Visual question answering requires a system to provide an accurate natural language answer given an image and a natural language question. However, it is widely recognized that previous generic VQA methods often tend to memorize biases present in the training data rather than learning proper behaviors, such as grounding images before predicting answers. Therefore, these methods usually achieve high in-distribution but poor out-of-distribution performance. In recent years, various datasets and debiasing methods have been proposed to evaluate and enhance the VQA robustness, respectively. This paper provides the first comprehensive survey focused on this emerging fashion. Specifically, we first provide an overview of the development process of datasets from in-distribution and out-of-distribution perspectives. Then, we examine the evaluation metrics employed by these datasets. Thirdly, we propose a typology that presents the development process, similarities and differences, robustness comparison, and technical features of existing debiasing methods. Furthermore, we analyze and discuss the robustness of representative vision-and-language pre-training models on VQA. Finally, through a thorough review of the availab.e literature and experimental analysis, we discuss the key areas for future research from various viewpoints. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. In order to investigate the effect of environmental wind on a tunnel with one blocked end fire under natural ventilation, a series of numerical simulations were conducted using large eddy simulation method in this study. The tunnel model is established by using the numerical simulation software FDS, and 36 groups of working conditions such as wind speed of 0-5m / s and wind angle of 45-135 are simulated. Combined with the simulation results of smoke spread, temperature and velocity vector, the smoke flow characteristics and temperature distribution characteristics in the tunnel with one blocked are analyzed, and some effects of the changes of ambient wind speed and direction on natural smoke exhaust in a tunnel with one blocked end are obtained. © 2022 The authors and IOS Press.

Anonymisation technique has been extensively studied and widely applied for privacy-preserving data publishing. However, most existing methods ignore personal anonymity requirements. In these approaches, the microdata consist of three categories of attribute: explicit-identifier, quasi-identifier and sensitive attribute. In fact, the data sensitivity should be determined by individuals. An attribute is semi-sensitive if it contains both QI and sensitive values. In this paper, we propose a novel anonymisation approach, called local anatomy, to address personalised privacy protection. Local anatomy partitions the tuples who consider the value as sensitive into buckets inside each attribute. We conduct some experiments to illustrate that local anatomy can protect all the sensitive values and preserve great information utility. Additionally, we also present the concept of intelligent anonymisation system as our direction of future work. © 2021 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Sampling is a fundamental method for generating data *** many data analysis methods are developed based on probability distributions,maintaining distributions when sampling can help to ensure good data analysis ***,sampling a minimum subset while maintaining probability distributions is still a *** this paper,we decompose a joint probability distribution into a product of conditional probabilities based on Bayesian networks and use the chi-square test to formulate a sampling problem that requires that the sampled subset pass the distribution test to ensure the ***,a heuristic sampling algorithm is proposed to generate the required subset by designing two scoring functions:one based on the chi-square test and the other based on likelihood *** on four types of datasets with a size of 60000 show that when the significant difference level,a,is set to 0.05,the algorithm can exclude 99.9%,99.0%,93.1%and 96.7%of the samples based on their Bayesian networks-ASIA,ALARM,HEPAR2,and ANDES,*** subsets of the same size are sampled,the subset generated by our algorithm passes all the distribution tests and the average distribution difference is approximately 0.03;by contrast,the subsets generated by random sampling pass only 83.8%of the tests,and the average distribution difference is approximately 0.24.

With the rapid popularization of EVs (Electric vehicles), the uncoordinated charging and swapping behavior of residential EVs may increase more power load during the peak period of the original urban power grid, affecting the stability of the power grid. Therefore, based on the high potential for scheduling the charging and discharging operations of EVs and batteries of battery swapping stations in residential quarters, this paper proposes an optimal dispatch strategy for urban residential quarters considering nearby battery swapping stations. First, the paper establishes a two-stage optimal electricity dispatch model that takes models of residential PV, the V2G (vehicle to grid) function of EVs, and the nearby battery swapping station into account. Second, to compare the total electricity cost and peak-valley difference before and after optimization, the paper also establishes a model for simulating uncoordinated charging and provides evaluation indices for comparison. Finally, based on specific data from a residential quarter in Shanghai and a nearby NIO battery swapping station, the effectiveness of the optimal electricity dispatch strategy is verified, and a specific scheduling plan is provided. © 2023 IEEE.

