Traditional stealth materials do not fulfill the requirements of high absorption for radar waves and low emissivity for infrared ***,they can be detected by various technologies,considerably threatening weapon ***,a stealth material compatible with radar and infrared was designed based on the photonic bandgap characteristics of photonic *** radar stealth lay-er(bottom layer)is a composite of carbonyl iron/silicon dioxide/epoxy resin,and the infrared stealth layer(top layer)is a 1D photonic crystal with alternately and periodically stacked germanium and silicon *** composition optimization and structural adjust-ment,the effective absorption bandwidth of the compatible stealth material with a reflection loss of less than-10 dB has reached 4.95 *** average infrared emissivity of the proposed design is 0.1063,indicating good stealth *** theoretical analysis proves that photonic crystals with this structural design can produce infrared waves within the photonic bandgap,achieving high radar wave transmittance and low infrared *** stealth is achieved without affecting the absorption performance of the radar stealth layer,and the conflict between radar and infrared stealth performance is *** work aims to promote the application of photonic crystals in compatible stealth materials and the development of stealth technology and to provide a design and theoretical found-ation for related experiments and research.

Unraveling the role of data sharing in open finance diffusion: an evolutionary game approach on complex networks

Data sharing has become a transformative force in the global financial ecosystem, driving the evolution from open banking to open finance. In this study, we develop a diffusion model using evolutionary game theory on complex networks to explore how data sharing influences lenders’ micro-level decision-making and promotes the macro-level diffusion of open finance. Combined with empirical observations from China’s open banking initiatives, our findings reveal that the diffusion rate of open finance remains suboptimal, with lenders adopting open finance not yet realizing significant profit advantages over traditional practices. Furthermore, sensitivity tests performed through univariate analysis show that increasing either the proportion of data sharing active borrowers or their degree of data sharing plays a critical role in accelerating open finance diffusion, following distinct nonlinear exponential and linear growth trends, respectively. Notably, data sharing active borrowers dominating the market benefit from the inclusivity of open finance, where lenders’ profits are enhanced with a higher degree of data sharing. Thus, a mutually beneficial outcome arises when both the proportion of data sharing active borrowers and their degree of data sharing are maximized. We further perform several analyses to highlight the robustness of our main results, including analyzing the effects of lender strategy updates and government subsidies and extending a hybrid model that combines small-world and scale-free networks. This article suggests that policymakers should mandate secure data sharing ecosystems through privacy-centric regulation while implementing incentives like early adopter subsidies to accelerate open finance diffusion. Financial institutions must concurrently develop robust data guardianship systems using advanced encryption and federated learning technologies, transforming shared data into personalized credit innovations. Traceability is the fundamental premise of all metrological activities. The establishment of a traceability chain characterized by a shortened structure, while simultaneously enabling on-site traceability, represents a key trend in the advancement of metrology. This study explores the periodic accuracy and overall uniformity of self-traceable gratings, employing multilayer film gratings with a nominal period of 25.00 nm as the medium. We present a comparative analysis of measurement capabilities in a self-traceable grating calibration system characterized by a ‘top-down’ calibration approach and a Si lattice constant calibration system characterized by a ‘bottom-up’ calibration approach. The results indicate that the values obtained for the multilayer film grating periods, calibrated using the self-traceable grating system, are 24.40 nm with a standard deviation of 0.11 nm. By comparing with the values derived from the Si lattice constant, which yield 24.34 nm with a standard deviation of 0.14 nm, the validity and feasibility of the self-traceable calibration system are confirmed. This system extends and complements existing metrological frameworks, offering a precise pathway for traceability in precision engineering and nanotechnology research.

