In this paper, an adaptive event-triggered secondary regulation strategy is investigated for microgrids with loss of effectiveness actuator faults. In order to deal with unknown loss of effectiveness actuator faults, a distributed secondary regulation strategy is proposed, which achieves voltage and frequency regulations, as well as power sharing. Meanwhile, to save system resources and relieve the communication burden, an adaptive event-triggered mechanism is designed. Finally, some simulation results are given to validate the proposed strategy, which indicates that the proposed strategy reduces the controller updates and increases the reliability of system. © 2023 IEEE.

A self-adaptive multi-objective harmony search based fuzzy clustering technique for image segmentation

Image segmentation can be considered as a problem of clustering since the pixels in the digital image are clustered in term of some evaluation criteria. Generally, clustering technique in image segmentation employs a single objective which can not reach ideal result for various kinds of images. Moreover, fuzzy c-means (FCM) algorithms which determine the fuzzy partition matrix of the data set by solving the clustering problem with conditional constraints and obtain the clustering output, have been verified effective and efficient for image segmentation. In fact, these FCM algorithms still have some shortcomings including: being sensitive to outliers and noise, key parameters need to be adjusted with experience. In view of this, a self-adaptive multi-objective harmony search based fuzzy clustering (SAMOHSFC) technique for image segmentation is proposed in this paper. SAMOHSFC technique encodes several cluster centers in one harmony vector and optimizes multiple objectives. In addition, we consider the spatial information of the image as an attribute of the input data set besides the attribute of gray information of input image in the SAMOHSFC. Superiority of the proposed algorithm over three classic segmentation algorithms has been verified for a synthetic and two real images from quantitative and visual aspect. In the experiment, the effect of different kinds of spatial information on the segmentation performance of the SAMOHSFC is analyzed. © 2018, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Heterojunctioned CuO/Cu_(2)O catalyst for highly efficient ozone removal

In recent years, near surface ozone pollution, has attracted more and more attention,which necessitates the development of high efficient and low cost catalysts. In this work,Cu O/Cu_(2)O heterojunctioned catalyst is fabricated by heating Cu_(2)O at high temperature, and is adopted as ozone decomposition catalyst. The results show that after Cu_(2)O is heated at180℃conversion of ozone increases from 75.2% to 89.3% at mass space velocity 1,920,000cm^(3)/(g·hr) in dry air with 1000 ppm V ozone, which indicates that this heterojunction catalyst is one of the most efficient catalysts reported at present. Catalysts are characterized by electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy,which confirmed that the heterojunction promotes the electron transfer in the catalytic process and creates more defects and oxygen vacancies in the Cu O/Cu_(2)O interfaces. This procedure of manufacturing heterostructures would also be applicable to other metal oxide catalysts, and it is expected to be more widely applied to the synthesis of high-efficiency heterostructured catalysts in the future.

In the Off-Axis Integrated Cavity Output Spectroscopy (OA-ICOS) technique, single-stage filters are commonly used to reduce noise and improve the signal-to-noise ratio, enabling more precise CO2 concentration detection. However, these filters often underperform under real-time conditions. To enhance real-time performance, this paper proposes a novel framework based on Double Wavelet Threshold Filter (DWTF) that adaptively suppresses noise while preserving key features of CO2 concentration signal. Firstly, one wavelet threshold filter (WT) is introduced to calculate the mean of the current sequence, providing an initial denoising step. Secondly, another WT is employed to extract features from a longer sequence for adaptive computation of the discount factor. Finally, an exponential moving average filter (EMA) is applied to combine both current and historical data to produce a smoother aggregated output. To validate the effectiveness, DWTF was compared with other conventional algorithms for a CO2 dataset with three distinct states: smooth, ship and mutant, obtained by OA-ICOS. The experimental results demonstrate that DWTF performs effectively in all three states. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.

The bare amorphous Al_(2)O_(3)-AlPO_(4)and Cs/Al_(2)O_(3)-AlPO_(4)catalysts were developed for the aldol condensation of methyl acetate with formaldehyde to methyl *** structure and property of catalyst were characterized by XRD,XPS,BET,Pyridine-IR,FT-IR,^(27)Al-MASNMR,NH_(3)-/CO_(2)-TPD and *** correlation between structural features and acid-base properties was established,and the loading effect of the cesium species was *** to cooperative catalytic effects between the penta-coordinated Al and Al_(2)O_(3),the weak-Ⅱacid and medium acid site densities and the product selectivity were *** the basic site densities of these catalysts were almost in proportion to the conversion of methyl *** loaded Cs could form new basic sites and change the distribution of acid sites which further enhance the catalytic *** a result,the 10Cs/8AlP was proved to be an optimal catalyst with the yield and selectivity of 21.2%and 85%for methyl acrylate *** the reaction,a deactivation behavior was observed on 10Cs/8AlP catalyst due to the carbon deposition,however,it could be regenerated by thermal treatment in the air atmosphere at 400℃.

