Multi-view clustering (MVC) represents a significant challenge in the realms of machine learning and data mining. Recently, the advent of contrastive learning (CL) has catalyzed the development of numerous innovative methods within this field. The efficacy of these methods typically hinges on the availab.lity of consistent and comprehensive data. Nevertheless, real-world scenarios of data collection and transmission frequently encounter issues like partial unaligned-views (PU), which result in incomplete datasets and pose formidable challenges for effective MVC. To address this prevalent issue, our paper introduces an innovative framework, termed bi-contrastive alignment for incomplete multi-view clustering (BCA). BCA specifically targets the challenge of incomplete data stemming from PU. It encompasses a unique module, semantic guided bi-contrastive alignment (SGBA), designed to counteract the PU by harnessing semantic similarities. Moreover, the framework augments data alignment by integrating a contrastive learning-based corrective component into the loss function. The comparative experiments demonstrate that the ARI metric of our method surpasses the second-best contrasting method on all four datasets.

Understanding the Robustness of 3D Object Detection with Bird’s-Eye-View Representations in Autonomous Driving

3D object detection is an essential perception task in autonomous driving to understand the environments. The Bird’s-Eye-View (BEV) representations have significantly improved the performance of 3D detectors with camera inputs on popular benchmarks. However, there still lacks a systematic understanding of the robustness of these vision-dependent BEV models, which is closely related to the safety of autonomous driving systems. In this paper, we evaluate the natural and adversarial robustness of various representative models under extensive settings, to fully understand their behaviors influenced by explicit BEV features compared with those without BEV. In addition to the classic settings, we propose a 3D consistent patch attack by applying adversarial patches in the 3D space to guarantee the spatiotemporal consistency, which is more realistic for the scenario of autonomous driving. With substantial experiments, we draw several findings: 1) BEV models tend to be more stable than previous methods under different natural conditions and common corruptions due to the expressive spatial representations;2) BEV models are more vulnerable to adversarial noises, mainly caused by the redundant BEV features;3) Camera-LiDAR fusion models have superior performance under different settings with multi-modal inputs, but BEV fusion model is still vulnerable to adversarial noises of both point cloud and image. The Facial Attribute Recognition (FAR) is a challenging task especially when there exists limited lab.led data, which may lead the mainstream fully-supervised FAR methods to be no longer in force. To tackle this problem, we propose a novel unsupervised learning framework named Shape-Appearance Based Attributes Representation Learning (SABAL) by leveraging large-scale unlab.led face data. Considering face attributes are mainly determined by 3D shape and facial appearance, we decouple a face image into 3D shape and appearance features by two branch networks, i.e., 3D Shape Branch and Facial Appearance Branch. 3D Shape Branch and Facial Appearance Branch are jointly trained with orthogonal loss and 2D face reconstruction loss to obtain robust facial representations containing 3D-geometry and texture information, which are beneficial for attributes recognition. Finally, the unsupervised learnt features are transferred to the FAR task by fine-tuning on limited lab.led data from CelebA. Extensive experiments show that we achieve comparable results to state-of-the-art methods.

Blind Image Quality Assessment (BIQA) mirrors subjective made by human observers. Generally, humans favor comparing relative qualities over predicting absolute qualities directly. However, current BIQA models focus on mining the "local" context, i.e., the relationship between information among individual images and the absolute quality of the image, ignoring the "global" context of the relative quality contrast among different images in the training data. In this paper, we present the Perceptual Context and Sensitivity BIQA (CSIQA), a novel contrastive learning paradigm that seamlessly integrates "global" and "local" perspectives into the BIQA. Specifically, the CSIQA comprises two primary components: 1) A Quality Context Contrastive Learning module, which is equipped with different contrastive learning strategies to effectively capture potential quality correlations in the global context of the dataset. 2) A Quality-aware Mask Attention Module, which employs the random mask to ensure the consistency with visual local sensitivity, thereby improving the model's perception of local distortions. Extensive experiments on eight standard BIQA datasets demonstrate the superior performance to the state-of-the-art BIQA methods.

Existing single-modal and multi-modal salient object detection (SOD) methods focus on designing specific architectures tailored for their respective tasks. However, developing completely different models for different tasks leads to lab.r and time consumption, as well as high computational and practical deployment costs. In this paper, we attempt to address both single-modal and multi-modal SOD in a unified framework called UniSOD, which fully exploits the overlapping prior knowledge between different tasks. Nevertheless, assigning appropriate strategies to modality variable inputs is challenging. To this end, UniSOD learns modality-aware prompts with task-specific hints through adaptive prompt learning, which are plugged into the proposed pre-trained baseline SOD model to handle corresponding tasks, while only requiring few learnable parameters compared to training the entire model. Each modality-aware prompt is generated from a switchable prompt generation block, which adaptively performs structural switching based on single-modal and multi-modal inputs without human intervention. Through end-to-end joint training, UniSOD achieves overall performance improvement on 14 benchmark datasets for RGB, RGB-D, and RGB-T SOD, which demonstrates that our method effectively and efficiently unifies single-modal and multi-modal SOD tasks. Heterogeneous information networks (HINs) have become a popular tool to capture complicated user-item relationships in recommendation problems in recent years. As a typical instantiation of HINs, meta-path is introduced in search of higher-level representations of user-item interactions. Though remarkable success has been achieved along this direction, existing meta-path-based recommendation methods face at least one of the following issues: 1) existing methods merely adopt simple meta-path fusion rules, which might be insufficient to exclude inconsistent information of different meta-paths that may hurt model performance;2) the representative power is limited by shallow/stage-wise formulations. To solve these issues, we propose an end-to-end and unified embedding-based recommendation framework with graph-based learning. To address 1), we propose a flexible fusion module to integrate meta-path-based similarities into relative similarities between users and items. To address 2), we take advantage of the powerful representative ability of deep neural networks to learn more complicated and flexible latent embeddings. Finally, empirical studies on real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method. © 2021 ACM.

The data-driven deep learning methods have brought significant progress and potential to intrusion detection. However, there are two thorny problems caused by the characteristics of intrusion data: "multi-type features" and "data imbalance". The former means that forcefully and improperly transforming intrusion features from distinct metric spaces can result in semantic loss and noise. The latter indicates that the intrusion data is imbalanced in quantity and quality due to its complex spatial distribution. We propose a Hybrid Framework for Multi-type and Imbalance Data (HF-Mid) to address the above two problems. Firstly, we divide the intrusion features into equivalent and non-equivalent groups, and then embed them sequentially using Supervised Paragraph Vector-Distributed Memory (SPV-DM), which excels at modeling co-occurrence relationships, and Deep Neural Network (DNN), which is suitable for modeling non-linear relationships, thereby solving the "multitype features" problem. Secondly, we adopt a low-noise collective matrix factorization (CMF) model to fuse the two obtained features for dimensionality reduction. Finally, we employ a multiple classifier to detect intrusion. During the classifier training stage, we design a genetic algorithm-based proportional sampling method to select high-quality samples in each training batch. thus addressing the "data imbalance" problem. The experimental results demonstrate the proposed framework exhibits an overall improvement of 5.9% and 1.5% in terms of accuracy and false positive rate on average, respectively.

An X-band CMOS low noise amplifier (LNA) with flat gain and noise Figure (NF) is proposed in this paper. To achieve sufficient gain, the LNA adopts two-stage topology. A feed-back transformer is used at the input terminal to implement noise and wideband input matching. Transformer-based inter-stage and output matching networks are adopted to achieve well isolation and compact size. By introducing inductive peaking technique, the proposed LNA obtain lower NF and extend the bandwidth. Post simulation results show that the LNA achieves a gain of 14.6± 2dB and NF of 2. 5-3.3dB across a bandwidth from 8.5 GHz to 12.5 GHz. With the supply voltage of 1 V at the first stage and 1.8 V at the second stage, the dc power dissipation is 20.8 mW. The simulated input 1dB compression point ($\mathrm{P}_{\mathrm{l}\mathrm{d}\mathrm{B}}$) is -27.3dBm. The core chip area is only 0.41× 0.87mm 2 .

A Dual Prompt Learning Framework for Few-Shot Dialogue State Tracking

Dialogue state tracking (DST) module is an important component for task-oriented dialog systems to understand users' goals and needs. Collecting dialogue state lab.ls including slots and values can be costly, especially with the wide application of dialogue systems in more and more new-rising domains. In this paper, we focus on how to utilize the language understanding and generation ability of pre-trained language models for DST. We design a dual prompt learning framework for few-shot DST. Specifically, we consider the learning of slot generation and value generation as dual tasks, and two prompts are designed based on such a dual structure to incorporate task-related knowledge of these two tasks respectively. In this way, the DST task can be formulated as a language modeling task efficiently under few-shot settings. Experimental results on two task-oriented dialogue datasets show that the proposed method not only outperforms existing state-of-the-art few-shot methods, but also can generate unseen slots. It indicates that DST-related knowledge can be probed from PLM and utilized to address low-resource DST efficiently with the help of prompt learning. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. In the traditional centralized Android malware classification framework, privacy concerns arise as it requires collecting users’ app samples containing sensitive information directly. To address this problem, new classification frameworks based on Federated Learning (FL) have emerged for privacy preservation. However, research shows that these frameworks still face risks of indirect information leakage due to adversary inference. Unfortunately, existing research lacks an effective assessment of the extent and location of this leakage risk. To bridge the gap, we propose the FedDLM, which provides a fine-grained assessment of the risk of sensitive information leakage in an FL-based Android malware classifier. FedDLM estimates attackers’ theoretical maximum inference ability from the information theory perspective to gauge the degree of leakage risk in the classifier effectively. It precisely identifies critical positions in the shared gradient where the leakage risk exists by utilizing characteristics of class activation in classifiers. Through extensive experiments on the Androzoo dataset, FedDLM demonstrates its superior effectiveness and precision compared to baseline methods in evaluating the risk of sensitive information leakage. The evaluation results provide valuable insights into information leakage problems in classifiers and targeted privacy protection methods.
