, the deep few-shot learning module (DFSLM), constructed using the pre-trained CVFE, is trained by episodes in both source and target domains, with only minimal target labeled samples. Meanwhile, the adversarial domain adaptation module (ADAM) is employed to eliminate domain shift. The proposed CCFSLC mainly focuses on exploring discriminative information from raw PolSAR data, while reducing the domain gap to recognize novel categories in unseen domains with only a few annotated samples. Experiments on typical PolSAR datasets validate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © The Institution of Engineering & Technology 2023.

DisenGCD: A Meta Multigraph-assisted Disentangled Graph Learning Framework for Cognitive Diagnosis

Existing graph learning-based cognitive diagnosis (CD) methods have made relatively good results, but their student, exercise, and concept representations are learned and exchanged in an implicit unified graph, which makes the interaction-agnostic exercise and concept representations be learned poorly, failing to provide high robustness against noise in students’ interactions. Besides, lower-order exercise latent representations obtained in shallow layers are not well explored when learning the student representation. To tackle the issues, this paper suggests a meta multigraph-assisted disentangled graph learning framework for CD (DisenGCD), which learns three types of representations on three disentangled graphs: student-exercise-concept interaction, exercise-concept relation, and concept dependency graphs, respectively. Specifically, the latter two graphs are first disentangled from the interaction graph. Then, the student representation is learned from the interaction graph by a devised meta multigraph learning module;multiple learnable propagation paths in this module enable current student latent representation to access lower-order exercise latent representations, which can lead to more effective nad robust student representations learned;the exercise and concept representations are learned on the relation and dependency graphs by graph attention modules. Finally, a novel diagnostic function is devised to handle three disentangled representations for prediction. Experiments show better performance and robustness of DisenGCD than state-of-the-art CD methods and demonstrate the effectiveness of the disentangled learning framework and meta multigraph module. In this paper, an optimized enhanced-mode p-GaN high electron mobility transistor (p-GaN HEMT) is proposed, in which the barrier layer is set into a composite structure with a lateral gradient of Aluminum component (LGC) from the drain edge under the gate towards both source and drain, respectively. By leveraging the polarization effects from different heterojunctions, a two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) with gradually changing density is formed laterally in the channel layer, which more precisely modulates the electric field distribution in the gate-drain region, enhances the voltage resistance of it, and reduces leakage current, thereby enhancing the breakdown voltage of the device and improving the output performance. The breakdown voltage of the proposed optimized LGC-HEMT under simulation is 716.73V, which is 13.1 % higher than that of the conventional p-GaN HEMT (633.64V), while the specific on-resistance $(\mathrm{R}_{\mathrm{o}\mathrm{n},\mathrm{s}\mathrm{p}})$ is only 1.34 $m\Omega\cdot cm^{2}$ , and the Baliga's figure of merit (BFOM) changes from 216.42 to 382.68 $MW/cm^2$ , which is 76.82% higher, hinting at the promising potential of the proposed HEMT.

A novel wideband miniaturized composite monopole antenna is proposed, analysed and investigated in detail, where the antenna consists of a conical monopole structure with a loaded capacitive disc. In wireless communication systems, accurate channel estimation is essential to ensure the performance of wireless communication systems. Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output (M-MIMO) systems have a dramatic increase in the number of channels to be estimated due to the large number of antennas, which poses a great challenge to the computing resources of the base station, and one solution is offloading these computing tasks of channel estimation to other computing nodes with more computing resources (such as servers). However, in real life, computing nodes are not willing to participate in channel estimation because of their equipment and operation cost. In order to solve this problem, this paper introduces blockchain technology and designs a blockchain-based transaction scheme for channel estimation (BTS-CE) to solve the problem of computing resources transaction for massive MIMO channel estimation, and designs the specific process of the scheme. In order to solve the problem that computing nodes cannot complete the computation task due to failure or malicious disconnection, a task allocation model is designed to assign a computation task to multiple computation nodes. The security of the transactions is guaranteed through the blockchain. Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) consensus mechanism cannot be applied to the public chain due to its low performance caused by a large number of nodes participating in consensus, this problem is solved by selecting some active nodes as consensus nodes. Simulation results show that improved PBFT(IPBFT) is lower in transaction delay and higher in throughput than PoW consensus mechanism. © 2022 ACM.

In the Software Defined Network (SDN), the terminal has been connected to the network in the process when an access point failure or damage, if the access point is not properly selected, it will lead to a decline in the quality of service applications. To address this problem, most traditional AP selection methods use access point selection based on received signal strength without take into account the channel and channel capacity of the access point access, while this paper uses Deep Neural Networks (DNN)-based access point (AP) selection method and considers the channel and channel capacity as part of the parameters. In the SDN controller, the received signal strength, throughput, number of connected devices, channel, and the channel capacity and access point performance quality are used as the input and label of the DNN, respectively. The analysis and simulation results show that the algorithm can select AP with better performance quality compared with the traditional AP selection method based on received signal strength, and the correct rate is significantly improved by 5% when compared with the AP selection method based on feedforward neural network. Meanwhile, the DNN-based access point selection method in SDN achieves flexible control of network traffic and balances the load of access points in the network. © 2022 IEEE.

The Area Under the ROC Curve (AUC) is a well-known metric for evaluating instance-level long-tail learning problems. In the past two decades, many AUC optimization methods have been proposed to improve model performance under long-tail distributions. In this paper, we explore AUC optimization methods in the context of pixel-level long-tail semantic segmentation, a much more complicated scenario. This task introduces two major challenges for AUC optimization techniques. On one hand, AUC optimization in a pixel-level task involves complex coupling across loss terms, with structured inner-image and pairwise inter-image dependencies, complicating theoretical analysis. On the other hand, we find that mini-batch estimation of AUC loss in this case requires a larger batch size, resulting in an unaffordable space complexity. To address these issues, we develop a pixel-level AUC loss function and conduct a dependency-graph-based theoretical analysis of the algorithm's generalization ability. Additionally, we design a Tail-Classes Memory Bank (T-Memory Bank) to manage the significant memory demand. Finally, comprehensive experiments across various benchmarks confirm the effectiveness of our proposed AUCSeg method. This paper aims to investigate the ability of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) damaged in multi-user environments to eliminate interference. Our research found that even if the RIS is damaged, interference can still be eliminated in the absence of a direct path and when the number of RIS is sufficient. In order to solve interference cancellation, we adopted the alternating projection algorithm, which ensures local convergence and good convergence speed.

A pattern reconfigurable dual-port multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna system utilizing Characteristic mode theory is proposed at 2.45GHz. By using the selective incentives of four characteristic modes, six pairs of balanced inductive exciter (BIEs) and the antenna are integrated to realize the selective incentives of the four patterns. In the feeder network, by changing the state of the PIN diode, the two ports realize selective incentive to obtain four working states. The test results show that the pattern reconfiguration technique is reliable and can be used in other types of structures. © 2021 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

In this paper, a compact and high selectivity millimeter wave on-chip band-pass filter using GaAs pHEMT technology is proposed. A compact lumped element unit, which consists of a series LC resonator and an extra capacitor, is used to produce a transmission zero near the pass-band without occupying much area. The proposed filter consists two of the proposed resonators. An additional series resonator is grounded to produce a transmission zero. The area of the proposed filter is only 0.816×0.607mm2. The presented filter is worked on 25.5 GHz, the 3-dB bandwidth is 21.5 GHz to 29.5GHz. The insertion loss is around 1.1dB, and the return loss is better than 17dB. © 2021 IEEE.
