In this paper, a new two-relaxation-time regularized (TRT-R) lattice Boltzmann (LB) model for convection-diffusion equation (CDE) with variable coefficients is proposed. Within this framework, we first derive a TRT-R collision operator by constructing a new regularized procedure through the high-order Hermite expansion of non-equilibrium. Then a first-order discrete-velocity form of discrete source term is introduced to improve the accuracy of the source term. Finally and most importantly, a new first-order space-derivative auxiliary term is proposed to recover the correct CDE with variable coefficients. To evaluate this model, we simulate a classic benchmark problem of the rotating Gaussian pulse. The results show that our model has better accuracy, stability and convergence than other popular LB models, especially in the case of a large time step. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. To counter side-channel attacks, a masking scheme randomly encodes key-dependent variables into several shares, and transforms operations into the masked correspondence (called gadget) operating on shares. This provably achieves the de facto standard notion of probing security. We continue the long line of works seeking to reduce the overhead of masking. Our main contribution is a new masking scheme over finite fields in which shares of different variables have a part in common. This enables the reuse of randomness/variables across different gadgets, and reduces the total cost of masked implementation. For security order d and circuit size , the randomness requirement and computational complexity of our scheme areÕ(d2) andÕ(d2) respectively, strictly improving upon the state-of-the-artÕ(d2) andÕ(d3) of Coron et al. at Eurocrypt 2020. A notable feature of our scheme is that it enables a new paradigm in which many intermediates can be precomputed before executing the masked function. The precomputation consumesÕ(d2) and produces Õ(d) variables to be stored in RAM. The cost of subsequent (online) computation is reduced to Õ(d), effectively speeding up e.g., challenge-response authentication protocols. We showcase our method on the AES on ARM Cortex M architecture and perform a T-test evaluation. Our results show a speed-up during the online phase compared with state-of-the-art implementations, at the cost of acceptable RAM consumption and precomputation time. To prove security for our scheme, we propose a new security notion intrinsically supporting randomness/variables reusing across gadgets, and bridging the security of paral lel compositions of gadgets to general compositions, which may be of independent interest. © 2022, Ruhr-University of Bochum. Incorporating positive temperature coefficient(PTC)ceramic particles into polymers provides a prospective alternative solution for suppressing severe electric field distortions caused by negative temperature coefficient(NTC)of electrical resistivity within polymer insulation in high voltage direct current *** effect of the Curie temperature of PTC particles on the inhibition of the NTC effect of cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE)is investigated in this *** temperature coefficient particles with varied Curie temperatures are surface-modified and melt blending with *** modified particles are dispersed on averagely in the *** electrical resistivity,space charge behaviour,and direct current(DC)electrical breakdown strength of the samples are investigated at different temperatures,exploring the effect of the Curie temperature of PTC particles on suppressing the NTC effect of *** is demonstrated that the reduction in Curie temperature can further suppress the NTC effect of XLPE,enhance the DC strength at elevated temperatures,and inhibit the internal space charge *** reduction in the Curie temperatures means that the initiation of the PTC effect advances,exhibiting a higher potential barrier and inhibiting the NTC effect more *** work may give a reference for improving the temperature stability of DC properties for XLPE cable insulation.

Two-relaxation-time regularized lattice Boltzmann model for Navier-Stokes equations

In this paper, we develop a two-relaxation-time regularized lattice Boltzmann (TRT-RLB) model for simulating weakly compressible isothermal flows. A free relaxation parameter, τs,2, is employed to relax the regularized non-equilibrium third-order terms. Chapman-Enskog analysis reveals that our model can accurately recover the Navier-Stokes equations (NSEs). Theoretical analysis of the Poiseuille flow problem demonstrates that the slip velocity magnitude in the proposed model is controlled by a magic parameter, which can be entirely eliminated under specific values, consistent with the classical TRT model. Our simulations of the double shear layer problem, Taylor-Green vortex flow, and force-driven Poiseuille flow confirm that the stability and accuracy of our model significantly surpass those of both the regularized lattice Boltzmann (RLB) and two-relaxation-time (TRT) models, even under super-high Reynolds numbers as Re = 107. Concurrently, the TRT-RLB model exhibits superior performance in very high viscosity scenarios. The simulations of creeping flow around a square cylinder demonstrates the model's capability to accurately compute ultra-low Reynolds numbers as Re = 10−7. This study establishes the TRT-RLB model as a flexible and robust tool in computational fluid dynamics. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

As water reuse development has increased,biological stability issues associated with reclaimed water have gained *** study evaluated assimilable organic carbon(AOC)in effluents from a full-scale membrane biological reactor(MBR)plant and found that they were generally stable over one year(125-216µg/L),with slight increases in warmer *** additional tertiary treatments,the largest increases in absolute and specific AOCs were detected during ozonation,followed by coagulation-ozonation and ***,UV254 absorbance is known to be an effective surrogate to predict the AOC changes during *** coagulation prior to ozonation of MBR effluents for removal of large molecules was found to reduce the AOC formation compared with ozonation treatment ***,the results revealed that attention should be paid to seasonal variations in influent and organic fraction changes during treatment to enable sustainable water reuse.

