The existence of q-ary linear complementary pairs (LCPs) of codes with q > 2 has been completely characterized so far. This paper gives a characterization for the existence of binary LCPs of codes. As a result, we solve an open problem proposed by Carlet et al. (IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory 65(3): 1694-1704, 2019) and a conjecture proposed by Choi et al. (Cryptogr. Commun. 15(2): 469-486, 2023). This paper describes the transient electro-thermal properties of the bipolar transistor by a two-dimensional transient electro-thermal simulation, in which model the coupled heat conduction equation and drift-diffusion equations are solved. The backward difference scheme with the second-order accuracy was used to discretize the time derivative. The increment of bipolar transistor temperature will affect the drift and diffusion of carriers and thus its electrical characteristics. Through the transient study of electro-thermal characteristics of the bipolar transistor, the influence of the self-heating effect on bipolar transistor characteristic has considered in amplification mode. The developed model and results obtained in this work can be used to optimize the thermal design of bipolar transistor.

In this paper, a compact electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structure for suppressing simultaneous switching noise (SSN) in high-speed circuits is proposed. At the bandwidth level of 0.35GHz to 20GHz, an ultra-wideband SSN suppression feature with a suppression depth of -40dB is achieved. The basic unit structure of the presented EBG is formed by etching an annular groove in the square patch and connecting the separated patches inside and outside the groove with a bridge adjacent to the end. An improved L-type bridge is used between the EBG units to further improve the EBG performance. Compared with the traditional L-type bridge, the suppression depth of the proposed electromagnetic bandgap structure is improved from -30dB to - 40dB. In addition, the time domain eye simulation results show that the structure has good signal integrity.

Based on Lyapunov theorem and sliding mode control scheme,the chaos control of fractional memristor chaotic time⁃delay system was *** order to stabilize the system,a fractional sliding mode control method for fractional time⁃delay system was *** addition,Lyapunov stability theorem was used to analyze the control scheme theoretically,which guaranteed the stability of commensurate and non⁃commensurate order systems with or without uncertainties and ***,to illustrate the feasibility of controller,the conditions for designing the controller parameters were ***,the simulation results presented the effectiveness of the designed strategy.

This paper introduced a dual-layer broadband high-gain circularly polarized (CP) antenna. The proposed broadband CP antenna consists of the radiating patch and couping structure, which is made up of opening slot patch and L-shaped stub. An axial-ratio bandwidth of 26 % (4.36-5.66 GHz) is shown by this proposed dual-layer CP patch antenna with a simulated -10-dB reflection coefficient bandwidth of 37 % (4.23-6.15 GHz). The broadband characteristics offered by this CP antenna are promising for a wide range of future applications.

Fine-grained visual classification is a challenging task because of intra-class variation and inter-class similarity. Most fine-grained models predominantly focus on discriminative region localization which can effectively solve the intra-class variation, but ignore global information and the problem of inter-class similarity which easily leads to overfitting on specific samples. To address these issues, we develop an end-to-end model based on selecting discriminative features for fine-grained visual classification without the help of part or bounding box annotations. In order to accurately select discriminative features, we integrate effective information from different receptive fields to enhance the quality of features, then the features of discriminative regions detected by anchors and the whole image’s feature are jointly processed for classification. Besides, we propose a new loss function to optimize the model to find discriminative regions and prevent overfitting in the particular sample, which can simultaneously solve the problems of intra-class variation and inter-class similarity. Comprehensive experiments show that the proposed approach is superior to the state-of-the-art methods on CUB-200-2011, Stanford Cars and FGVC-Aircraft datasets. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2020.

This paper studies the {H}_{ {\infty }} sliding mode control (SMC) problem for a class of discrete-time conic-type nonlinear systems with time-delays and uncertainties. The nonlinear terms satisfy the conic-type constraint condition that lies in a know hyper-sphere with an uncertain center. By choosing a proper Lyapunov candidate, sufficient conditions are derived to ensure the asymptotic stability of the sliding mode dynamics while achieving a prescribed {H}_{ {\infty }} disturbance attenuation level and finally converted into a minimization problem. The controller is constructed to guarantee the discrete-time reach condition and maintain the states on the prespecified sliding surface. A simulation result and a practical example related to the Chua's circuit are given at last to show the validity of our SMC strategy. © 2013 IEEE.

Accelerating evolutionary neural architecture search via multi-fidelity evaluation

Evolutionary neural architecture search (ENAS) has recently received increasing attention by effectively finding high-quality neural architectures, which however consumes high computational cost by training the architecture encoded by each individual for complete epochs in individual evaluation. Numerous ENAS approaches have been developed to reduce the evaluation cost, but it is often difficult for most of these approaches to achieve high evaluation accuracy. To address this issue, in this paper we propose an accelerated ENAS via multifidelity evaluation termed MFENAS, where the individual evaluation cost is significantly reduced by training the architecture encoded by each individual for only a small number of epochs. The balance between evaluation cost and evaluation accuracy is well maintained by suggesting a multi-fidelity evaluation, which identifies the potentially good individuals that cannot survive from previous generations by integrating multiple evaluations under different numbers of training epochs. For high diversity of neural architectures, a population initialization strategy is devised to produce different neural architectures varying from ResNetlike architectures to Inception-like ones. Experimental results on CIFAR-10 show that the architecture obtained by the proposed MFENAS achieves a 2.39% test error rate at the cost of only 0.6 GPU days on one NVIDIA 2080TI GPU, demonstrating the superiority of the proposed MFENAS over state-of-the-art NAS approaches in terms of both computational cost and architecture quality. The architecture obtained by the proposed MFENAS is then transferred to CIFAR-100 and ImageNet, which also exhibits competitive performance to the architectures obtained by existing NAS approaches. In this paper, a circularly polarized annular slit antenna with a center frequency of 2.15 GHz realized through a metasurface was designed. The metasurface is made up of 5×5 periodic units. The impedance bandwidth of annular slit antenna is 2.08-2.5 GHz and after loading the metasurface the frequency range in which the axis ratio of the antenna is less than 3dB is 2.12-2.18 GHz and the gain reaches 3.5 dBi. The linear polarization antenna can be directly converted into circular polarization antenna by loading the metasurface. Reserch show that antenna loaded with metasurface can be widely used in electronic communication field.

An Improved Differential Evolution Algorithm Integrating the Plant Evolutionary Strategy

Differential evolution algorithm (DE) and their variants often encounter a decrease in population diversity and convergence rate along with the evolution, resulting in local optima and premature convergence. To address this issue, this paper proposes an improved differential evolution integrating the plant evolutionary strategy, named DEPES, leveraging the exploitation capability of DE and the exploration capability of the plant population distribution evolutionary strategy. First, a tri-subpopulation optimization framework with a mutation strategy is introduced to cope with diversity maintenance, convergence enhancement, and local optima a Cauchy mutation operator based on plant population distribution evolutionary model is employed to enhance the exploration capability of the mutation strategy. Second, a parameter control strategy is performed on the superior and inferior solutions to balance the exploitation and exploration of the population. Third, a covariance matrix-based crossover strategy is designed to minimize interference from local population information, consequently generating high-quality solutions. The superior efficiency of DEPES is fully verified by comparing it with advanced DE-based variants and other algorithms on the IEEE CEC2020 test suite and engineering design problems. © 2024, The Authors.
