The automatic analyzing of erythrocyte image contributes to clinic blood-related disease treatment in Medical Image computer Aided Diagnosing. In our work, the original input data we concerned were Red Blood Cell images captured by Scanned Electron Microscope. What interested us more is the intensity information of each pixel in a cell, which is used for 3D height field recovering from the varied shading. The reconstructed depth map of each point on the surfaces is applied to calculate Gaussian curvature and mean curvature, which are used to produce surface type lab.l image. The distribution of different surface types is estimated to consist of a feature vector. In the end, a combined classifier based on support vector machine and particle swarm optimization was presented to train and classify the red blood cells. The experimental results shows classifier being efficient and easily to be implemented.
