The study of supply-demand is one of the most important issues in supply chain. Supply-demand relationship goes through the whole supply chain network. This paper analyses the lot-sizing model in stochastic demand non-cooperation non-discount game. One partner may be in an optimal condition in this model, but the other and whole supply chain are not. To improve this scene and optimize the whole supply chain and attain the win-win goal, a Stackelberg price-discount game model, cooperative game model and benefits-distributed mechanism were proposed in this paper. Lot sizing model for Buyer-Supplier under random demand environment is simulated and analyzed through a numerical example. That buyer-Supplier and supply chain's benefits are influenced by demand fluctuation is analyzed. © 2010 IEEE.

Developing an integration management system for business continuity, records and knowledge (IMS of BRK) is beneficial to the collab.ration, optimization and innovation of business continuity management system (BCMS), records management system (RMS) and knowledge management system (KMS) for organization. Comprehensive research and development requirements along with a cogent framework, however, have not been proposed for integrating three of them, which were proposed independently. Based on situational analysis of cross boundaries integration feasibilities in terms of common understandings, general principles and best practice frameworks from relevant national and international standards, this paper proposes integration thinking to combine the advantages of the three paradigms to sustainable competitive advantages; supported by international best practices, the authors propose an integration route covering five levels of integration framework, two integration approaches and three integration controls for dynamic accumulation, sharing and exchange of evidence, memory and knowledge in digital world and global competition.

Much research has been done on integrated use of ISO management system standards. Integrated use of management systems is identified to have shared values of varied integration impacts on resources efficiency building and sustainable development of business processes. However, little research has been done on integrated use of business continuity management systems (BCMS), records management systems (RMS) and knowledge management systems (KMS). This paper proposes a holistic integration management approach for collab.ration, optimization and innovation of the three management systems through mapping/building/operationalizing cycle for supply of efficiency building strategy to the dynamic accumulation, sharing, and exchanges of memory, evidence and knowledge of organization.

This paper analyzes the techno-economic performance of 600 MW coal-fired power plant with and without ammonia-based CO2 capture process, based on the operating data of an existing power plant. The simulation and analysis, with fully consideration of features of existing coal-fired power plants and the integration of CO2 capture process with steam cycle, are made to reveal the thermal and environmental performances of coal-fired power plants with and without CO2 capture. The results show that, when adopting CO2 capture process, the plant efficiency will decrease significantly, and the cost for electricity will increase dramatically. By comparison, the performances of the ammonia-based CO2 capture system are obviously better than that of the amine-based system, which may result from the fact that aqueous ammonia has a lower reaction heat demand for absorbent regenerating. © 2010 IEEE.

Soil erosion is a serious geo-environmental issue causing land degradation in China. Developing new techniques based on remote sensing data to assessf soil erosion will assist in the comprehensive treatment of environment and the sustainable management of soil resources. In this paper, land cover and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) were derived from Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) images to assess the soil erosion with DEM. These techniques will assist in the sustainable development of Guanting reservoir. ©2010 IEEE.

An efficient intruder deduction system with XOR

We propose a new intruder deduction system with XOR named IDX. By introducing the concept of abstract XOR term and its operation rules, IDX is able to eliminate complex equational reasoning of XOR. Moreover, it reduces the space complexity of the intruder deduction system from On to O2, which greatly improves the efficiency of the system. Finally, we prove that IDX is equivalent to traditional deduction system with XOR in terms of derivation. © 2010 Binary Information Press.

This paper proposes a new environmental friendly evaluation criterion to assess the comprehensive performance of coal-fired power plant. The new evaluation criterion, which is called the comprehensive Index of Energy, Resources and Environment (IERE), can synthetically evaluate the thermal, economical and environmental performance of power plants. Based on the new criterion, the paper analyzes the comprehensive performances of four typical 600MW coal fired power plants, discloses the relation regulation between power plant comprehensive performance criterion IERE and key independent design variables, and analyzes the main factors influencing the comprehensive performance of power plant. These achievements will provide a new idea and criterion for multi-objective comprehensive evaluation and design parameters optimization of coal-fired power plants. © 2010 IEEE.

The PMCHWT equation of the double negative media (DNG) is obtained based on its constitutive relationship. And the surface currents and radar cross section (RCS) at a single frequency point is computed by Method of moments (MOM). The asymptotic waveform evaluation (AWE) technique for dispersive dielectric medium is deduced and apllied to electromagnetic scattering analysis of double-negative medium within a given frequency band. ©2010 IEEE.

In the past two decades, the demands for web applications grow dramatically. The Client/Server architecture and the Browse/Server architecture are widely implemented into web applications. But some shortcomings are revealed in practical using, especially when many applications are run at mobile terminals nowadays. The information efficiency of B/S, which is indicated by the information quantity per bit, is low, while C/S applications are not flexible enough and often require annoying, unfriendly, time-consuming installation and update procedures. At the same time, widgets, as a light-weighted and flexible representation form, are providing excellent user experiences to more and more people. This paper is aimed to propose a new software architecture - the Widget/Server architecture. It combines merits of the information efficiency and light-weighted flexibility. Widget platforms' job can be divided into two layers: the representation layer and the service interaction layer. Web servers' jobs can be divided into three layers: the service providing layer, the information processing layer and data convergence layer. Some interfaces are defined to make the communications among layers standardized. A prototype project was also implemented to show the validity of the W/S architecture. ©2010 IEEE.

Land use change is a major issue in global environment change and is especially significant in rapidly developing urban regions of China was being witnessed. With its economic development, population growth, and urbanization in Chengdu, capital of the western province of Sichuan, China, have experienced a dramatic land use change over the past 30 years. Assessment on urban land use change is essential for policy makers to support sustainable development. In this paper, urban land use change in Chengdu using Landsat TM/ETM+images (2000-2008) based on RS and GIS is discussed. The result shows that the spatiotemporal change of urban land use was significant, the conversion between cultivated land and built-up land was intensive, more and more agriculture land was converted to non-agriculture land, therefore, urban area expands was very *** is also noted that decrease area of cultivated land was 12.025×104hm2, increase area of built-up land was 6.195×104hm2 over the past 8 years resulting in large scale urban land *** information of urban land use change based on RS and GIS is very useful to urban government and urban planners. © 2010 IEEE.
