Numerical simulation of materials-oriented ultra-precision diamond cutting:review and outlook

Ultra-precision diamond cutting is a promising machining technique for realizing ultra-smooth surface of different kinds of *** fundamental understanding of the impact of workpiece material properties on cutting mechanisms is crucial for promoting the capability of the machining technique,numerical simulation methods at different length and time scales act as important supplements to experimental *** this work,we present a compact review on recent advancements in the numerical simulations of material-oriented diamond cutting,in which representative machining phenomena are systematically summarized and discussed by multiscale simulations such as molecular dynamics simulation and finite element simulation:the anisotropy cutting behavior of polycrystalline material,the thermo-mechanical coupling tool-chip friction states,the synergetic cutting responses of individual phase in composite materials,and the impact of various external energetic fields on cutting *** particular,the novel physics-based numerical models,which involve the high precision constitutive law associated with heterogeneous deformation behavior,the thermo-mechanical coupling algorithm associated with tool-chip friction,the configurations of individual phases in line with real microstructural characteristics of composite materials,and the integration of external energetic fields into cutting models,are ***,insights into the future development of advanced numerical simulation techniques for diamond cutting of advanced structured materials are also *** aspects reported in this review present guidelines for the numerical simulations of ultra-precision mechanical machining responses for a variety of materials.

Link analysis is an important way to discover potential web communities. This paper analyzes the characteristics of the Web link structure, and studies the traditional maximum flow algorithm and the maximum flow algorithm based on HITS algorithm for edge capacity allocation. The traditional maximum flow problem, but there are still shortcomings. Based on the analysis of existing link similarity definitions, this paper proposes a new definition of link similarity and topic dissimilarity to better describe the relationship between linked pages, and to measure based on link similarity and topic dissimilarity. The similarity of the pages gives a more reasonable and efficient maximum flow-side capacity allocation scheme. The community discovery of 6 topics shows that the maximum flow algorithm proposed in this paper using the link similarity and topic dissimilarity model to allocate edge capacity can better solve the problems of existing algorithms and significantly improve the quality of the Web community. This paper proposes new methods and ideas for page similarity measurement, and provides new strategies for improving the Web community discovery algorithm based on link analysis. © The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2021.

The ambiguity function describes the joint characteristics of the signal in the time domain and the frequency domain, and is usually used for signal recognition. The time domain and frequency domain distribution of noise is more spurious than the signal. Its ambiguity function can also reflect its characteristics. However, the direct use of the ambiguity function as the signal feature will increase the amount of calculation of the detection system, so slice it, which reduces the burden on the system for detecting signal information while preserving the information. At the same time, the radar signal detection based on neural network can avoid the influence of artificially setting the threshold on the detection performance of the system. So, we propose an algorithm for inputting the extracted fuzzy function slice sequence into a neural network to realize signal detection. simulation proves that when the signal-To-noise ratio of the received signal is very low, our proposed method still has a high detection probability. © 2021 IEEE.

An important challenge facing K-ion batteries lies in exploring earth-abundant and safe cathode materials that can provide high capacity with high migration rate of K ***,we propose a simple and efficient method for searching potential K cathode materials with first principles *** screening is based on combinations of weight capacity,K ion occupation ratio,volume change per K,and valence *** this screening method we predicted a series of potential K ions cathodes with favorable electrochemical performance,such as K_(2)VPO_(4)CO_(3)-like structures with 1 D diffusion channels,3 D channel structures K_(2)CoSiO_(4),layered materials KCoO_(2),KCrO_(2),KVF_(4) and K_(5)V_(3)F_(14),and *** potential cathodes have small volume changes,suitable voltage,and high capacity,with small diffusion *** may be useful in K-ion batteries with high energy density and rate performance.

Effect of Aggregate Shape on Mechanical Properties for Ercc Based on a Highly Detailed simulation Method

