It's always difficult to satisfy both strict requirements of dynamic performance and settling performance of high-precision and high-acceleration point-to-point motions on electronic packaging equipment, i.e., Die bonders, Wire bonders, Flip-chip bonders, Wafer bumping machines, and so on. Focusing on this difficulty, Fuzzy logic is promoted in this paper to fine tune feed forward coefficient parameters of motion systems on packaging equipment to satisfy multiple targets of dynamic and settling performance requirements. This intelligent fine tuning approach, with achievable multiple motion targets, provides a therapy to automate and optimize motion system performance on packaging equipment, help on development and mass production of semiconductor packaging equipment, and improve machine intelligence.

A new turning-mechanism for Amoeba-like Robot was proposed in this paper, which based on the amoeba-like robot kinematics characteristics of tail contracting and skin flipping. First, one kind of variable-speed node composed of the spring and damp was designed. Because of the existing of the variable-speed nodes, the velocities of the two strip-skins depended not only on the velocities of threads that gone through the variable-speed nodes, but also on the spring and damp it contained. So, although the velocities of threads that induced the velocities of the strip-skins were the same, the velocities of the strip-skins still can be different since the variable-speed nodes existed. That difference in velocities made the turning movement possible. Second, the dynamic model for the turning movement of the Amoeba-like Robot was established and analyzed. The analysis results included the angular velocity and angle curve related to time, which were computed with the dynamic model when shortening speed of thread's length was constant. The results achieved in this paper provided an important basic for the research on the behaviors and control strategy of amoeba-like robot. The new turning-mechanism can be popularized to the tracked mobile robot, for it provided a new and availab.e turning method.

Conventional cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) schemes in cognitive radio networks (CRNs) require that the secondary users (SUs) report their sensing data sequentially to the fusion center, which yields long reporting delay especially in the case of large number of cooperative SUs. By exploiting the computation over multiple-access channel (CoMAC) method, this paper proposes a novel CoMAC-based CSS scheme that allows the cooperative SUs to encode their local statistics in transmit power and to transmit simultaneously the modulated symbols sequence carrying transmit power information to the fusion center. The fusion center then makes the final decision on the presence of primary users by recovering the overall test statistic of energy detection from the energy of the received signal. Performance metrics of the CoMAC-based CSS scheme, i.e., detection probability and false alarm probability, are further derived based on the central limit theorem. Finally, based on the derived detection and false alarm probabilities, both energy detection threshold and spectrum sensing time are optimized to improve the average throughput of the CRN.

With the application to assess the network and system security in some key fields, penetration testing assessment methods have been evolving into a popular research topic. However, the automation degree of penetration testing is at a lower level, and many parameters of security assessment method is uncertain. For these two problems above, we use rule trees method to achieve the automation process of penetration testing, and each chain of rule trees stores a complete the attack process. By using the result of penetration testing, we propose the security assessment process to meet the NIST guidelines, and it can make some uncertain parameters of security assessment clear. With the constant expansion of rule trees, the proposed method can improve the accuracy and effectiveness of security assessment.

The photovoltaic (PV) generation systems as environmentally friendly renewable energy sources are increasing. However, the power generation of solar has high uncertainty and intermittency and brings significant challenges to power system operators. The accurate forecasting of photovoltaic (PV) power production is good for both the grid and individual smart homes. In this paper, we propose a novel weather-based photovoltaic generation forecasting approach using extreme learning machine (ELM) for 1-day ahead hourly forecasting of PV power output. In the proposed approach, the weather conditions are divided into three types which are sunny day, cloudy day, and rainy day and training the PV power output forecasting models separately for those three weather types. In this paper, we take the PV output history data from the PV experiment system located in Shanghai for case study. The forecasting results show that the proposed model outperform the BP neural networks model in all three weather types.

In recent years, energy efficiency has become a major bottleneck for sustainable development of the industrial communications network, how to achieve energy-efficient communication has become a hot topic for researchers. This paper focuses on industrial energy-efficient multi-hop wireless networks proposing a transmitting algorithm based on traffic redirecting (TRTA). The design of traditional mobile multi-hop wireless network only consider either network efficiency or minimum energy networks to maximize network efficiency. In this paper, to make up for shortcomings of previous studies, proposed an algorithm to maximize network efficiency for the novel pub-sub transmission mode of industrial network. The TRTA uses the technology of network flow sensing, according to the information of traffic network to get traffic load of the network. And then using the flow redirecting method to redirect the traffic on low-load path to other links with higher utilization rate but not heavy, in order to improve the whole energy efficiency of the network. Simulation in a multi-hop wireless networks with pub-sub transmission mode, the results show that the proposed algorithm has lower energy consumption and higher network efficiency, network performance has been significantly improved.

To implement demand response in residential sector and facilitate the integration of renewable resources and plug-in electric vehicles in future smart grid, this paper proposes a framework of home energy management system (HEMS) and a optimization algorithm for it based on improved artificial bee colony. The algorithm schedules the operations of schedulab.e home appliances according to electricity price, forecasted outdoor temperature and renewable power output, and user preferences to minimize user's electricity cost. The effectiveness of the algorithm is verified by simulations, and the electricity cost can be reduced by 47.76%.

This paper proposes a novel Meta-heuristic based hybrid optimization method for Microgrid energy management system. First, microgrid energy management problem is modeled as a mixed integer nonlinear programming with the consideration of quadratic fuel cost of distributed generators and their startup/shut-down states. In order to obtain a favorable solution, a hybrid solution procedure combined quadratic programming and genetic algorithm is proposed to solve the problem. Then, the proposed method is verified via numerical simulation. Through the comparison of optimization result with IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimizer, simulation shows that the proposed algorithm has the advantage of finding better scheduling solution which leads to less operating cost.

Sensor networks have been developed with an exponential speed in the last few decades. Sensor nodes are deployed to collect information for environmental monitoring, traffic control, civil information construction and other context awareness systems. The existing problems for sensor networks are sensor management and data sharing between sensors. Different ontology development methodologies and frameworks have been proposed by many research groups in various areas. They all agree that ontology is an adequate methodology to model sensors and their features, and allows data to be processed by machines. This paper proposes an ontology based scheme for describing sensors and their features. The suggested ontology is implemented using Protégé 4.3 and eventually evaluated utilizing the SPARQL language (Simple Protocol and RDF Query Language). The effectiveness of the presented ontology is proved by applying it to a building management system.

Ultrasonic is one important factor of ultrasonic wire bonding process, which is widely used in semiconductor packaging industry. control effect of ultrasonic power determines the quality and speed of wire bonding. Based on analysis of ultrasonic frequency characteristics and current response, this paper proposes a closed-loop control method of automatic frequency tracking and output current control, to improve the effectiveness of ultrasonic power, shorten the response time, and enhance the stability of ultrasonic generation. Automatic frequency tracking is based on phase lock method. Phase difference of voltage and current signals works as the feedback of the close-loop control of frequency to realize automatic frequency tracking and ensure that the ultrasonic transducer always works at resonance point. And output current control is working at constant current mode so that the vibration amplitude of ultrasonic can be better controlled by adjusting the ultrasonic current. The experimental results show that with the frequency automatic tracking method, the ultrasonic transducer system can achieve wider frequency bands, with faster phase locking and higher tracking precision. With close loop control, real-time tracking can be realized and less rise time and less overshoot of ultrasonic current can be achieved.
