Based on the principle of electric dipole radiation and the Planck's spectral distribution of emissive power, the enhancement of thermal radiation between two planar semiinfinite media or two nano-spheres was studied in this paper by the Monte Carlo method. By this simple method, some parameter's influence on the radiative heat transfer was investigated, such as the distance between two semi-infinite media, the particle's radius, the distance between two particles and the difference in temperature between two particles, and so on. This solution is not rigorous but simple. The results show that heat transfer can be enhanced by several orders of magnitude for the near field effect. And the radiative heat transfer is decreasing sharply with the increasing of the distance.

The partial-discharge(PD) signal usually mix up all kinds of interference signals, it has some limitation to extract faint partial-discharge impulse signal from powerful interference signal with traditional analytic method. In this paper, starting with the wavelet transform feature, we have researched the wavelet transform actions in the fields of eliminating white noise in the partial-discharge signal and extracting characteristic parameters from partial-discharge signal, exactitude of this method has been verified by simulating experiment, the result evince that the wavelet transform has very good effect on the fields of eliminating noise and diagnosing partial-discharge failure, so it will be worth studying further.

Unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) are identified as an integral part of future military forces. The coordinated route-planning problems of UAV team with various architectures are addressed in the framework of game theory. A two-stage route planner has been proposed, which combines various game models and the concept of evolutionary computation and is compatible with the cooperative/competitive nature envisioned for UAV team. Our route planner can handle different kinds of mission constraints in hierarchical style. Potential routes of each vehicle form their own sub-population, and evolve only in their own sub-population, while the cooperation and competition among UAVs are reflected by the definition of fitness function. Experimental results show the feasibility of generating the coordinated routes for UAV team using game theory methods.

This paper presents a hybrid method for the design of continuously adjustable reactors using SABER simulation package based on the conventional design results. This approach enables the designer to do modeling and parameter modification in an accurate and flexible manner. It also allows the designer to consider the impact of nonlinear effects and evaluate system performance in the course of reactor design. The designed reactor improves the performance and reliability of distribution networks, and overcomes the slow-response drawback of existing on-line adjustable arc suppression coils. Simulation results are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design method.

Influence of dresser setting highness error and assembling error on size precision and shape precision of dressed wheel section is studied and error emulational analyzing is carried out in NC dressing form wheel. Analyzing results indicate: influence of dresser setting highness error is quite small and can be ignored, influence of dresser radial or axial assembling error on shape precision of dressed wheel section is biggish and influence of axial assembling error is bigger among them, the latter can bring wheel section shape error of the same order as itself. Therefore, necessary measures must be taken to insure that assembling errors is smaller than 10 μm in dresser assembling, then requirement of form wheel dressing precision can be met.

This paper gives a term weighting method based on inverse document frequency, html tags and length of Chinese phrase, reports our method to select web text feature based on the messy genetic algorithm, provides an algorithm for web text classification based on improvement on lattice machine approach. It is often required to take a partition preprocessing before a complexity analysis is made for biomedical signal time series. Due to noise existing in signal measuring system, a wrong analysis result may be produced, and even the dynamic property of the original signal may be radically distorted in some case. In order to solve such problems, a delay partition method was presented. The proposed method can obtain the reconstructed string objectively represented the original signals. The simulation and electroencephalogram signal complexity analysis have shown that the delay partition method is proper and effective.

Crossed cube, a variation of hypercube, is a candidate for the interconnection network topology employed in parallel computing systems due to nearly half diameter and stronger subgraph embedding capabilities. Existence of various cycles (rings) in an interconnection network is essential for parallel algorithms that communicate data in token-ring mode. This paper addresses the existence of cycles with some specified properties in an n-dimensional crossed cube, CQn. We first propose the notion of double-vertex-cycle- connectivity for a graph, which provides a new measure of cycle embedding capability of the graph. We then prove that, for any two distinct vertices on CQn at a distance of d apart and each integer / satisfying 2d + 6 &le l &le |V(CQn)|, CQn contains a cycle of length l that goes through the two vertices. Due to the fact that a hypercube does not share these properties, crossed cube shows stronger cycle embedding capability than hypercube.

Cognition process is directly related to the brain functionality and is a dynamically changing system. Nonlinear analysis of EEG signals has been used as a means for studying the dynamical changes in cortical networks. In the course of cognition process, the activity complexity of the neuronal units is continually shifting. This phenomenon can be viewed with the topographic map and nonlinear EEG measures. The surrogate data method was used to show that EEG signals during cognitive activity are nonlinear. Additionally, we employ the compressed spectral array method to show that the γ band EEG is closely related to cognitive processes.