The low ion transport is a major obstacle for low-temperature(LT)sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).Herein,a core-shell structure of bismuth(Bi)nanospheres coated with carbon(Bi@C)is constructed by utilizing a novel Bi-based complex(1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylic dianhydride as the ligand)as the precursor,which provides an effective template to fabricate Bi-based ***-40℃,the Bi@C anode achieves a high capacity,which is equivalent to 96%of that at 25℃,benefitting from the core-shell nanostructured engineering and Na^(+)-ether-solvent cointercalation *** special Na+-diglyme cointercalation behavior may effectively reduce the activation energy and accelerate the Na+diffusion kinetics,enabling the excellent low-temperature performance of the Bi@C *** expected,the fabricated Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)//Bi@C full-cell delivers impressive rechargeability in the ether-based electrolyte at-40℃.Density functional theory calculations and electrochemical tests also reveal the fast reaction kinetic mechanism at LT,thanks to a much lower diffusion energy barrier(167 meV)and a lower reaction activation energy(32.2 kJ mol^(-1))of Bi@C anode in comparison with that of bulk *** work provides a rational design of Bi-based electrodes for rechargeable SIBs under extreme conditions.

The Fortran programming language is widely utilized in numerical computation and scientific computing. Fortran programs are prone to potential runtime errors related to numerical properties due to the large number of numerical operations. In this paper, we present F-IKOS, an abstract interpretation-based static analyzer for Fortran programs on top of IKOS, which soundly handles floating-point types in Fortran programs. Firstly, we translate Fortran programs to LLVM IR using compiler front-end Flang. After that, we extend IKOS to support sound floating-point analysis and then employ it to analyze the translated LLVM IR. Particularly, when analyzing floating-point types in programs, we first abstract floating-point expressions into real-number expressions with interval coefficients, and then linearize these expressions into real-number expressions with scalar coefficients. These linear expressions are subsequently handled by abstract domains originally designed for real-number types to produce sound analysis results. We have conducted experiments on representative Fortran programs to show the efficiency and effectiveness of F-IKOS. The experimental results are encouraging: F-IKOS soundly analyzes runtime errors in complex programs, outperforming other analyzers. © 2024 Copyright for this paper by its authors. The sustainable synthesis of dimethyl maleate via diesterification through the utilization of ionic liquid(IL)is of great ***,the relationship between the ILs nature and the reactivity of diesterification is still ***,a series of ILs with different structures were selected for the comprehensive investigation of *** acidity(H_(0))and Kamlet-Taft solvent parameters(hydrogen bond donor ability(α),hydrogen bond acceptor ability(β),and polarizability(π^(*)))of ILs were measured by UV–Visible spectroscopy,and the effects of them on the diesterification of maleic anhydride were also studied in *** results indicated that not only H0of the IL-based catalysis system,but also itsα,β,andπ^(*)influenced the reaction activity of ***,a quantifiable correlation was fitted between the natural logarithm of the rate constant and multiple parameters of ILs,indicating that the diesterification rate had a positive correlation with the H0,α,andπ^(*),and inverse correlation with theβof the IL.A plausible synergetic reaction mechanism for the excellent performance of[(HSO_(3))PMim][HSO_(4)]has been ***,this work thoroughly explored the relationship between the nature of ILs on diesterification in-depth,which will reveal the nature of diesterification in detail.

We consider the problem of consensus of a second-order multi-agent system in the situation where an eavesdropper tends to impact the security of the network.A secure encoding scheme that guarantees both consensus and security of the multiagent network is *** the network,the agents transmit messages to one another through digital channels,and there exists an eavesdropper whose aim is to overhear the state information of the agents in the *** of transmitting the states of themselves,the agents in the network send states of auxiliary systems to defend against the *** concept of topological entropy is utilized to restrict the eigenvalues of the encoding matrix.A sufficient condition is given to guarantee that the network achieves consensus,and the eavesdropper cannot get the accurate estimation of the state of any agent.A simulation example is given to show the performance of the agents and the eavesdropper under the designed encoding scheme.

Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft has gained significant attention as a basic element of urban air mobility (UAM), a potential solution for urban transportation challenges using low-altitude urban airspace. Ensuring the safe operation of eVTOL is crucial for UAM applications, which are related to various professional fields such as aerodynamics, control, structures, and power systems. This article systematically analyzes the characteristics of different design configurations, including multi-rotor, lift+cruise, and tilt-rotor types of eVTOL. The advantages and limitations of each type of eVTOL are analyzed. After that, the overall design problems are analyzed, and challenges of eVTOL control system design are discussed from aspects of overall control structure and subsystems, such as controller, sensors, actuators, and command generator. This article tries to fill the gap in the eVTOL design from a control perspective and provides some resolutions for the eVTOL application. IEEE
