The large-scale access of renewable energy sources such as wind power will affect the operation and dispatch of the power system, and will affect the safe and stable of the power grid. The ESS has the ability to respond quickly, which can reduce the impact of wind power on the grid. Based on a hybrid energy storage with a certain capacity, a corresponding rolling optimization control strategy is proposed. Using batteries and super capacitor as energy storage media, an optimal control model targeting the state of charge of the hybrid energy storage system is established, and the solution is solved by a particle swarm optimization algorithm. The simulation example shows that a HESS with a certain capacity on the generation side can achieve a smooth grid connection. The control strategy proposed in this paper extends the service life of the battery. © 2021 IEEE

In order to improve the equipment utilization of distributed photovoltaic power generation system, the harmonic and reactive currents generated by grid-connected photovoltaic system can be accurately detected and compensated. A phase-locked loop based on second-order generalized integrator (SOGI-PLL) is introduced into the traditional FBD current detection method to separate the positive and negative sequence components of unbalanced voltage and detect the phase and frequency of reference voltage more accurately. The simulation results show that the algorithm can reduce the computational complexity and increase the detection accuracy and steady-state performance. © 2019 IEEE.

Under the condition of multi-microgrids system, due to the location dispersion of microgrids, and the different characteristics of distributed generations and loads, the size of sampling in a reliability assessment algorithm is always huge, which influences computational efficiency. In this paper, based on the operation characteristics of a multi-microgrid system, a reliability evaluation algorithm based on the parallel computing algorithm of the multi-microgrid system is proposed. The algorithm can sample the operating state of each microgrid at the same time and consider the interaction between the various microgrids in a multi-microgrids system. The algorithm can significantly improve the calculation speed of the reliability assessment algorithm of the multi-microgrid system, which is of great significance to the reliability evaluation of the multi-microgrid system in the region. © 2017 IEEE.

In distributed systems, the server placement problem in which a new server has to compete with existing servers for user requests is important in planning of constructing new business service sites. In addition to minimizing cost, competition-aware server placement also needs to maximize the benefit of building a new server. This paper proposes a Tabu Search approach to optimize the problem in general graphs. Results from the simulation experiments show that it do has a better performance than both of the GreedyAdd and GreedyRemove algorithms. © 2011 IEEE.

Metal nanogratings as one of the promising architectures for effective light trapping in organic photovoltaics (OPVs) have been actively studied over the past decade. Here we designed a novel metal nanowall grating with ultra-small period and ultra-high aspect-ratio as the back electrode of the OPV device. Such grating results in the strong hot spot effect in-between the neighboring nanowalls and the localized surface plasmon effect at the corners of nanowalls. These combined effects make the integrated absorption efficiency of light over the wavelength range from 400 to 650 nm in the active layer for the proposed structure, with respect to the equivalent planar structure, increases by 102% at TM polarization and by 36.5% at the TM/TE hybrid polarization, respectively. Moreover, it is noted that the hot spot effect in the proposed structure is more effective for ultra-thin active layers, which is very favorable for the exciton dissociation and charge collection. Therefore such a nanowall grating is expected to improve the overall performance of OPV devices. © 2014 Optical Society of America.

With the scarcity of fossil energy, the development of renewable energy is becoming more and more rapid. However, when new energy is integrated into the power grid, the inertia of the system is reduced and the stability of the system is lowered. This also poses a new challenge to frequency control, and energy storage as a technology that can quickly respond to system frequency changes is now widely concerned. This paper summarizes the domestic and international research status of energy storage and AGG capacity allocation and coordinated control through the influence of renewable energy on AGC. Finally, the development prospects of energy storage and participation in new energy integration into the power grid are prospected. © 2019 IEEE.

At present, the fault diagnosis of grinding system is evaluated by human being, which causes low efficiency, low accuracy, high cost and casualties easily. The traditional method has the unsatisfied performance on the classification ability of sample dataset with high dimension and temporal correlation. Aiming at the above problems, a RNN-LSTM based deep learning method is proposed in the paper, which realizes the intelligent fault diagnosis of grinding system. The dataset is batched for inputs of LSTM networks, and the temporal correlation of dataset is extracted, which is used to analyze the fault classification of feature vectors input of before and after time. We conduct the comparison of RNN-LSTM based networks and autoencoder based networks via simulation. It is concluded that the RNN-LSTM based method is obviously superior to the method with autoencoder for the dataset with high dimension and high temporal correlation, and the result of the error rate is less than 3%. © 2017 IEEE.

The purpose of this work is to reduce the mutual interference between converter stations when the AC power or DC voltage fluctuates in VSC-HVDC system. The global small signal mathematical model of VSC-HVDC system is established firstly. Then, according to the principle of mixed sensitivity H∞ robust control, the appropriate weight function is selected and the decoupling controller between stations is deduced. In addition, the high-order controller deduced is reduced to an appropriate order which is beneficial to engineering application by using the balanced truncation method of coprime factors. Finally, the electromagnetic transient simulation is carried out to verify that the H∞ decoupling controller between stations can be effectively weakened the interaction between two converter stations and improves the dynamic performance and robust stability of the system. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd.

The SF6 abatement strategies had received special attention due to the fact that SF6has very high global warming potentials and long atmospheric lifetime. The use of degradation method can effectively eliminate the greenhouse effect caused by SF6 exhaust gas. In this paper, Zr(PO4)4, AlPO4, NiO and FeO4 were used as catalysts to degrade SF6 gas (the volume ratio of SF6 was 15% and the background gas was air) at 800 ?. The concentration of SF6 gas was detected by gas chromatograph to obtain degradation rate, the partial degradation products of SF6 gas were quantitatively analyzed by gaschromatograph-mass spectrometer, and the main products detected were SOF, SOF and SO gas. Comparing the product formation characteristics of four groups of test products when phosphate and metal oxide were used as catalysts, the gas production of SO was the most at the same temperature. When Zr(PO4)4 and AlPO4 were used as catalyst, the SOF gas production reached dynamic equilibrium at 31300ppm and 2385ppm respectively after heating for 4h, and the generated SOF gas presented a linear growth. When NiO and Fe3O4 were used as catalyst, SOF and SOF gases were both linearly increased. When Zr(PO4)4 was used as catalyst, compared with other catalysts, the amount of SOF produced was the largest. NiO had a good catalytic effect, and the degradation rate of SF6 gas reached 27.07% within 12h. The main decomposition products were SOF, SOF and SO gas, which could be filtered out by lye, which was of great significance for reducing greenhouse gas caused by SF6 exhaust gas emissions. © 2020 IEEE.