Emotion recognition in conversation (ERC) aims at accurately identifying emotional states expressed in conversational content. Existing ERC methods, although relying on semantic understanding, often encounter challenges when confronted with incomplete or misleading semantic information. In addition, when dealing with the interaction between emotional and semantic information, existing methods are often difficult to effectively distinguish the complex relationship between the two, which affects the accuracy of emotion recognition. To address the problems of semantic misdirection and emotional cross-talk encountered by traditional models when confronted with complex conversational data, we propose a semantic and emotional dual channel (SEDC) strategy for emotion recognition in conversations to process emotional and semantic information independently. Under this strategy, emotion information provides an auxiliary recognition function when the semantics are unclear or lacking, enhancing the accuracy of the model. Our model consists of two modules: the emotion processing module accurately captures the emotional features of each utterance through contrastive learning, and then constructs a dialogue emotion propagation map to simulate the emotional information conveyed in the dialogue;the semantic processing module combines an external knowledge base to enhance the semantic expression of the dialogue through knowledge enhancement strategies. This divide-and-conquer approach allows us to more deeply analyze the emotional and semantic dimensions of complex dialogues. Experimental results on the IEMOCAP, EmoryNLP, MELD, and DailyDialog datasets show that our approach significantly outperforms existing techniques and effectively improves the accuracy of dialogue emotion recognition. In this work, a polyether amine triazine derivatives (ET) was prepared via one-step process and its structure was confirmed using FT-IR, 1H NMR analyses. Then, the ET was applied to the tanning process and a novel chrome-free tanning approach has been optimized and evaluated. The result indicated that after tanning with 8% of ET at pH6 for 6h, the shrinkage temperature of leather was 83.9℃ and the thickness change rate was 97.5%. The ET tanned leather was endowed with a close mechanical and organoleptic performance as conventional chrome tanned leather. The XRD, DSC, TG, SEM and Zeta potential analyses demonstrated that ET could couple with the amino group of collagen side chain and breaking partial hydrogen bond between fibers, brought significantly improvement to the softness of leather, but has no impact on the high-level structure of collagen. Another promising features of this tanning approach is that the residual Cl- concentration in wastewater decreased 42.1% in tanning process compared to conventional chrome tanning method. The emissions of COD and TDS in tanning process reduced by 40.5% and 27.2%, respectively. It is conceivable that the ET tanning approach satisfactorily solves the longstanding problems of conventional chrome tanning and provides an improved approach to promote leather industry to develop sustainably. © 2021 XXXVI International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies Congress 2021, IULTCS 2021. Diffusion models have made significant contributions to computer vision, sparking a growing interest in the community recently regarding the application of them to graph generation. Existing discrete graph diffusion models exhibit heightened computational complexity and diminished training efficiency. A preferable and natural way is to directly diffuse the graph within the latent space. However, due to the non-Euclidean structure of graphs is not isotropic in the latent space, the existing latent diffusion models effectively make it difficult to capture and preserve the topological information of graphs. To address the above challenges, we propose a novel geometrically latent diffusion framework HypDiff. Specifically, we first establish a geometrically latent space with interpretability measures based on hyperbolic geometry, to define anisotropic latent diffusion processes for graphs. Then, we propose a geometrically latent diffusion process that is constrained by both radial and angular geometric properties, thereby ensuring the preservation of the original topological properties in the generative graphs. Extensive experimental results demonstrate the superior effectiveness of HypDiff for graph generation with various topologies.

In practical applications, high-quality lab.led data is critical for short text classification. But in many cases, it is expensive and time-consuming to obtain lab.led information. Semi-supervised short text classification is hence attracting more attention. However, due to the sparsity of short texts, the performance of existing short text classification models always needs to be improved. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a semi-supervised Short text classification method based on Dual-Channel data Augmentation called SDCA. More specifically, in order to solve the sparsity of short texts, this model first adopts the multi-stage word-level TCN (Temporal Convolutional Network)-based attention to enhanced semantic features and an one-dimensional convolution-based attention mechanism to augment the relevance of surrounding short texts. Secondly, the unlab.led data are augmented by word embedding weighted augmentation and word replacement augmentation, so that the model can make full use of the unlab.led short texts and further enhance the network training. Finally, extensive experiments conducted on four benchmark datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model on semi-supervised short text classification.

Learning Relation-Specific Representations for Few-shot knowledge Graph Completion

Recent years have witnessed increasing interest in few-shot knowledge graph completion (FKGC), which aims to infer unseen query triples for a few-shot relation using a few reference triples about the relation. The primary focus of existing FKGC methods lies in learning relation representations that can reflect the common information shared by the query and reference triples. To this end, these methods learn entity-pair representations from the direct neighbors of head and tail entities, and then aggregate the representations of reference entity pairs. However, the entity-pair representations learned only from direct neighbors may have low expressiveness when the involved entities have sparse direct neighbors or share a common local neighborhood with other entities. Moreover, merely modeling the semantic information of head and tail entities is insufficient to accurately infer their relational information especially when they have multiple relations. To address these issues, we propose a Relation-Specific Context Learning (RSCL) framework, which exploits graph contexts of triples to learn global and local relation-specific representations for few-shot relations. Specifically, we first extract graph contexts for each triple, which can provide long-term entity-relation dependencies. To encode the extracted graph contexts, we then present a hierarchical attention network to capture contextualized information of triples and highlight valuable local neighborhood information of entities. Finally, we design a hybrid attention aggregator to evaluate the likelihood of the query triples at the global and local levels.
