Study on initial GDP-E slot allocation based on OPTIFLOW model

The equity and efficiency of the initial GDP-E slot allocation was investigated to make more scientifically use of airport slot resources. By introducing equity constraint parameter based on OPTIFLOW assignment model, an initial GDP-E slot allocation optimization model was established, which could reach balance between equality and efficiency. Meanwhile, an equity evaluation index of the slot allocation was presented. Because the result of the slot allocation was a special sequence, the model was solved by genetic algorithm using the partially patched crossover (PMX) operator. The simulation results showed the effectiveness of the slot allocation model, which not only improved efficiency by 22.5% than the ration by schedule (RBS) algorithm, but also balanced the delay cost between airlines, and by setting the equity constraint parameter, the balance between equality and efficiency could be adjusted efficiently.

A Many-Objective Evolutionary Algorithm Assisted by Ideal Hyperplane

In many-objective optimization problems (MaOPs), it is a difficult task for evolutionary algorithms to balance convergence and diversity while rapidly converging to the Pareto front. As the number of objectives increases, the difficulty of evolutionary algorithms increases with individual selection pressure. To address above problems, we propose a many-objective evolution algorithm assisted by an ideal hyperplane (MaOEA-IH). Firstly, the ideal hyperplane as a reference surface to guide the individual to search the Pareto front, which is established from the extremum of each dimension of the objective space. Secondly, a parallel p -norm mating selection strategy is proposed to improve convergence. In addition, two factors are considered in this strategy: 1) different p -norm are used to measure different spatial scales;2) individual selection uncertainty is defined by incorporating a probabilistic perturbation mechanism. Thirdly, the improved shift-based density estimation strategy is used as the evaluation criterion for environmental selection to improve the convergence and diversity of solution sets and enhance selection pressure. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, MAOEA-IH is compared with seven excellent algorithms in three benchmark sets (DTLZ, WFG and MaF). The results show that the proposed MAOEA-IH is highly competitive in solving MaOPs. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This paper proposes an advanced control strategy consisting of current stress optimization based on triple-phase-shifting (TPS) modulation for front-end DAB converter and 33% PWM method for back-end three-phase full bridge inverter. Compared with the traditional phase shift control, the control strategy proposed for the front-end DAB converter achieves linear control and significantly reduces current stress. In addition, it reduces the DC-Link capacitance, which improves the safety of the equipment. The 33% modulation method adopted by the full bridge inverter at the back-end reduces the switching loss of semiconductor devices. The principle, derivation and realization of the proposed control strategy are described in detail. Simulation results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

JSRNN: Joint Sampling and Reconstruction Neural Networks for High Quality Image Compressed Sensing

Most Deep Learning (DL) based Compressed Sensing (DCS) algorithms adopt a single neural network for signal reconstruction, and fail to jointly consider the influences of the sampling operation for reconstruction. In this paper, we propose unified framework, which jointly considers the sampling and reconstruction process for image compressive sensing based on welldesigned cascade neural networks. Two sub-networks, which are the sampling sub-network and the reconstruction sub-network, are included in the proposed framework. In the sampling sub-network, an adaptive full connected layer instead of the traditional random matrix is used to mimic the sampling operator. In the reconstruction sub-network, a cascade network combining stacked denoising autoencoder (SDA) and convolutional neural network (CNN) is designed to reconstruct signals. The SDA is used to solve the signal mapping problem and the signals are initially reconstructed. Furthermore, CNN is used to fully recover the structure and texture features of the image to obtain better reconstruction performance. Extensive experiments show that this framework outperforms many other state-ofthe-art methods, especially at low sampling rates. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The transverse stability is one of the most important characteristics of the ship in survivability. This factor can be influenced by wind, moving cargoes and passengers. In order to avoid maritime accidents due to parametric rolling, several ways are considered in the practical situation such as active and passive anti rolling method. The canting keel is a practical tool for the enhancement of ship stability. In the early ship design stage, this problem is considered to be multimodal objective problem. In the present research, a hybrid optimization technique, genetic algorithm - sequential quadratic programing (GA-SQP) is developed to determine the appropriate parametric values of design of canting keel. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2014.

This paper presents a simulator for swarm operations designed to verify algorithms for a swarm of autonomous underwater robots (AUVs), specifically for constructing an underwater communication network with AUVs carrying acoustic communication devices. This simulator consists of three nodes: a virtual vehicle node (VV), a virtual environment node (VE), and a visual showing node (VS). The modular design treats AUV models as a combination of virtual equipment. An expert acoustic communication simulator is embedded in this simulator, to simulate scenarios with dynamic acoustic communication nodes. The several simulations we have performed demonstrate that this simulator is easy to use and can be further improved.

The assembly of multi miniature parts needs a variety of grippers, a single gripper has difficulties in completing the task of picking up and operating many different miniature parts. In a formerly developed system, a combination type gripper module was integrated. It was comparatively complicated and difficult to be adapted to a new set of parts to be assembled. As a more preferable solution for the situation, an exchangeable gripper module is being developed and will be integrated in an assembly system under development. The module consists of assembly tool magazine and mechanical arm. According to the size and shape of the miniature parts to be assembled, the tool heads were designed for the purpose of the pickup and place operation of different miniature parts. The gripper assembles miniature parts in the way that mechanical arm picks up the tool head from the assembly tool magazine, then after the specific part is assembled, puts the tool head back and ready for picking up another tool head, thus the exchange of tool heads can be accomplished. As the process of repetitive exchange may cause position error, the position of the reference central point of the tool head need to be measured by the machine vision module integrated in assembly system to guarantee the accuracy of assembly. The measurement and precision position control method of tool head in the process of miniature parts assembly is illustrated in the paper.

It is an inevitable problem of frequency control with the increasing capacity of PV connected into large-scale grid. In order to resolve the problem of the contradiction between the increasing demand and dressing supply capacity of frequency control, the requirement of relevant technical for PV to take part in primary frequency control is put forward. The battery-assisted frequency control system is introduced, and the primary frequency control effect can be improved by using its fast response characteristic. In this paper, the ratio of battery output to all power output is used to analyze the primary frequency control gain of the battery participating in the frequency control of the PV plant. The simulation results show that the larger proportion of energy storage system output can bring better frequency control capacity, reduce frequency fluctuations and improve system stability.

An improved differential evolution algorithm was proposed for solving the online path planning problem of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) low-altitude penetration in partially known hostile environments. The algorithm adopts von Neumann topology and improves its structure to maintain the diversity of the population, prevent the population from falling into local optima in the early evolution and speed up the convergence rate in the later evolution as well. The mutation operator of differential evolution is improved to speed up the convergence rate of the algorithm, so that the optimal solution of the multi-objective optimization problem can be found quickly;the coding method combined the absolute Cartesian coordinates with the relative polar coordinates is used to improve the searching efficiency. The simulation experiment of online path planning for UAV low-altitude penetration shows that the proposed algorithm has a better performance than the unimproved differential evolution algorithm.
