PASS: An adaptive multi-copy routing scheme for intermittently connected mobile Ad Hoc networks

Intermittently Connected Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (ICMANs) are mobile networks in which complete source-to-destination paths do not exist most of the time. This paper proposed a Predictable Adaptive Seed Spray routing (PASS) for intermittently connected mobile Ad Hoc networks. PASS is a cost-efficient delay-bounded routing protocol without network parameters and provides acceptable and resilient service in the face of challenged environments. Simulations have shown that PASS outperforms existing schemes such as Epidemic, binary spray & wait and AMR with respect to routing cost and adaptability.

In this paper, identification and verification approach based on human iris pattern is presented. The system is based on several steps from capturing the iris pattern, determining and localizing the iris boundaries, transformation of localized iris into rectangular and polar components, extracting the features from The image, based on wavelet transformation and at the end the matching of the iris. Matching is based on calculating the hamming codes of different irises. The algorithms used in this research are computationally effective, reliable, robust, and meet the industry standards in efficient and effective maimer. The accuracy of the presented work shows that our system is ideal for human recognition at high security places. © 2004 IEEE.

If a user wants to acquire different network services from various application servers in a traditional single server environment,the user must register these servers separately and remember different usernames and passwords for different *** solve these problems,a lot of authentication schemes for multi-server environment have been ***,Odelu and Das et *** a secure multi-server authentication protocol based on smart card,biometric and elliptic curve cryptography(ECC) .We firstly analyze Odelu et al.'s scheme and find some flaws as follows:1) the scheme may suffer Denial of Service(Dos) attack and insider attack;2) The scheme doesn't have strong robustness because improper work of the register center(RC) may lead to the collapse of the whole system;3) There are some design flaws in this *** example,the user cannot choose his/her identity randomly and the register center needs to maintain a data *** order to solve these problems,this paper proposes a new secure three-factor authentication protocol for multi-server environment based on Chebyshev chaotic map and secure sketch *** verify the security of the proposed scheme,we simulate our scheme using BAN logic and Pro Verif *** a thorough analysis,we can see that the proposed schemenot only has stronger security but also has less computation cost than Odelu et al.'s protocol.

This paper presents a sparsity-based multi-target localization method for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar systems using distributed antennas. Since targets usually lie at some points within the localization domain, we are able to exploit this sparsity to convert the radar localization problem into a distributed recovery solution. Based on this natural sparsity, in this paper we introduce a block-sparse illustration model for distributed MIMO radar and propose a completely unique block-sparse recovery algorithmic rule supported approximate l0 norm diminution. The novelty of this technique is using l0 norm to push inter-block sparsity within the signals and also the optimisation problem is resolved by an ordered procedure in conjunction with a conjugate-gradient technique for quick reconstruction. Moreover, the amount of targets doesn't be well-known in advance. The effectiveness of this technique is incontestable by simulation results that obtain better localization performance and reduce computation complexness for giant sized data. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper explores Chinese semantic role lab.ling (SRL) for nominal predicates. Besides those widely used features in verbal SRL, various nominal SRL-specific features are first included. Then, we improve the performance of nominal SRL by integrating useful features derived from a state-of-the-art verbal SRL system. Finally, we address the issue of automatic predicate recognition, which is essential for a nominal SRL system. Evaluation on Chinese NomBank shows that our research in integrating various features derived from verbal SRL significantly improves the performance. It also shows that our nominal SRL system much outperforms the state-of-the-art ones. © 2009 ACL and AFNLP.

In order to introduce effective text-retrieval technologies into content-based image retrieval, a novel method based on string-matching technology was presented incorporating the different sensitivity along variant directions of human visual system. The image is firstly divided into non-overlapped blocks and sub-feature is extracted according to the human visual feature. Then, a novel descriptor is defined. Based on which, the sub-features is mapping into characters and the image into the text. Finally, the technology of the character string matching is adopted as the similarity measurement. Meantime, the situation information of character is considered, an adjusted method is proposed. Experimental results show that the proposed method has sound and robust retrieval performance. © 2009 IEEE.

