The resource limitation of mobile devices causes the problem that the existing image processing software based on the centralized computing mode had difficulty running in mobile devices. A solution is given in the paper by adopting web service-based image processing method. For one thing, image processing tasks were distributed to service providers' service registry and service requesters. For another, what the service providers should do was only to invocate the specific image processing services provided by service providers. Consequently, web service-based solution reduces the resource consumption of mobile devices by redistributing image processing tasks. Compared with traditional methods of image processing, Web service-based image processing method has the advantages of loose coupling and component oriented and can take full advantage of the computing resources in heterogeneous network. Thus web service-based image processing method can effectively solve the resource bottle-neck that traditional image processing software had. ©2009 IEEE.

The image data are obtained by a variety of multimedia, information equipment, which include amount of information, extensive coverage, and redundancy in ubiquitous computing paradigm. In order to make use of these information reasonably and efficiently, it is necessary to fuse such massive data, therefore the multi-sensor image information fusion become a key technology to ubiquitous computing. A new approach of image data fusion based on fuzzy neural network (FNN) is presented in this paper. Here, neural network is a parallel information processing model, there are more adaptive and self-organization, and can accomplish the complexity of real-time computing and mass data retrieval, it demonstrate its unique superiority of image understanding, pattern recognition and the handling of incomplete information. In the new approach, fuzzy theory has the advantages such as: easy-to-understand, flexible and inclusive of non-precise data, as well as using expert knowledge and based on the natural language. The fuzzy neural network system developed by us has used in multi-sensor image fusion, proved that the fusion is fast, effective, good, and can meet the real-time requirements of ubiquitous computing. ©2010 IEEE.

This paper proposes a periodic double ring strip frequency selective surface (FSS) with dual-band stop behavior. The FSS elements are designed to be etched on the transparent coating of glass substrate in smart buildings, which acts as a dual-band notch filter on 2.45GHz and 5.4GHz to avoid the leakage of WiFi signal outside the building. All the simulation parts are simulated by using High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). The proposed FSS possesses 450MHz and 960MHz bandwidth with insertion loss more than -10dB around the two central operating frequencies 2.45GHz and 5.45GHz, respectively. Furthermore, the unit-cell structure provides a stable performance for both TE and TM polarizations with incident angles 0°-60 °. A prototype of the proposed FSS is fabricated and measured. Good agreement between the simulated and measured results is obtained. © 2015 IEEE.

computer science is a practical discipline. It is always a great challenge to evaluate students' computer practice using computer-aided means for large scale students. We always need to address problems such as suspected plagiarism and deviation of the overall difficulty factor. In this paper, a multi-dimensional assessment model is designed for CS courses based on the detailed practice processing data in an E-learning system. The model comprehensively evaluates the students' learning process and results in three aspects of correctness, originality, and quality detection. Besides, the teacher can easily participate in the assessment according to their needs. The correctness is an essential requirement, and the originality is based on the clustering results of students' behaviors after clone detection to curb homework plagiarism. SonarQube is used to detect code quality and put forward higher requirements for codes. Manual participation intelligence has improved the flexibility and applicability of the model to a certain extent. We applied this model on the EduCoder online education platform and carried out a comprehensive analysis of 485 students in the Parallel Programming Principles and Practice Class of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Experiment results confirm the distinction, rationality, and fairness of the model in assessing student performance. It not only gives students a credible, comprehensive score in large-scale online practical programming courses but also gives teachers and students corresponding suggestions based on the evaluation results. Furthermore, the model can be extended to other online education platforms. © 2020 ACM.

The fast development of learning techniques make it possible to intelligently adjust the traffic signal, also the promotion of the future network(e.g. 6G) provides the possibility to adjust the signal in real time. Several studies have proposed learning-based methods for signal control achieving superior performance compared with traditional methods. However, these methods mainly focus on improving the total efficiency for passing the intersection. To this end, a higher priority is usually given to the lane with larger traffic, which could cause the lane with few vehicles to be starved for a long time. Although traditional methods have better performance in preventing starvation, the efficiency still needs to be greatly improved. In this paper, we consider both the fairness and efficiency in intelligent traffic signal control and try to relieve such starvation while improving the total efficiency. Specifically, a deep reinforcement learning based approach is proposed to dynamically control the traffic signal according to real-time traffic information. Inspired by the proportional fair scheduling (PFS) in wireless networks, a new fairness-aware traffic signal control model is designed to maintain a good trade-off between efficiency and fairness. Extensive experiments are conducted to demonstrate that our method achieves better fairness while also provides a good efficiency guarantee. © 2021 IEEE.

In order to meet the requirements of different filtering specifications in a reconfigurable platform that supports multi-standard coexistence and high data rates, a general-purpose filter is indispensable. This paper presents a new architecture of a general filter composed of a lattice wave digital filter (LWDF) that has low sensitivity and excellent stability properties. Possessing advantages of small area and low latency, this general IIR filter can also achieve approximately linear phase. © 2011 IEEE.

Nowadays, there are increasing demand from electric vehicles that need to be charged during peak hours in a city. The number of traditional fixed charging stations is limited, which may not be sufficient to satisfy the charging demand of electric vehicle users. Mobile charging vehicles can be scheduled at fixed positions to serve as a fixed charging station, providing charging services for electric vehicle users, for relieving the pressure of mass charging demand. In this paper, the charging scheduling problem of mobile charging vehicle is modeled as a Markov Decision Process(MDP) problem, and a reinforcement learning method based on policy evaluation is adopted to solve this problem. The decision of the specific position to which the mobile charging vehicle is scheduled is determined by this method. In addition, the decision of how to dispatch electric vehicle charging orders is determined by a fixed algorithm. We propose two different order dispatching algorithms. According to the simulation, our proposed reinforcement learning method has superior results in terms of the efficiency of order processing and user satisfaction compared with the traditional greedy method. The two different electric vehicle charging order dispatching algorithms have their own advantages and disadvantages in terms of processing speed and effectiveness. © 2021 IEEE.

Federated learning is a privacy-preserving machine learning paradigm where a global model is trained collab.ratively across resource-limited devices such as mobile phones, wearable devices, and sensors while the training data remains on these devices. Recently proposed asynchronous federated learning framework FedAsync has addressed the problems occurred in synchronous federated learning such as wasting time waiting for all nodes to finish uploading or losing parts of the contribution of nodes due to some unexpected reasons. However, on the server-side, it is not suitable for concurrency due to the data race on the global model. We proposed a method named FedCrowd, where the server's concurrency is improved by elab.rately coordinating the working threads to relieve the data race on the global model. Several experiments are performed to show that our method could effectively increase concurrency of the server and reduce the training time. © 2022 IEEE.

Wireless sensor networks are open architectures, so any potential threat can easily intercept, wiretap and counterfeit the information. Therefore, the safety of WSN is very important. Since any single key system cannot guarantee the security of the wireless sensor network for communications, this paper introduces a hierarchical key management scheme based on the different abilities of different sensor nodes in the clustered wireless sensor network. In this scheme, the nodes are distributed into several clusters, and a cluster head must be elected for each cluster. Private communication between cluster heads is realized through the encryption system based on the identity of each head while private communication between cluster nodes in a same cluster head is achieved through the random key preliminary distribution system. For cluster head node plays a pivotal role in this scheme, a trust management system should be introduced into the election of the cluster head which will exclude the malicious node from outside the cluster, thus improve the whole network security. © 2009 IEEE.