Existence of Solutions for the Continuous Algebraic Riccati Equation via Polynomial Optimization

This paper studies the solution existence of the continuous-time algebraic Riccati equation (CARE). We formulate the CARE as two constrained polynomial optimization problems, and then use Lasserre's hierarchy of semi-definite relaxations to solve them. Compared to the existing work, our approaches can obtain the exact positive semi-definite solution of the CARE when the coefficient matrices are symmetric. Moreover, our methods can detect the nonexistence of the positive semi-definite solution for the CARE. Numerical examples show that our approaches are effective compared to the existing methods. Theoretical design of new bridge-ring insensitive high energy compounds by selected normal Diels-Alder reactions between NH_(2)-substituted oxazoles and NO_(2)/NF_(2)/NHNO_(2)-substituted ethylenes/acetylenes

In this work,NH_(2)-substituted oxazoles and NO_(2)/NF_(2)/NHNO_(2)-substituted ethylenes/acetylenes were designed and used as dienes and dienophiles,respectively,in order to develop new bridge-ring insensitive high energy compounds through the Diels-Alder reaction between *** reaction type,reaction feasibility and performance of reaction products were investigated in detail *** results showed that dienes most possibly react with dienophiles through the HOMO-diene controlled normal Diels-Alder reaction at relatively low energy *** could react with the designed dienes much more easily than other dienophiles,and was employed to further design 29 new bridge-ring energetic *** to high heat of formation,density and oxygen balance,all designed bridge-ring energetic compounds have outstanding detonation performance,16 of them have higher energy than HMX(1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocine)and 2 others even possess comparative energy with the representative of high energy compounds CL-20(2,4,6,8,10,12-hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtzitane).The predicted average h50 value of these bridge-ring energetic compounds is 83 cm,showing their low impact *** NH2 groups could obviously impel the proceeding of Diels-Alder reactions,but would slightly decrease the energy and sensitivity *** all,the new designed bridge-ring compounds have both high energy and low sensitivity,and may be produced through Diels-Alder reactions at relatively low energy *** paper may be helpful for the theoretical design and experiment synthesis of new advanced insensitive high energy compounds.

In order to realize the agility,collaboration and visualization of alloy material devel-opment process,a product development platform based on simulation and modeling technologies is established in this *** this platform,the whole-process simulation module builds multi-level simulation models based on metallurgical mechanisms from the production line level,the thermo-mechanical coupling field level and the microstructure evolution *** design knowledge management module represents the multi-source heterogeneous material design knowledge through ontology model,including customers’requirement knowledge,material component knowledge,process design knowledge and quality inspection knowledge,and utilizes the case-based reasoning approach to reuse the *** data-driven modeling module applies machine learning algorithms to mine the relationships between product mechanical properties,material components,and process parameters from historical samples,and utilizes multi-objective optimiza-tion algorithms to find the optimal combination of process *** of the developed platform in actual steel mills shows that the proposed method helps to improve the efficiency of product design process.

Consumer approval of the online auction paradigm is demonstrated by rapidly expanding online auction transaction volumes. Bidders can access a wider variety of products, and sellers can reach a larger audience through online auction platforms. However, privacy concerns have reduced users’ trust in auction platforms, and complicated disputes have led consumers to lose faith in online auctions, negatively impacting market growth. The emergence of blockchain technology has brought a new approach to solving these problems. Blockchain is a new generation of information technology that is decentralized, transparent, traceable, anti-tampering, and unforgeable, following big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. In this paper, we present a blockchain-based online auction solution as well as an auction protocol that uses ring signatures to guarantee anonymity. Three features summarize this essay: (1) Using blockchain technology to ensure that the auction transaction process is transparent, traceable, tamper-proof, and unforgeable. (2) The ring signature-based anonymous auction protocol allows for concealing bidders’ public keys in a group of public keys. Because malicious individuals are prevented from evaluating data by tracking numerous transactions of a single public key, this significantly protects bidders’ privacy.
