In view of spatiotemporal big data to compile comprehensive urban atlas that highlights urban personality and regional characteristics, this paper starts with the characteristics of big spatiotemporal data, analyzes the mapping logic architecture and mapping expression form of urban comprehensive atlas, and then takes Atlas of Shanghai as an example to carry out the practice and analysis of map compilation with big data, in order to provide some reference for urban atlas design. © 2022 IEEE.

With the national proposal and promotion of ecological civilization construction, the demand for natural resources monitoring application services with unified management of natural resources has become increasingly strong. In this paper, we reviewed the current situation of domestic natural resource monitoring and linkage updating technology and proposed a set of natural resource monitoring and linkage updating technology frameworks based on the demand of natural resource management. The feasibility of the framework is verified by being applied to Shanghai, which solves the application demand of high frequency and multi-thematic natural resource elements monitoring in the process of urban management in Shanghai. We integrated the natural and management attributes of natural resources based on the database linkage update, coordinated the monitoring, management, database construction, and sharing applications of natural resources, providing an important reference for natural resource monitoring and data application sharing. © 2022 IEEE.

Wetland Vegetation Species Classification Using Optical and SAR Remote Sensing Images: A Case Study of Chongming Island, Shanghai,China

Mudflat vegetation plays a crucial role in the ecological function of wetland environment, and obtaining its fine spatial distribution is of great significance for wetland protection and management. Remote sensing techniques can realize the rapid extraction of wetland vegetation over a large area. However, the imaging of optical sensors is easily restricted by weather conditions, and the backscattered information reflected by Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) images is easily disturbed by many factors. Although both data sources have been applied in wetland vegetation classification, there is a lack of comparative study on how the selection of data sources affects the classification effect. This study takes the vegetation of the tidal flat wetland in Chongming Island, Shanghai, China, in 2019,as the research subject. A total of 22 optical feature parameters and 11 SAR feature parameters were extracted from the optical data source(Sentinel-2) and SAR data source(Sentinel-1), respectively. The performance of optical and SAR data and their feature parameters in wetland vegetation classification was quantitatively compared and analyzed by different feature combinations. Furthermore, by simulating the scenario of missing optical images, the impact of optical image missing on vegetation classification accuracy and the compensatory effect of integrating SAR data were revealed. Results show that: 1) under the same classification algorithm, the Overall Accuracy(OA) of the combined use of optical and SAR images was the highest, reaching 95.50%. The OA of using only optical images was slightly lower, while using only SAR images yields the lowest accuracy, but still achieved 86.48%. 2) Compared to using the spectral reflectance of optical data and the backscattering coefficient of SAR data directly, the constructed optical and SAR feature parameters contributed to improving classification accuracy. Land subsidence not only endangers the safety of houses, roads, infrastructure and underground pipelines but also causes cascading disasters. The total monitoring of urban surface stability is extremely important for monitoring the health of bridges, subways, buildings, etc. Compared with traditional spot measurement, Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) has the advantages of all-weather operation, wide coverage, low cost, high temporal and spatial resolution and high precision. In this paper, the tomographic SAR (TomoSAR) is adopted to solve the layover problem, especially for the skyscrapers in the densely distributed area. In the densely distributed Kowloon MTR station case, the elevation, linear deformation rate and thermal dilation of the skyscrapers are successfully estimated by 4D TomoSAR. The results provide support for health monitoring of buildings and the surrounding areas, facilitating early detection of potential risks.

