Transformation of Undesired Li_(2)CO_(3)into Lithiophilic Layer Via Double Replacement Reaction for Garnet Electrolyte Engineering

Garnet-type solid-state electrolytes(SSEs)are a remarkable Li-ion electrolyte for the realization of next-generation all-solid-state lithium batteries due to their excellent stability against Li metal as well as high ionic conductivities at room ***,garnet electrolytes always contain undesired and hardly removable Li_(2)CO_(3) contaminations that have persistently large resistance and unstable interface contact with Li *** is a critical bottleneck for the practical application of garnet ***,we design a novel strategy to completely root out Li_(2)CO_(3) both inside and on the surface of *** is achieved by a so-called double replacement reaction between Li_(2)CO_(3) and SiO_(2) during one-step hot press process for garnet electrolyte *** leads to in-situ transformation of LixSiOy(LSO)mostly locating around the grain boundaries of *** to the higher ion conductivity and better electrochemistry stability of LSO than Li_(2)CO_(3),the modified garnet electrolyte shows much improved electrochemical ***,the wettability between modified garnet electrolyte and lithium metals was significantly enhanced in the absence of surface Li_(2)CO_(3).As a proof of concept,an assembled Li symmetric cell with modified garnet electrolyte displays a high critical current density(CCD)of 0.7 mA cm^(-2)and a low interfacial impedance(5Ωcm^(2))at 25℃.These results indicate that the upcycling of Li_(2)CO_(3)is a promising strategy to well-address the degradation and interfacial issue associated with garnet electrolytes.

Polydopamine-assisted in-situ formation of dense MOF layer on polyolefin separator for synergistic enhancement of lithium-sulfur battery

The separator is of great significance to alleviate the shuttle effect and dendrite growth of lithium-sulfur ***,most of the current commercial separators cannot meet these requirements *** this work,a dense metal-organic-framework(MOF)modification layer is in-situ prepared by the assistant of polydopamine on the polypropylene *** to the unique structure and synergistic effect of polydopamine(PDA)and zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8),the functional separator can not only trap the polysulfides effectively but also promote the transport of lithium *** a result,the battery assembled with the functional separator exhibits excellent cycle *** capacity remains 711 mAh·g^(−1)after 500 cycles at 2 C,and the capacity decay rate is as low as 0.013%per *** symmetrical battery is cycled for 1,000 h at 2 mA·cm^(−2)(2 mAh·cm^(−2))with the plating/stripping overpotential of 20 *** the same time,the modification separator shows a higher lithium ion transference number(0.88),better thermal stability and electrolyte wettability than the unmodified separator.

Inhibiting plastic tensile instability of non-symmetric thin-walled shell component via increasing regional metal inflow based on heterogeneous pressure-carrying medium

Heterogeneous pressure-carrying medium was employed to establish a differentiated pressure field on sheet metal in flexible die forming process in this work,which aimed at matching the non-symmetric shape of target component and improving metal inflow to avoid local tensile ***,metal inflow corresponding to the differentiated pressure field was analytically *** of a typical non-symmetric shell component was experimentally and numerically studied based on the proposed *** with forming processes based on the uniform pressure,difference of metal inflow in two sides of the non-symmetric component increased from 2.16 mm to 3.36 mm and metal inflow in critical region increased by 11.9%when differentiated pressure field(taking heterogeneous elastomer#4–3 for example)was *** resultant maximum thinning ratio decreased by 4.2% and the uniformity of shell thickness increased by 16.9%.With the decrease of Shore hardness of elastomer in the formed region,stress path in the ready-to-form region transferred towards the bi-axial tension stress state,i.e.,stress ratio(a)***,stress triaxiality(η)in characteristic regions were regulated appropriately,which decreased the risk of tensile *** was attributed to the decreased normal pressure and frictional resistance at sheet/elastomer interface in the formed region.

IABC: An iteratively automatic machine learning boosted hand-eye calibration method for laser displacement sensor

Effect of the capsule on deformation and densification behavior of nickel-based superalloy compact during hot isostatic pressing

The Shima yield criterion used in finite element analysis for nickel-based superalloy powder compact during hot isostatic pressing(HIP) was modified through uniaxial compression experiments. The influence of cylindrical capsule characteristics on FGH4096M superalloy powder compact deformation and densification behavior during HIP was investigated through simulations and experiments. Results revealed the simulation shrinkage prediction fitted well with the experimental shrinkage including a maximum shrinkage error of 1.5%. It was shown that the axial shrinkage was 1.7% higher than radial shrinkage for a cylindrical capsule with the size of ∮50 mm × 100 mm due to the force arm difference along the axial and radial direction of the capsule. The stress deviated from the isostatic state in the capsule led to the uneven shrinkage and non-uniform densification of the powder compact. The ratio of the maximum radial displacement to axial displacement increased from0.47 to 0.75 with the capsule thickness increasing from 2 to 4 mm. The pressure transmission is related to the capsule thickness, the capsule material performance, and physical parameters in the HIP process.
