Cooperative behavior has been of great concern in evolutionary game researches because of its important role in social life and natural evolution. Since memory can greatly influence the emergence of cooperative behavior, memory-based research on evolutionary games has proliferated in recent years. In the present paper, inspired by the well-known 'Stanford marshmallow experiment' (SME), we proposed a multi-memory mechanism in Snowdrift game (SDG) on spatial lattice networks whose core lies in what follows: Players are divided into two groups according to individual self-control;different memory lengths are set by group and by time in a single realization. The simulation results show that our proposed mechanism promotes cooperation level of the considered evolutionary game. More specifically, as memory length increases to an intermediate length, the cooperation level increases as well. For mechanism with short memory length, the effect of population structure is obvious and small values of adjusting factor can intensively facilitate high-frequency cooperative behavior. These findings may be helpful to understand the connection between population heterogeneity and the emergence of high cooperation. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

The implementation of non-communication protection of double circuit line systems based on two independent relays has disadvantages like information shareless,complex connection and lack of economic. This paper researched the implementation of non-communication protection of double circuit line systems based on one relay - the integrated protection platform. Hardware structure of the integrated protection platform is described, and software flow of non-communication protection of double circuit line systems which implemented on the integrated protection platform is also described. Large number of RTDS experiments proved that, according to various asymmetrical fault and symmetrical fault, this protection scheme has reliable and sensitive action performance. It is proved that the implement non-communication protection of double circuit line systems based on the intergrated protection platform is feasible. © 2011 IEEE.

Fluorescence has been proved to be a versatile and useful tool for animal in vivo imaging. It has been used widely in biomedical research and drug discoveries. With the recent development of the technology and instruments, the 2-D imaging system has been developed to a 3-D imaging in vivo. 3-D imaging will provide researchers detailed spatial information of the targets and its relationship with animal organs. This paper introduces a new design of an in vivo 3-D multispectral fluorescent imaging system, including the design of hardware platform and the imaging algorithm based on binocular stereo vision theory. The working principle of the system, structure of the hardware and the system diagram are introduced. The algorithm of binocular stereo vision is utilized to complete camera calibration, stereo rectification, and 3D coordinates computing based on OpenCV. © 2011 IEEE.

New Tuning Methods of Both PID and ADRC for MIMO Coupled Nonlinear Uncertain systems ⁎

This paper proposes new tuning methods for both the famous proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control and the active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) of multi-input multi-output (MIMO) coupled nonlinear uncertain systems. Firstly, a quantitative lower bound to the bandwidth of the parallel extended state observers (ESOs) of ADRC is given, which is not necessarily of high gain. Then, inspired by an inherent but less noticed relationship between PID and ADRC, a new and concrete PID tuning rule is introduced, which can achieve both the strong robust decoupling control and good tracking performance of the MIMO closed-loop systems. Finally, the theoretical results, which reveal that why and how both PID control and ADRC can effectively deal with decoupling problem for MIMO coupled nonlinear uncertain systems, are verified by simulations.

In this paper, a discontinuous projection-based output feedback adaptive robust learning control (OARLC) scheme is constructed for a class of nonlinear systems in a semi-strict feedback form by incorporating an observer and a dynamic normalization signal. Since only output signal is availab.e for measurement, an observer is firstly designed to provide exponentially convergent estimates of the unmeasurable states. Using certain known basis functions to capture the characteristics of unknown general periodic disturbances, the discontinuous projection type adaptation law can then be used to tune the amplitudes of those basis functions on-line to recover the unknown general periodic disturbances asymptotically. The estimation errors due to the unknown initial states, uncompensated disturbances, and the uncertain nonlinearities are also effectively dealt with via certain robust feedback at each step of the proposed OARLC backstepping design. The resulting controller achieves a guaranteed transient and a prescribed final tracking accuracy for output tracking performance. In addition, when the general periodic disturbances fall within the approximation ranges of the periodic basis functions, asymptotic output tracking performance is achieved as well. © 2011 IFAC.

Distribution line non-communication protection (DNCP) can quickly and selectively isolate unsymmetrical fault, but the performance of this distribution line automation system is not satisfying in the case of symmetrical fault. This paper proposes a scheme which can quickly isolate symmetrical fault and block the operation of BPS: DNCP which is closed to the source can operate instantaneously, that can avoid overheating damage of electrical equipment;when the magnitude of voltage falls, BPS will detect the magnitude of negtive voltage two cycles ago to make a decision, that can avoid the process of connecting to permanent fault and tripping again for the ring main unit. EMTP simulation results show the effectiveness of the scheme. © 2011 IEEE.

Online partial discharge monitoring for power equipments is useful to improve the capacity of the power supply. Main technology for PD testing is introduced in this paper. Advantages and disadvantages of pulse current, UHF, ultrasonic and TEV method are present. The status quo of online PD monitoring is analyzed, and the detection effect of online PD monitoring is not good. Opinions to improve the effect are given. They include built-in sensors, increasing sensitivity and sample rate. Analysis of the state quo indicates that the relevant technical standards and specifications must be revised to improve the normalization and standardization.

Vision based ping-pong ball tracking with physical model

This paper proposes a novel vision based ping-pong (table tennis) ball tracking system. And it can generate the ping-pong ball trace in real time with the aiding of a transcendent trace model. Our approach only need three high speed digital cameras, which could cover whole the ball flight trace and decrease the cost of the tracking system. Our tracking system sets up a theoretical ping-pong ball trace model, and then a Kalman filter method is used to fuse the final trace with the data from three cameras based on the trace model. The experiment results show our system could track the ping-pong ball reasonably and generate the smooth trace of the ping-pong ball in real time. 1548-7741/Copyright © 2008 Binary Information Press October 2008.

An overview of the active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) is presented in this talk. Ever since ADRC was proposed by Jingqing Han in 1990s[1]1, it has become quite an attractive methodology to applied researchers, even though rigorous theoretical justification was lagging behind for quite some time. The fact that ADRC possesses certain uniqueness in concepts, simplicity in engineering implementation, and superior actual performance allowed it to be readily translated into a valuable asset in engineering practice: namely, the ability in dealing with a vast range of uncertainties, improved transient response, easy implementation and energy savings, to name but a few. The range of applications seems broad, covering almost all domains of control engineering, such as motion control, speed control of induction motor and permanent-magnet synchronous motor, control for noncircular turning process, low-velocity compensation of brushless DC servo, robotic system, underactuated mechanical systems, micro-electro-mechanical systems gyroscope, control for superconducting RF cavities, flight control, attitude tracking of rigid spacecraft, web tension regulation, DC-DC power converter, chemical processes, ALSTOM gasifier benchmark problem, the boilerturbine-generator control systems, stabilization of axial flow compressors, the fractional-order system, etc. [10]-[31]. In the U.S.A., the ADRC solution was recently deployed at a Parker Hannifin Extrusion Plant in North America, resulting in over 50% energy saving per line across ten production lines, together with significant improvements in product quality [32]. And Texas Instrument has adopted the ADRC technology in developing and distributing a new line of motion control chips worldwide [33].The National Superconducting Cyclotron lab.in the U.S. has implemented ADRC in several high energy particle accelerators after significant improvements have been obtained in amplitude and phase regulation of electromagnetic fields. In this paper the Morphological Quotient Image (MQI) based on close and open operation are compared, and the more effective operation is chosen. Furthermore, the influence of template size to recognition rate is studied. For different size of face images, the optimal template is obtained by experiment using Yale Face Database B. The optimal template is tested using CMU-PIE database and the experimental result is encouraging. © 2007 IEEE.
