This paper proposes a genetic-based algorithm for surface reconstruction of three-dimension (3-D) objects from a group of contours representing its section plane lines. The algorithm can optimize the triangulation of the surface of 3-D objects with a multi-objective optimization function to meet the needs of a wide range of applications. Further, a new crossover operator for triangulation and a new 3-D quadrilateral mutation operator are also introduced.

An active reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-aided multi-user downlink communication system is investigated, where non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is employed to improve spectral efficiency, and the active RIS is powered by energy harvesting (EH). The problem of joint control of the RIS’s amplification matrix and phase shift matrix is formulated to maximize the communication success ratio with considering the quality of service (QoS) requirements of users, dynamic communication state, and dynamic availab.e energy of RIS. To tackle this non-convex problem, a cascaded deep learning algorithm namely long short-term memory-deep deterministic policy gradient (LSTM-DDPG) is designed. First, an advanced LSTM based algorithm is developed to predict users’ dynamic communication state. Then, based on the prediction results, a DDPG based algorithm is proposed to joint control the amplification matrix and phase shift matrix of the RIS. Finally, simulation results verify the accuracy of the prediction of the proposed LSTM algorithm, and demonstrate that the LSTM-DDPG algorithm has a significant advantage over other benchmark algorithms in terms of communication success ratio performance. Vision-based occupancy prediction, also known as 3D Semantic Scene Completion (SSC), presents a significant challenge in computer vision. Previous methods, confined to onboard processing, struggle with simultaneous geometric and semantic estimation, continuity across varying viewpoints, and single-view occlusion. Our paper introduces OccFiner, a novel offboard framework designed to enhance the accuracy of vision-based occupancy predictions. OccFiner operates in two hybrid phases: 1) a multi-to-multi local propagation network that implicitly aligns and processes multiple local frames for correcting onboard model errors and consistently enhancing occupancy accuracy across all distances. 2) the region-centric global propagation, focuses on refining lab.ls using explicit multi-view geometry and integrating sensor bias, especially to increase the accuracy of distant occupied voxels. Extensive experiments demonstrate that OccFiner improves both geometric and semantic accuracy across various types of coarse occupancy, setting a new state-of-the-art performance on the SemanticKITTI dataset. Notably, OccFiner elevates vision-based SSC models to a level even surpassing that of LiDAR-based onboard SSC models. Furthermore, OccFiner is the first to achieve automatic annotation of SSC in a purely vision-based approach. Quantitative experiments prove that OccFiner successfully facilitates occupancy data loop-closure in autonomous driving. Additionally, we quantitatively and qualitatively validate the superiority of the offboard approach on city-level SSC static maps. This paper proposes a vision-based online fruit and vegetable inspection system. This system consists of two parts: the online detection of fruits and vegetables and the online weighing measurement of fruits and vegetables. Online detection system can detect the species of fruits and vegetables, and through the database to get the unit price of fruits and vegetables. The image processing includes image pre-processing, filtering, background removal, noise filtering and hole filling for recognition, and analysis of blocks. The weight of the fruits and vegetables is obtained by gravity sensor. Prices of fruits and vegetables can be displayed in real time in order to achieve the goal of unattended retail. This study built an online fruits and vegetables detection system which may be accelerated in the future for commercial uses.

虚拟手术仿真系统为医学教学提供了一种方便、廉价、有效的方法。切割模拟是该系统重要组成部分，影响整个系统的实时性和真实性，因此对整个切割过程进行深入研究并提出了基于凸多边形的切割算法。首先通过遍历优化索引结构后的八叉树来寻找切割起点，由起点开始，以切割轨迹为参照，采用邻居搜索策略寻找所有被切割的三角影，然后通过引入辅助单元组成凸多边形，再对凸多边形进行三角剖分，以实现网格重构。实验证明新的剖分算法抑制了模型单元数量的急剧增长，提高了三角形重构的质量。

| The demand for sophisticated tools and approaches in heat management and control has triggered fast development of emerging fields including conductive thermal metamaterials, nanophononics, far-field and near-field radiative thermal management, etc. In this review, we cast a unified perspective on the control of heat transfer, based on which the related studies can be considered as complementary paradigms toward manipulating physical parameters and realizing unprecedented phenomena in heat transfer using artificial structures, such as thermal conductivity in heat conduction, thermal emissivity in radiation, and properties related to multi-physical effects. The review is divided into three parts that focus on the three main categories of heat flow control, respectively. Thermal conduction and radiation are emphasized in the first and second parts at both macro- and micro-scale. The third part discusses the efforts to actively introduce heat sources or tune the material parameters with multi-physical effects in both conduction and radiation, including works using thermal convection. We conclude the review with challenges in this research topic and new possibilities about topological thermal effects, heat waves, and quantum thermal effects. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. In terms of the difficulty of vehicle tracking in complex environment of the visual surveillance system, an object tracking algorithm is proposed for the applications in practical visual surveillance systems for intelligent traffic. A block-based Gaussian mixture background modeling method for object detection is presented to reduce the computational complexity of moving vehicle object abstraction. An adaptive tracking algorithm fused with color features and texture features is described to better adapt the traffic scene variation. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively deal with the complex urban traffic conditions and the tracking performance is better than the conventional particle filter method and single feature based non-adaptive object tracking method.
