In this paper, we introduce memos, which integrates suitable memory management policies and schedules resources over the entire memory hierarchy in hybrid memory system. Powered by an OS kernel level monitoring tool, memos captures memory patterns online, and then leverages them to guide the memory page placement and data mapping. Experimental results show, on average, memos can benefit memory utilization, contributing to system throughput and QoS by 19.1% and 23.6%. Moreover, memos can reduce the NVM side memory latency by 3~83.3%, energy consumption by 25.1~99%, and benefit the NVM lifetime significantly (40× improvement on average).

To avoid performance fluctuation of radio frequency identification (RFID) system while the tag is attached on objects with different materials, a platform-tolerant UHF RFID tag antenna with stable high gain is proposed in this paper. The antenna is composed of an upper layer feeding loop and a lower layer planar dipole. Inductively coupling approach is adopted to feed, so that large mutual inductance could be introduced into the incident impedance of antenna, which enables great match between RFID chip and antenna. The coupling feeding method can also significantly decrease the impact on antenna impedance due to the introduced parallel capacity between radiation plane and platform. The realized results show that the antenna has an impedance bandwidth (S112 plate of aluminum, paper, copper, glass and air to be the platform, during these experiments the antenna gain varies less than 1dB. Compared with other cavity backed antenna or AMC, EBG based antenna, the antenna proposed in this paper has higher gain with an extremely simple structure which performs significant advantage for mass production.

In spite of great efforts to expand the network infrastructure, it is still hard to catch the rapid growing need to serve tremendous subscribers with significant traffic. To effectively allocate the resource among mobile telecommunication operators and Internet Service Providers (ISP), grasping the highly dynamic traffic patterns can enable effective network planning and optimization for state-of-the-art mobile Internet. We employ traffic behavior analysis method to analyze and model the Internet traffic. Due to the subscribers' number of streaming media accounting over 60% of the entire traffic, we conduct a complete study to analyze this kind of traffic. By contrast, we also give the analysis result of another application, Instant Message (IM). Applying our newly proposed clustering methodology, we describe the regional characteristic of applications. This research subsequently enables more subtle and efficient mobile Internet operating modes to benefit operators and ISPs.

Model verification is a crucial step in the development and optimization of Earth system models (ESMs). Recently, a deep learning approach in evaluating statistical consistency for the atmosphere component of ESMs (A-ESM-DCT) has been proven effective in model verification. However, due to the longer timescales required for the ocean to adjust compared to the atmosphere, achieving an efficient method for evaluating the consistency of ocean models necessitates extending model integration time while reducing ensemble simulation size. Traditional deep learning models, such as those in A-ESM-DCT, often lack robustness and fail to guarantee convergence in small data regimes. We introduce a deep learning consistency test for the ocean component of ESMs, referred to as O-ESM-DCT. The O-ESM-DCT is based on a physics-informed convolutional autoencoder (PIConvAE) model to achieve rapid convergence with significantly fewer simulations and adopts the data-fidelity and physical-driven losses as an indicator to determine the consistency. The O-ESM-DCT is applicable for evaluating the consistency of Community Earth system Model in heterogeneous computing environments as well as modifications to the compiler, numbers of computing cores, and model parameters. Our O-ESM-DCT offers an effective and objective solution for ensuring the reliability of the development and optimization processes for the ocean component of ESMs on high-performance computing systems.