Water quality inspection (WQI) is one of the primary ways to ensure the safe utilization of water resources, and complicated data modeling, fusion and analysis play a significant role in seeking the resource with the best water quality. Nevertheless, the challenges of missing data, relatively large differences in decision results and bounded rationality owned by decision-makers (DMs) in terms of WQI still exist nowadays. Thus, from the aspect of stable and behavioral decision-making in multi-granularity incomplete intuitionistic fuzzy information systems (MG-IIFISs), the paper investigates a comprehensive multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) approach for the application of WQI. First, the concept of MG-IIFISs is built by modeling MAGDM problems with intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs), then a new transformation scheme is constructed for transforming MG-IIFISs into multi-granularity intuitionistic fuzzy information systems (MG-IFISs) based on the similarity principle. Second, three types of multigranulation intuitionistic fuzzy probabilistic rough sets (MG IF PRSs) are developed by referring to the MULTIMOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis plus the full MULTIplicative form) method. Afterwards, attribute weights are objectively calculated based on the best-worst method (BWM), and a new stable and behavioral MAGDM approach is constructed by means of the TODIM (an acronym in Portuguese for interactive multi-criteria decision-making) method. At last, a case study in the setting of WQI is conducted with the support of a UCI data set, and sensitivity analysis, comparative analysis and experimental analysis are investigated to display the validity of the proposed approach. In general, the proposed approach improves the stability of decision results via MULTIMOORA and BWM, and also fully considers the bounded rationality of DMs' psychological behaviors from the aspect of the TODIM method, which has certain advantages in the community of MAGDM studie

A novel sliding mode control (SMC) method for indirect current controlled three-phase parallel active power filter is presented in this paper. There are two designed closed-loops in the system, one is the DC voltage controlling loop and the other is the reference current tracking loop. The first loop with a PI regulator is used to control the DC voltage approximating to the given voltage of capacitor and the output of PI regulator through a low-pass filter is applied as the input of the power supply reference currents. The second loop implements the tracking of the reference currents using integral sliding mode controller, which can improve the harmonic treating performance. Compared with the direct current control technique, it is convenient to be implemented with digital signal processing system because of simpler system structure and better harmonic treating property. Simulation results verify that the generated reference currents have the same amplitude with the load currents, demonstrating the superior harmonic compensating effects with the proposed shunt active power filter compared with the hysteresis method. © 2012 IEEE.

Random Vector Functional Link (RVFL) is a single hidden layer feed forward network which can be trained with non-iterative learning methods. Concretely, the input weights and hidden biases in RVFL can be randomly generated and then the calculation of the output weights can be reduced to solve a regularized least squares regression formula. Though RVFL network obtained promising performance in diverse applications, most of its current variants work mainly for supervised tasks such as classification and regression while less effort was made to utilize the unlab.led data. In this paper, we propose an unsupervised RVFL model by simultaneously considering the local manifold structure and the global discriminative information of data. The newly formulated unsupervised discriminative RVFL (UDRVFL) model can be efficiently solved by handling an eigen-value decomposition operation. We conduct experiments by comparing UDRVFL with several state-of-the-arts on representative benchmark data sets and the results demonstrate that it has very competitive performance in data clustering. © 2021 IEEE.

Side chain packing is a crucial step for protein structure prediction. And the quality of rotamer library has important implications in side chain packing. This paper assess dunbrack rotamer libraries and simple sampling rotamer libraries for certain structures by comparing the native structure and solutions come from rotamer libraries. Results of eleven hard targets in CASP9 show that the best solution is near to the native structure. Otherwise, there is no native structure in protein structure *** compare the best solutions which choosing by lower RMSD and energy, it shows that the best solution which choosing by lower energy is near to the best solution which choosing by low RMSD. So, in the case of unknown native structure, the energy guided choosing is necessary, but it must adopt some other method such as clustering to select the best solution. © 2010 IEEE.