Struvite recovery from livestock wastewater may pose risks of spreading antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) into the environment. There are two forms of ARGs existed in the wastewater, i.e. intracellular ARGs (iARGs) and extracellular ARGs (eARGs), which are typically carried by plasmid and bacteria, respectively. To date, few works has been reported on the simultaneous migration behavior of iARGs and eARGs in struvite recovery. In this work, the plasmid DNA and Escherichia coli carrying tetracycline resistance genes were selected as the typical eARGs and iARGs, correspondingly, and the synergistic adsorptions of eARGs and iARGs in struvite crystallization were examined by using simulated wastewater. The adsorption capacities of eARGs and iARGs by pure struvite crystals were 9.20×106 - 8.38×1012 copies/g and 3.45×105 - 1.60×106 CFU/g, respectively. The co-existence of eARGs and iARGs would amplify eARGs adsorption, while excessive Mg2+ ion in the liquid would impair eARGs adsorption, compared to negligible impacts on iARGs adsorption. XPS analysis revealed that the predominant forces of adsorption were weaker forces, such as electrostatic or ionic hydration forces, which was ascribed to magnesium octahedral in the faces of struvite crystallite. Increasing pH values would lead to an ascent of iARGs adsorption coupled with a descent of eARGs adsorption, which was contributed to the shift of Mg density in faces of struvite crystallite and the protonation/deprotonation of eARGs molecules. These outcomes provide new understanding on eARGs and iARGs transport in phosphate recovery from wastewater. © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The elasticity under varying temperatures and pressures is particularly significant for understanding mechanical properties and structural phase transitions. Consequently, there is an increasing demand for tools capable of determining elasticity across wide temperature and pressure ranges, either numerically or analytically. We propose HTEM, a comprehensive toolkit that automates the workflow for input generation, elastic calculations, modeling, and visualization within an integrated framework. HTEM performs simulations with four computational modes, allowing users to balance accuracy and efficiency. It incorporates a semi-analytic model for robust, high-precision elastic modeling with finite data combinations, even using sparse elasticity at high temperatures. To validate the workflows of calculation and modeling, we perform HTEM to study the elasticity of Si across wide temperature and pressure ranges. Results show the high precision and high efficiency of HTEM. And modeling mitigates noise from constant pressure ensemble simulations. Furthermore, HTEM provides detailed visualizations of elasticity and its anisotropy as functions of temperature and pressure, providing comprehensive insights into how the intrinsic properties of materials evolve under varying conditions. © 2025, The Authors. To address the issue of trajectory fragments and ID switches caused by occlusion in dense crowds, we propose a space-time trajectory encoding method and a point-line-group division method to construct Trajectory-BERT in this paper. Leveraging the spatiotemporal context-dependent features of trajectories, we introduce pre-training and fine-tuning Trajectory-BERT tasks to repair occluded trajectories. Experimental results show that data augmented with Trajectory-BERT outperforms raw annotated data on the MOTA metric and reduces ID switches in raw labeled data, demonstrating the feasibility of our method. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

Traditional social force models are capable of simulating various types of crowds, but due to their reliance on a single formula and simplified parameter control, they often lack realism when applied to crowd scenes. The integration of deep learning with social force models has already achieved success in pedestrian simulation tasks in specific scenarios, yet research in more generalized scenes is still lacking. Therefore, we have used deep learning in conjunction with social force models to construct crowd simulations in various scenarios. This model is based on the dynamics of crowd trajectories and refines key parameters of the social force model using deep learning methods. Experimental results prove that this model can effectively adapt to diverse environments different from the scenes on which the training data is based. © 2024 IEEE.

Unequal partnerships: Asymmetrical effects of urban economic linkages on land-use efficiency in 284 cities, China

As urbanization progresses, efficient land resource management is essential for sustainable urban development. While existing studies emphasize the positive impact of urban economic linkages (UEL) on urban land-use efficiency (ULUE), they often assume equal partnerships, overlooking the asymmetric nature of UEL. This study uses a modified gravity model and super-efficiency SBM model to explore the impact of unequal economic linkages within the UEL network on ULUE across 284 Chinese cities from 2002 to 2021. The findings reveal that ULUE increased until 2017 but declined thereafter. Cities in the southeastern coastal regions show higher ULUE, while those in the northeast exhibit lower efficiency. The Tobit model analysis indicates that cities with greater dominance in the UEL network tend to have higher ULUE, while those more dependent on external economies experience lower ULUE. Robustness checks confirm the stability of these results across different model specifications. The study underscores the importance of fostering more balanced economic linkages and advocates for policy reforms aimed at enhancing urban economic integration to improve ULUE across cities. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd
