Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a non-invasive tool for real-time neural monitoring, widely used in depression detection via deep learning. However, existing models primarily focus on binary classification (depression/normal), lacking granularity for severity assessment. To address this, we proposed the DepL-GCN, i.e., Depression Level classification based on GCN model. This model tackles two key challenges: (1) subjectivity in depression-level labeling due to patient self-report biases, and (2) class imbalance across severity categories. Inspired by the model learning patterns, we introduced two novel modules: the sample confidence module and the minority sample penalty module. The former leverages the L2-norm of prediction errors to progressively filter EEG samples with weak label alignment during training, thereby reducing the impact of subjectivity;the latter automatically upweights misclassified minority-class samples to address imbalance issues. After testing on two public EEG datasets, DepL-GCN achieved accuracies of 81.13% and 81.36% for multi-class severity recognition, outperforming baseline models. Ablation studies confirmed both modules’ contributions. We further discussed the strengths and limitations of regression-based models for depression-level recognition. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. In recent years, the photovoltaic power generation industry has been vigorously promoted and developed, while the solar cell as its core component may have micro-crack defects, which directly affect the power generation efficiency and stability of the photovoltaic system. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt a low-cost, efficient and flexible method to detect defects in solar cells. At present, most of the existing micro-cracks detection is carried out in the laboratory, and there is no EL micro-cracks detection in the actual photovoltaic power station. The main purpose of this paper is to design a set of EL defect detection system that can be used for actual photovoltaic power station modules, which is different from the traditional laboratory-level or module-level defect detection, and to carry the designed detection algorithm to the integrated device to operate. Experiments have shown that the system can perform real-time detection of photovoltaic module defects based on the string level, which improves the detection efficiency while saving time and cost, and shows good performance. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing. Time delay has great impacts on the stability and the reliability and real-time of the communication of multi-agent systems. In multi-agent communication network, due to network congestion, transmission distance and other factors, there are various communication delays. In this paper, we study the deviation of convergence value after adding time-varying delays under gradient descent method, and the upper bound related to delay time is estimated. This upper bound can be used to analyze the magnitude of deviation under different time delays and minimize the loss caused by delays, and provide more explicit information for system optimization and resource allocation. Numerical simulation is conducted to verify the proposed approach. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, quadratic optimizations have become increasingly popular in engineering. However, conventional methods that investigate this problem from the perspective of a canonical form with linear constraints are not effective in dealing with the significant challenges posed by quadratic constraints in practice. This paper proposes a solution framework for the quadratic optimization with quadratic constraints (QOQC) based on innovative artificial societies, computational experiments, and parallel execution (ACP) framework. Then, a gradient projection differential neural solution (GPDNS) is proposed to address this. To illustrate the effectiveness of the GPDNS model in solving the QOQC system, numerical simulations are provided. Overall, this paper presents the potential of innovative approaches like the ACP framework to enhance our capabilities in addressing challenging optimization systems. © 2023 IEEE.

Task-Centered Heterogeneous Multi-Robot Cooperative Task Allocation and Planning: An Welding Case Study

