Based on research on the amplitude of RTS in SMIC 90 nm CMOS nMOS 0.18μm × 0.15μm devices with a 1.4 nm gate oxide, an approach to diffusion that fits MOS operation principles better is proposed. Furthermore, a new mechanism in which a border trap changes the charge distribution of the gate and thus influences the channel current is also involved. Research shows that this method not only explains the experiment results, but also can be used to explain the distribution of RTS amplitude.

We study the problem of answering queries given a set of mappings between peer ontologies. In addition to the schema mapping between peer ontologies, there are axioms to give constraints to classes and properties. We propose a set of rules to build graphs for the axioms. Because the axioms have different properties, the generated graphs are classified into four sets. In each peer, its RDF/OWL query languages can support regular expressions. If it wants to be transitive along semantic paths in peer knowledge management systems, we must rewrite conjunctive and disjunctive queries between peers. Because conjunctive queries are well-understood, we focus on a novel algorithm to rewrite disjunctive queries along semantic paths based on the graphs. For all atoms of a disjunctive query, we consider its union as a set and find the maximum rewritings over peers through a graphical way. Finally we do extensive simulation experiments. The simulation results show our algorithm can generate more rewritings than the naive rewriting algorithm at each distance.

Porous Al2O3 ceramics were produced by a dry pressing technique and their characteristics were assessed. In terms of their microstructure the results showed that the open porosity varies with the type of pore-making agents. The open porosity is increased but fracture strength is decreased with an increase in the amount of pore-making agent. The fracture strength of Al2O3 ceramic matrix is increased by adding 5-15wt% ZrO22 particles (ZTA). In terms of their wet erosive wear characteristics the results from liquid-solid impinging jet tests can be used to determine the weak aspects of their microstructure. From examination of worn surfaces it is apparent that grain pull-out is the dominant mechanism of erosive wear. For the porous ceramics, wet erosive wear rate depends on strength, porosity and pore size. For porous Al2O3., ceramics having the same level of porosity, the larger the biggest pore size the higher the erosive wear rate. ZTA composite ceramic has a higher erosive wear resistance than that of Al2O3 ceramic with an equivalent level of porosity primarily due to its higher strength.

The novel aqueous solvent of cellulose which contains NaOH, thiourea and urea, was discussed furtherly in this article. At the temperature when long, needle-like crystals precipitated from the solvent, the dissolving of cellulose in the solvent was best. IR spectrum showed that the precipitated crystals were Thiourea itself, not others or their mixture. Dissolution of different kinds of pulps (cotton, wood, bamboo and rice straw) were observed under polarized optical microscope and highest soluble concentration of the pulps were 6.1%, 4.2%, 2.1% and 4.3% respectively. The rheological property of the clear cellulose solutions were studied by ARES. They exhibited very different viscosities, module characters and gelation temperatures.

Aluminosilicate refractory waste was used to prepare high performance ceramic ball grinding media with 75% Al2O3. The influence of milling time on the particle size of raw materials, the sintering temperature, and performance of ceramic balls were studied. Results show that with increasing milling time the particle size of the raw materials decreased, resulting in a decrease of ceramic ball sintering temperature and an increase in wear resistance and volume density. The wear rate and volume density of balls prepared by milling the materials for 72 h were 0.01886 %/h and 3.374 g/cm 3, respectively.

Dense HA/TCP bioceramics were immersed in pure bovine serum, rabbit serum and dog serum to observe apatite formation. Deposited crystals were examined using SEM. Results showed that some needle-like crystals formed on surface of sterilized HA/TCP, and needle crystals developed into sheet crystals and stick crystals after ceramics were immersed in bovine serum and rabbit serum respectively. The growth of crystals was maybe affected by the content of calcium, various kinds of albumen and alkaline phosphatase in different serums and the different pH of serum.