Electrically conductive roller-compacted concrete (ERCC) is a novel functional material with self-heating ability, which can be applied to solve problems of low efficiency of artificial snow removal and deicing on expressway and airport runway, and difficult temperature control of dam structures. This study analyzed the strength performance experiment and mesoscale simulation of ERCC. Aimed at the core sample formed by rolling construction technology from the large ERCC specimen, the macroscopic test of mechanical properties and the mesoscopic test of X-ray computed tomography (XCT) were carried out. Based on the experimental results, the mechanical properties of ERCC with different aggregate shapes were analyzed by the highly detailed simulation method, and a mesoscale simulation model for real aggregate with different sphericity for ERCC was developed. The result demonstrates that the ERCC forming quality of rolling construction technology is positive with compressive strength of 22.85 MPa, splitting strength of 1.72 MPa, elastic modulus of 23.7 GPa. The simplified spherical method adopted in the traditional method for mesoscale simulation analysis underestimates the strength of concrete, leading to the necessity to analyze the mechanical properties of concrete with real aggregate according to engineering practice. Furthermore, when the strength of the mortar and interface transition zone (ITZ) is constant, reducing aggregate sphericity can improve the mechanical properties of ERCC;Therefore, the crushed artificial aggregate is suggested for rolling construction of ERCC in engineering. The results are in accordance with the statistical laws of the field statistical data in engineering practice. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The Shannon-Nyquist sampling theorem for deterministic signals is a fundamental result in the field of telecommunication and signal processing, and many results on this topic have been obtained. However, very few results on random signals have been published, after Kolmogorov mentioned the importance of Shannon-formula for stochastic signals in 1956. In this paper, following the almost sure result for bandlimited stochastic processes proposed by Seip in 1990, we give an almost sure result of the classical sampling theorem for bandlimited random signals with local average sampling.

Population clustering methods, which consider the position and fitness of individuals to form sub-populations in multi-population algorithms, have shown high efficiency in tracking the moving global optimum in dynamic optimization problems. However, most of these methods use a fixed population size, making them inflexible and inefficient when the number of promising regions is unknown. The lack of a functional relationship between the population size and the number of promising regions significantly degrades performance and limits an algorithm’s agility to respond to dynamic changes. To address this issue, we propose a new species-based particle swarm optimization with adaptive population size and number of sub-populations for solving dynamic optimization problems. The proposed algorithm also benefits from a novel systematic adaptive deactivation component that, unlike the previous deactivation components, adapts the computational resource allocation to the sub-populations by considering various characteristics of both the problem and the sub-populations. We evaluate the performance of our proposed algorithm for the Generalized Moving Peaks Benchmark and compare the results with several peer approaches. Degradation of antibiotics suffers from a long treatment cycles or leakage of toxic byproducts. Microwave-induced catalysis holds promise in addressing efficient and secure degradation of antibiotics. Traditional view holds that the ROS yield in this process heavily relies on the microwave absorption of microwave-induced catalysts. Herein, we propose a strategy for adjusting the microstructures of catalyst to achieve variable microwave absorption, which enables rapid generation of ROS without requiring high microwave absorption capacity. This strategy controls the annealing time (S-3h) of Fe/Fe3C@C nanofibers, a favorable microwave-induced catalyst, exhibit a high removal rate (87.3%) of chlorotetracycline at low microwave power of 300 W, which is 1.13 (S-2h) and 1.61 (S-1h) times higher than the control group. The non-linear relationship between ROS production and microwave absorption capacity in Fe/Fe3C@C was observed, which overturns traditional understanding. Further analysis involving ROS quenching, ESR, LC-MS analysis revealed that this is due to a transition from oxygen-centered persistent free radical (PFRs) to carbon-centered PFRs, which could mediate the generation of •OH and •O2− from oxygen-containing groups. This study offers a novel perspective on the rational design of microwave-induced catalysts for the efficient and secure degradation of antibiotics. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Incomplete Graph Learning: A Comprehensive Survey

Graph learning is a prevalent field that operates on ubiquitous graph data. Effective graph learning methods can extract valuable information from graphs. However, these methods are non-robust and affected by missing attributes in graphs, resulting in sub-optimal outcomes. This has led to the emergence of incomplete graph learning, which aims to process and learn from incomplete graphs to achieve more accurate and representative results. In this paper, we conducted a comprehensive review of the literature on incomplete graph learning. Initially, we categorize incomplete graphs and provide precise definitions of relevant concepts, terminologies, and techniques, thereby establishing a solid understanding for readers. Subsequently, we classify incomplete graph learning methods according to the types of incompleteness: (1) attribute-incomplete graph learning methods, (2) attribute-missing graph learning methods, and (3) hybrid-absent graph learning methods. By systematically classifying and summarizing incomplete graph learning methods, we highlight the commonalities and differences among existing approaches, aiding readers in selecting methods and laying the groundwork for further advancements. In addition, we summarize the datasets, incomplete processing modes, evaluation metrics, and application domains used by the current methods. Lastly, we discuss the current challenges and propose future directions for incomplete graph learning, with the aim of stimulating further innovations in this crucial field. To our knowledge, this is the first review dedicated to incomplete graph learning, aiming to offer valuable insights for researchers in related fields.1 Copyright © 2025, The Authors.