In this article, the complicated task assignment, scheduling and planning of heterogeneous multi-robot welding process are studied. Firstly, for large-scaled tasks that involve heterogeneous multi-robot task allocation under different internal and external constraints, the traditional multi-robot task allocation (MRTA) framework is extended to a novel and unified heterogeneous multi-robot task allocation (H MRTA)***,robotsofdifferentconfigurations (including manipulators, positioners, gantries) are treated as unified robots. Secondly, taking into account constraints such as reachability, collision avoidance, kinematic and dynamic process constraints, the optimization model based on H-MRTA framework is established. The optimization objectives are formulated by combining the total execution time and load balance between robots. Then, a hierarchical optimization algorithm(TCO-HMRTA) is proposed to solve the H-MRTA problem with decoupled two-layer optimization sub-problems : task space segmentation subproblem and multi-robot path planning subproblem. For the task space segmentation subproblem, a task-centered optimization model is established, which aims to balance the workload among robots, considering the competition and cooperation between robots. For the multi-robot path planning problem, multiple process constraints are considered and the total working time is minimized as the objective function. Finally, The effectiveness of the optimization algorithm is verified by a case study on the welding task of a large plate element in a ship hull. Compared to two other state-of-the-art algorithms, TCO-HMRTA can save more than 50% of the waiting time and 10%-20% of the execution time, which demonstrates the effectiveness and feasibility of the hierarchical optimization-based task allocation algorithm for complicated heterogeneous multi-robots. © 2024, The Authors. This paper presents an Integrated Physics-DataBased (IPDB) modeling and control scheme of the combined longitudinal-lateral vehicle dynamics. A nonlinear bicycle vehicle model is used to derive the linear parameter-varying (LPV) system representation, where four vehicle motion variables are considered as scheduling parameters. Taking advantage of kernels from LPV representation, the combined longitudinal-lateral dynamics are further expressed by the data snapshots of states, inputs, and scheduling parameters, which formulate the IPDB model. After that, the IPDB model is used to design a state-feedback gain-scheduling tracking controller to follow a reference trajectory. For validation purposes, the proposed modeling and control method is implemented on a QCar experimental platform. First, the IPDB model of coupled longitudinal-lateral dynamics is derived from experimental data and is further validated with excellent model accuracy under various driving conditions. Furthermore, an IPDB model-based gain-scheduling controller is synthesized and compared with the baseline Stanley controller in the experiment to track a given trajectory. The experimental results demonstrate that the IPDB model-based controller renders better tracking control performance.

La0.8Sr0.2CrO3-ITO thermocouples were successfully fabricated by screen printing. The La0.8Sr0.2CrO3 powder used for screen printing was obtained by the sol-gel method. The highest thermal voltage output was maintained at 270 mV at 1270°C. The microstructure of La0.8Sr0.2CrO3 and ITO electrode films were analysed by SEM. Thermoelectric response test was implemented to measure the performance of La0.8Sr0.2CrO3-ITO thermocouple by three times of thermal cycles. The results indicated that La0.8Sr0.2CrO3-ITO thermocouple showed good stability at high temperature. Copyright © 2022 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

X-ray security check is a prevalent placement measure that plays a vital role in ensuring public safety. However, detecting prohibited items poses a complex challenge due to their variable sizes within X-ray images. In this study, we tackle this issue by curating a novel dataset through the integration of open-source data and introducing a Multiscale Feature Fusion Module. This module facilitates robust detection by amalgamating features across different scales. Extensive experiments verified that the superiority of our method compared to existing methods on the prohibited items test set constructed in this paper demonstrates extremely well the practical effectiveness of our proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.

In dynamic optimization problems where optimal solutions change over time, traditional ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithms face limitations. This study explores the adaptation of multi-colony ACO algorithms, known for their enhanced search capabilities in stationary problems, to tackle optimization problems in dynamic environments. Various strategies for exchanging information between colonies, which is a critical factor influencing algorithm performance, are investigated. Using the dynamic traveling salesman problem as a foundation, we generate test cases to reflect real-world complexities. Our results on a set of problem instances reveal that the choice of communication strategy between colonies significantly impacts the adaptability and efficiency of multi-colony ACO algorithms in tracking moving optimum. © 2024 IEEE.

Real-time data acquisition and monitoring of seismic bracings can help to maintain their effectiveness during service life and to improve the seismic resistance and disaster mitigation effects when strong earthquakes occur. In order to monitor real-time states of the seismic bracing, an intelligent monitoring system based on wireless transmission technology was designed. The system used CC2530 Zigbee module to establish a ZigBee wireless LAN, and combined MEMS vibration sensors and strain gauges. Meanwhile, the system used ESP32 to upload the measurement data to OneNET cloud platform through MQTT wireless communication protocol. The function of data visualization was designed so as to realize real-time monitoring of seismic bracing states. The experimental results showed that the proposed wireless monitoring system can reliably execute real-time data collection, storage, display, and hazard warning to guarantee the effectiveness of seismic bracings.
