A Novel Core-Shell Structure Composed of Polypyrrole Shell and High-Entropy Oxide/Carbon Cloth Core for High-Performance Asymmetric Supercapacitors

High entropy oxides (HEOs) are promising for supercapacitor applications owing to their unique high entropy effect and abundant metal elements conducive to providing high capacitance. However, their poor electrical conductivity, low specific capacitance, and poor stability still need to be addressed. Herein, 3D core-shell structured electrodes (CoCrFeMnNi)3O4@CC-PPy are prepared by a two-step electrodeposition method. The core-shell electrode structure is formed by depositing (CoCrFeMnNi)3O4(HEO) nanoparticles on a conductive carbon (CC) cloth followed by electrodeposition of a shell layer composed of highly conductive polypyrrole (PPy) nanospheres. The optimized HEO@CC-PPy-140s electrode prepared by electrodeposition for 140s exhibits excellent specific capacitance reaching 791 F/g at 0.5 A/g current density with a specific capacitance retention of 63% at a high current density of 10 A/g. Importantly, the use of HEO@CC-PPy as a negative electrode in an asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) device assembled with NiCo2O4@CC positive electrode prepared by electrodeposition displays a high energy density of 49.2 Wh/kg and good cycling stability, with a capacitance retention rate of 88.2% after 3,000 charge/discharge cycles. Overall, the proposed three-dimensional core-shell structure electrode design looks promising for the fabrication of supercapacitors with advanced characteristics. © 2024, The Authors. Stability of diverse dodecagonal quasicrystals in T-shaped liquid crystalline molecules

Quasicrystals are intriguing ordered structures characterized by the lack of translational symmetry and the existence of rotational symmetry. The tiling of different geometric units such as triangles and squares in two-dimensional space can result in a great variety of quasicrystals that could be realized by the self-assembly of liquid crystalline molecules. In this study, we introduce three self-similar dodecagonal tilings, including a novel Diamond-Square-Triangle pattern, composed of triangular and quadrangular tiles and examine their thermodynamic stability by using the self-consistent field theory applied to T-shaped liquid crystalline molecules. Specifically, we detail the inflation rules for the construction of these dodecagonal tilings and analyze their self-similarity, and show that these tilings can be viewed as projections of higher-dimensional periodic lattice points with projection windows. Using these dodecagonal tilings as initial configurations of the SCFT results in solutions corresponding to quasicrystals that could form from the T-shaped liquid crystalline molecules. The relative stability of these aperiodic phases is analyzed to obtain design rules that could stabilize quasicrystals. Meanwhile, we provide two criteria for distinguishing three dodecagonal quasicrystals and their approximants by analyzing their diffraction peaks. Emotion Recognition in Conversations (ERC) involves automatically identifying the emotion of each utterance in conversations. The emotion of an utterance is contingent to the conversation context, and thus, annotating each utterance in ERC entails repetitive screening the whole conversation from annotators. Such a requirement leads to prohibitive cost in fine-grained labeling on utterance. In this paper, we propose an efficient coarse-grained labeling strategy for ERC, which assigns a set of emotions for each conversation. In specific, we reformulate the ERC predictors with conversation-level emotion sets as weakly-supervised learning to optimise a potential candidate for ERC, which is termed as Dataless ERC (DERC). To validate this, we propose a simple-yet-flexible DERC framework with Progressive Learning (DERC-PL). We jointly update pseudo-utterance-level emotions and the ERC predictor in a self-training manner, where we progressively update the ERC predictor from training subsets with lower noise densities to the ones with higher noise densities. We implemented several versions of DERC-PL by incorporating various off-the-shelf ERC methods. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that the proposed DERC-PL can be on par with existing weakly-supervised learning baselines and supervised learning ERC methods. A multi-agent decision network based on QMIX is proposed in this paper to cope with the coordination decision problem of multiple UAV air combat missions. To speed up the training process, three improvements are introduced: 1) An improved $\epsilon$ -decaying method that enable some tutor to help in action selection at the early stage of the training. This measure greatly improves the exploring efficiency when the network are far from being fully trained; 2) State pruning and action mask measures are applied during the training. The former improves the effectiveness of the input state information, and the latter reduces unnecessary action exploring. 3) A gradually training configuration is used to make the training process more robust, where the combat adversaries are configured as the static targets, the randomly maneuver vehicles, and the Min-Max strategy vehicles respectively. The multi-UAV air combat scenarios are built up and the experiments are conducted. The results shows that these improvements have significantly improved training efficiency.

