The transport-of-intensity equation describes the internal relationship between the intensity and phase distribution while wave is propagating in the mobile space. So the phase distribution can be solved by the use of the equation. It is an important measurement of non-interferometry. A new phase retrieval based on transport-of-intensity equation is presented. This method has the advantage of measuring only the close-up space on the plane of the intensity of light to the reconstruction of phase space. The problem of phase retrieval is translated into minimum of energy functional with linear convolution and total variation regularization. The one and two dimension experiment results show the correctness and validity of the algorithm.

This paper proposed a threshold RSA signature with traceable signers. In such scheme, there is a trusted center (TC), which generates all system parameters, the secret keys and the corresponding public keys of the group and all members, and exists a designated clerk, which creates a warrant recording the identities of the signers and other import information. Any t members can collab.ratively generate the group signature with the help of the clerk, who verifies the validity of the partial signatures and combines them to the group signature. Any one can verify the correctness of the group signature by the public information and trace out to find the identities of the signers by the warrant.

The rapid development of the Web technology makes the Web mining become the focus of the current data mining, and the XML technology also becomes the standard of the data exchange on the Web. The paper introduces the Web mining technology, implements a frame of the Web mining based on the XML technology according to the advantage of XML in the data description, describes the implementation process of specific Web mining, and puts forward a promoting scheme on solving XML documents with VTD which solves the difficult mining problem on the Web caused by the most of the non-structure information.

It is difficult to meet both direction and curvature constraints for traditional Fast Marching (FM) method in path planning. Based on adjusting the cost function in Eiknoal equation-the control equation for FM, a new model for computing the integrated cost function was presented in this paper. A relationship formula about curvature radius was obtained and three kinds of adjusting strategies were given;two of them were used to modify the route to meet with the requires of turning constraint in this paper. Experiments showed that the improved model can be used to plan the path with FMM for agent such as unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or robot, which is limited to pass through the scene matching areas. And our preliminary experiments demonstrated that the strategies are feasible and efficient to obtain path with certain curvature radius. The model can also be used to represent the problem such as an aircraft flying in a flow field. © 2009 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

Typical synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images are two-dimensional, providing range and azimuth information, but furnish few details with respect to elevation. First of all, one approach to extend SAR to three-dimensional imaging is considered. The simplest implementation of this would replace the single antenna element by a linear array oriented vertically. Secondly, the outlining data and image processing for a three-dimensional application is introduced in detail in the paper. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is effective, while maintaining good image quality in terms of the reconstructed target response.

In this paper, a novel camera parameters calibration algorithm is proposed by exploiting defocus information. The proposed algorithm is based on two defocus images of the same scene obtained by changing camera's aperture numbers. Both images can be arbitrarily blurred. The blur difference between the two defocused images was estimated. Combining with imaging geometry of the thin lens, the corresponding camera parameters can be calibrated. This proposed algorithm remove the limit of calibration algorithm given by Soon-Yong Park that one of the images used in calibration must be focused. And it is valid without process of scale normalization. The calibrated parameters yield consistent results in depth estimation. Experimental results on synthetic and real images are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2008 IEEE.

in this paper, we propose a method for DS-CDMA delay estimation through the use of the downlink channel character. This method is based on Independent Component Analysis using the conjugate descent algorithm to estimate the multi-path mixture matrix and find the delay information which is embodied by the column vector of the mixture matrix using both the independence of information source and the known spread spectrum code. The simulation results show that it has better estimated effect and enhance the performance of traditional detector comparing with MMSE and Fast-ICA algorithm. © 2008 IEEE.

An efficient discrimination method of different brain states is important in order to implement a suitable system. This paper applies the One Versus the Rest CSP to the EEG data recorded during motor imagery tasks consisting of four different classes, namely the imagination of right hand, left hand, foot and tongue movements. The best correct classification results for the three subjects are73.3%, 81.7%, and 76.7%. © 2008 IEEE.

A PDE (partial differential equation) based method, 3D active contour model, is presented to model the surface of protein structure. Instead of generating a single molecular surface, we create a series of surfaces associated with the atomic energy inside the protein, which describe different resolutions of molecular surface. Our results indicate that the surfaces we generated are suitable for shape analysis and visualization. So, when the solvent-accessible surface is not enough to represent the features of protein structure, the evolution surface sequence may be an alternative choice. Besides, if the initial surface is smooth enough, the generated surfaces will preserve this property partly, because the evolution of the surfaces is controlled by the PDE.