Aiming at the problems that the classification of remote sensing image datasets is not balanced so that the accuracy of semantic segmentation is not high and the segmentation effect of scarce samples is poor. Transformer encoder with multihead self-attention mechanism is integrated into Deeplab.3+ network, and the attention mechanism is used to enhance the ability to capture global information, so as to improve the precision requirement of scarce categories in remote sensing semantic segmentation task. The algorithm firstly uniformly crops high-resolution remote sensing images into low-resolution image information for batch training and reducing information loss. Secondly, MobileNetV2, a lightweight backbone feature extraction network, is used to replace Xception network of Deeplab.3+. Finally, Transformer encoder based on multihead self-attention mechanism is connected in series with atrous spatial pyramid pooling (ASPP) of Deeplab.3+ encoder region to increase its segmentation precision by enhancing feature learning of scarce category samples in deep feature information. The experimental result shows that the proposed model called TransDeeplab.3+ gets 67.67% mIoU and 81.86% mPA on GID remote sensing dataset. Compared with Deeplab.3+ model, mIoU and mPA are improved by 9.46% and 8.52% respectively. TransDeeplab.3+ can effectively increase the precision because of the ability of increasing attention to the scarce species samples and solve the problem of the decrease of segmentation accuracy due to unbalanced data categories. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Multi-drone logistics transportation and distribution have gradually become the focus of future logistics. So as to solve the multi-UAV logistics planning problem, the goal of this paper is to minimize the cost of take-off and variable-load flight, and builds a multi-UAV logistics planning model with constraints such as flight distance and logistics load. The Improved Genetic Simulated Annealing Algorithm(IGSAA) adds the SA mechanism on the basis of the classical GA, selectively adds non-optimal solutions and non-constrained solutions, and adopts the Improved Large Neighborhood Search Algorithm (ILNSA) to generate special algorithms with three strategies. By continuously updating the population iteration and selectively adding the probability according to the temperature change, the optimal UAV logistics planning is finally optimized. Finally, the simulation results close to reality show that compared with the initial random solution and the classical genetic algorithm, the improved genetic simulated annealing algorithm proposed in this paper reduces the flight cost of UAV by 16.78% and 8.49%, respectively, and can obtain lower transportation costs. The Ross,Filchner-Ronne,and Amery ice shelves are the three largest ice shelves in Antarctica,playing a crucial role in supporting the Antarctic ice ***,current studies on the stability of the three largest ice shelves primarily focus on singular or limited factors,lacking a comprehensive assessment of multiple *** systematically and in-depth study the stability and trend of the three largest ice shelves,we comprehensively collected and analyzed key parameters,including elevation changes,basal melting,surface meltwater,major rifts propagation rate,suture zones,ice front area change rate,grounding lines,ice velocity,and mass ***,we selected the collapsed Larsen B Ice Shelf(LBIS),the rapidly changing and structurally weakened Pine Island Ice Shelf(PIIS),and the accelerating Totten Ice Shelf(TIS)as reference ice *** comparing and analyzing the key parameters between these reference ice shelves and the three largest ice shelves,we find the status and trends in the stability of the *** findings reveal that most key parameters of the three largest ice shelves present relatively minor variations compared to those of the reference ice ***,50%of the parameters are smaller than those of the accelerating TIS,88%are smaller than those of the rapidly changing PIIS,and all parameters are smaller than those of the collapsed ***,after analyzing parameters that are not smaller than those of the TIS,it is observed that they remain in a stable ***,the three largest ice shelves are currently undergoing natural changes that do not threaten their stability in the short ***,the evolution of the ice shelves under global climate change remains uncertain,making long-term observation and monitoring essential to assess their impact on sea level rise.

Individual Tree Detection-and-Counting(ITDC)is among the important tasks in town areas,and numerous methods are proposed in this *** their many advantages,still,the proposed methods are inadequate to provide robust results because they mostly rely on the direct field *** paper presents a novel approach involving high-resolution imagery and the Canopy-Height-Model(CHM)data to solve the ITDC *** new approach is studied in six urban scenes:farmland,woodland,park,industrial land,road and residential ***,it identifies tree canopy regions using a deep learning network from high-resolution *** then deploys the CHM-data to detect treetops of the canopy regions using a local maximum algorithm and individual tree canopies using the region ***,it calculates and describes the number of individual trees and tree *** proposed approach is experimented with the data from Shanghai,*** results show that the individual tree detection method had an average overall accuracy of 0.953,with a precision of 0.987 for woodland ***,the R2 value for canopy segmentation in different urban scenes is greater than 0.780 and 0.779 for canopy area and diameter size,*** results confirm that the proposed method is robust enough for urban tree planning and management.

Projected heat wave increasing trends over China based on combined dynamical and multiple statistical downscaling methods

Extensive investigations on the projection of heat waves(HWs)were conducted on the basis of coarse-resolution global climate models(GCMs).However,these investigations still fail to characterise the future changes in HWs regionally over *** dynamical downscaling with a horizontal resolution of 25 km×25 km was employed on the basis of GCM-HadCM3 to provide reliable projections on HWs over the Chinese mainland,and six statistical downscaling methods were used for bias correction under RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 *** multi-method ensemble(MME)of the top three dynamical downscaling methods with good performance was used to project future *** showed that PRECIS primarily replicated the detailed spatiotemporal pattern of ***,PRECIS overestimated the HWs in the Northwest and Southeast and expanded the areas of HWs in the Northeast and *** statistical downscaling methods(quantile mapping,CDF-t and quantile delta mapping)demonstrated good performance in improving PRECIS simulation for reproducing *** contrast,parametric-based trend-preserving approaches such as scaled distribution mapping and ISI-MIP are outperformed by the three aforementioned methods in downscaling HWs,particularly in the high latitudes of *** on MME projections,at the end of the 21st century,the national average of the number of HW days each year,the length of the longest HW event in the year and the extreme maximum temperature in HW will increase by 3 times,1 time and 1.3℃,respectively,under the RCP4.5 scenario,whilst that under the RCP8.5 scenario will increase by 8 times,3 times and 3.7℃,respectively,relative to *** Northwest is regionally projected to suffer long and hot HWs,whilst the South and Southeast will experience frequent consecutive ***,HWs projected by the combined dynamical and statistical downscaling method are highly reliable in projecting HWs over China.