Dissolve organic matters (DOM) usually showed negative effect on the removal of inorganic arsenic (As) in groundwater by electrochemical approaches, yet which parts of sub-component within DOM played the role was lack of evidence. Herein, we investigated the effects of land-source humic-like acid (HA) on groundwater As(III) removal using air cathode iron electrocoagulation, based on the parallel factor analysis of three-dimensional excitation–emission matrix and statistical methods. Our results showed that the land-source HA contained five kinds of components and all components presented significantly negative correlations with the removal of both As(III) and As(V). However, the high aromatic fulvic-like acid and low aromatic humic-like acid components of land-source HA presented the opposite correlations with the concentration of As(III) during the reaction. The high aromaticity fulvic-like components of land-source HA (Sigma-Aldrich HA, SAHA) produced during the reaction facilitated the oxidation of As(III) due to its high electron transfer capacities and good solubility in wide pH range, but the low aromaticity humic-like ones worked against the oxidation of As(III). Our findings offered the novel insights for the flexible activities of DOM in electron Fenton system. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

Analysis of X-ray images is one of the main tools to diagnose breast cancer. The ability to quickly and accurately detect the location of masses from the huge amount of image data is the key to reducing the morbidity and mortality of breast cancer. Currently, the main factor limiting the accuracy of breast mass detection is the unequal focus on the mass boxes, leading the network to focus too much on larger masses at the expense of smaller ones. In the paper, we propose the multi-head feature pyramid module (MHFPN) to solve the problem of unbalanced focus of target boxes during feature map fusion and design a multi-head breast mass detection network (MBMDnet). Experimental studies show that, comparing to the SOTA detection baselines, our method improves by 6.58% (in AP@50) and 5.4% (in TPR@50) on the commonly used IN-breast dataset, while about 6-8% improvements (in AP@20) are also observed on the public MIAS and BCS-DBT datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

Aiming at the problem of integrating open tools in a user development environment in complex product design, an integration strategy of model engineering environment based on OpenMBEE is studied. It is based on the technologies of user identity unified authentication and user interaction data collaboration. Specifically, in the solution of unified identity authentication on cross-platform, the extended controller method is provided based on the message queue information flow mechanism. Then, the separation of business logic, data information, and interactive view of user unified authentication are realized, on the basis, that the function of unified identity authentication is realized by using the Software Development Kit (SDK) of OpenMBEE. Besides, in the study of user interaction data collaboration technology, three-layer collaboration mechanisms are proposed, they are the presentation layer collaboration, the business layer collaboration, and the persistence layer collaboration. When the jQuery programming framework is integrated into the bootstrap front-end framework, combing with the OpenMBEE back-end server interface, the collaboration of user interaction data is realized. In order to research the effect of creep behavior and creep mechanical property of composite solid propellant on the structural integrity of long storage solid rocket motor, the semi-electronic compression creep experimental device and experimental method are designed. Then short-term and long-term compression creep experiments were carried out. Based on the experimental results, the compression deformation law of propellant was analysed. The results show that in the short-term compressive creep experiment, the stress-strain relationship of the propellant is still in the linear stage under the stress level of 0.5MPa. In the long-term compressive creep experiment, the stress-strain relationship is obviously nonlinear at the stress level of 0.25MPa. Long-term creep can result in a substantial reduction in propellant failure stress. Long-term creep will lead to large deformation of the propellant and plastic deformation even at relatively low stress level, which will adversely affect the motor structure. © 2022 SPIE.

In recent years, methods based on heterogeneous graph neural networks (HGNNs) have been widely used for embedding heterogeneous graphs (HGs) due to their ability to effectively encode the rich information from HGs into low-dimensional node embeddings. Existing HGNNs focus on neighbor aggregation and semantic fusion while neglecting the HG structure and learning paradigms. However, the original data in the HG might lack node features, which may not be effectively accounted for by existing models. Additionally, exclusively relying on a single supervised learning approach may only partially leverage the invariant information in graph data. To address these challenges, we introduce the Contrastive Auxiliary Learning Model for Heterogeneous Graphs (CALHG), which combines edge perturbation and graph diffusion to enhance graph data, allowing it to capture the inherent structural information within heterogeneous graphs fully. Additionally, we employ a category-guided multi-view contrastive learning optimizing strategy, which does not rely on positive and negative samples for model training, enabling us to capture the intrinsic invariances in heterogeneous graph data. Extensive experiments and analyses on five benchmark datasets without node features and three benchmark datasets with node features validate the effectiveness and efficiency of our novel method compared with several state-of-the-art methods. The compost-derived humic substances(HS)can function as electron mediators for promoting hematite bioreduction because of its redox *** process can affect redox capacities of compost-derived HS by changing its intrinsic ***,the redox properties of compost-derived HS link-ing with hematite bioreduction during composting still remain ***,we investigated the redox capacities of compost-derived HS,and assessed the responses of the redox capacities to the hematite *** result showed that compost-derived HS(i.e.,humic acids(HA)and fulvic acids(FA))were able to accept electrons from Shewanella oneidensis MR-1,and the electron accepting capacity was increased during ***,it could be functioned as electron mediators for promoting the hematite bioreduction,achieving 1.19-2.15 times compared with the control *** only the aromatic structures(quinone)but also the non-quinone structures such as nitrogen-and sulfur-containing functional moieties were served as the redox-active functional groups of compost-derived *** work proved that the aromatic functional groups and the heteroatom structures(especially N)were important to the hematite *** study highlights the redox-active properties of compost-derived HS and its impact on the microbial reduction of iron *** capacity of compost-derived HS might mitigate the environmental risk of contaminants when the composting production was added into the contaminated soils as low-cost repair materials.
