This research used low molecular surface modifiers, and observed that chemisorptions took place through the formation of a bond between silver surface and an adsorbed molecule, which improved the dispersion of silver flakes in the organic resin. Several different functionalizers, such as thioglycolic acid, silane and di-acid, were used to functionalize the silver surface. Results of shear viscosity, bulk resistivity etc. showed that by using these low molecular organic functionalizers, isotropic conductive adhesives (ICAs) with lower shear viscosity and better electrical conductivity at high silver fillers content were obtained. The adipic acid had the greatest effect on the rheological and electrical property of ICAs, so its weight percentage in silver flakes was also optimized; ICAs displayed the maximum electrical conductivity when there was 0.5 wt% of silver flakes.

Image and video coding in block-based image coding can cause blocking artifacts, which severely degrade visual quality in the compressed sequences. Loop deblocking filter method can reduce these artifacts and improve the video objective and subjective quality obviously. In this paper, we propose an efficient deblocking filtering method for multiview video coding, which considers the color bleeding distortion. Experimental results show that this proposed algorithm outperforms the traditional deblocking algorithm in terms of PSNR and subjective visual quality when QP value is relatively high.

Accurate segmentation of moving objects from a video sequence is still a difficult task. A moving object segmentation method is proposed in this paper to deal with the segmentation splits and defects. First, it is claimed that the confusion point is one reason for the segmentation inaccuracy, and corresponding solution is also presented. According to the solution, new likelihood functions are proposed to compute membership probabilities, which are then used for final segmentation within an energy minimization framework. Unlike related algorithms which compute membership probabilities using kernel density estimation, the proposed method models the membership probabilities as functions with kernel density estimation as the independent variable. Experiments show that improved results are generated by the proposed likelihood functions.

This paper presents a method of multi-Scan-Enable DFT design for at-speed scan testing to improve transition fault coverage. Base on the method, we build a novel TR-TC (Test Resources-Test Coverage) associated test cost mathematical model to effectively control the complexity of at-speed DFT design and establish the optimization number of ScanEnable, which provides a reliable target control value in multi-Scan-Enable DFT design for at-speed scan testing. ZnO:Ga (GZO) transparent conductive thin film was deposited on p-GaN acting as the current spreading layer, but it leads to a large contact barrier because of the formation of Schottky contact. However, ohmic contact is of great importance to powered LED. In order to decrease the contact barrier, HCl and NaOH treatment of the p-GaN surface and annealing were employed in this work. The effects of different chemical treatment and annealing on p-GaN/GZO contact property were studied. It is obvious that solutions of alkaline treatment of p-GaN surface can decrease the interfacial barrier, which led to ohmic contact, and the barrier can be lightly increased by annealing.

To study the reliability of the Chip-on-Glass (COG) module interconnected by Non-Conductive-Adhesive (NCF), this paper applied finite element method (FEM) to simulate the fields of temperature and stress in COG. A 3D model of the COG module had been established and a sequence coupled field had been done to calculate the warpage and inner stress. In the thermalcompression bonding stage, the thermal process was a steady state, which produced a low temperature difference in the COG module, while the NCF absorbed and relaxed the thermal stress and strain to weaken warpage. In the cooling stage, the process was non-steady and a significant temperature difference between the interfaces of bump/NCF and NCF/substrate was induced at the beginning. This generated a high thermal stress difference to yield a large warpage. The residual stress and warpage were proportional to the decrease of the mechanical loading in the thermal compression bonding stage and the temperature difference in the cooling stage.

The Effects of surface pretreatments of p-GaN using H2SO4, HF, KOH solution on the optical and electrical properties of GZO/p-GaN contacts have been investigated using a rf magnetron sputter deposition. The current-voltage characteristics of GZO/p-GaN contact is slightly improved using KOH solution treatment. Contact barrier of GZO/p-GaN can be considerably reduced on annealing at 530 °C for 15 min in N2 ambient and the ohmic contact is almost achieved for with KOH-treated sample. the light luminance of 86.7 cd/m2 at current of 20 mA is obtained for GZO electrodes of LEDs with KOH pretreatment.

Among gestures in non-verbal communication, pointing gesture can be taken as one of natural human computer interfaces. Vision based hand pointing is an optimal model for human-computer interaction (HCI). One of key problems among the vision based pointing gesture is how to recognize the pointing. Aiming at some limits existing in the literature, a novel method is developed to estimate pointing gestures based on some non-calibrated cameras. Multiple un-calibrated cameras are adopted to determine the pointing target based on pointing features extracted from multiple cameras and support vector machine (SVM) classifier. No explicit constraints are set on the cameras placement. Pointing user can move freely inside a wider interaction environment while pointing at some targets. The mentioned approach does not constrain the pointing surface whether is flat or not, or the target is visible by the cameras. Edge detection based on multi-scale wavelet transformation is used to extract pointing objects from a clutter background. Experiments have shown that the developed approach is efficient for pointing recognition by comparisons.
