Opportunistic network mobile user-nodes location prediction can help to collect the data, improve the dynamic network and help to decrease the problems which include the delay, low success rate, high storage space energy consume and so on, which are the results of the blindness in the process of delivery. In this paper, a mobile node location prediction algorithm base on the Multi-Order Markov prediction model as the initial forecast, and then use social-relationship which is closely linked to the node to optimize the algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is better than the single Multi-Order Markov model.

We investigate trajectory tracking in Vehicular Ad hoc networks (VANETs) in this work. Previous tracking methods suffer from low accuracy, large overhead, and big error. In this paper, we propose a Vehicular Crowdsourcing Localization and Tracking (VCLT) scheme for mounting a trajectory tracking attack. In our scheme, crowdsourcing technique is applied to sample the location information of certain users. Then matrix completion algorithm is used to generate our predictions of the users’ trajectories. To alleviate the error disturbance of the recovered location data, Kalman filter technique is implemented and the trajectories of certain users are recovered with accuracy. At last, extensive simulations are conducted to show the performance of our scheme. Simulations results reveal that the proposed approach is able to accurately track the trajectories of certain users. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.

Background: Decades of steady improvements in life expectancy in Europe slowed down from around 2011, well before the COVID-19 pandemic, for reasons which remain disputed. We aimed to assess how changes in risk factors and cause-specific death rates in different European countries related to changes in life expectancy in those countries before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: We used data and methods from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study 2021 to compare changes in life expectancy at birth, causes of death, and population exposure to risk factors in 16 European Economic Area countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden) and the four UK nations (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales) for three time periods: 1990–2011, 2011–19, and 2019–21. Changes in life expectancy and causes of death were estimated with an established life expectancy cause-specific decomposition method, and compared with summary exposure values of risk factors for the major causes of death influencing life expectancy. Findings: All countries showed mean annual improvements in life expectancy in both 1990–2011 (overall mean 0·23 years [95% uncertainty interval [UI] 0·23 to 0·24]) and 2011–19 (overall mean 0·15 years [0·13 to 0·16]). The rate of improvement was lower in 2011–19 than in 1990–2011 in all countries except for Norway, where the mean annual increase in life expectancy rose from 0·21 years (95% UI 0·20 to 0·22) in 1990–2011 to 0·23 years (0·21 to 0·26) in 2011–19 (difference of 0·03 years). In other countries, the difference in mean annual improvement between these periods ranged from –0·01 years in Iceland (0·19 years [95% UI 0·16 to 0·21] vs 0·18 years [0·09 to 0·26]), to –0·18 years in England (0·25 years [0·24 to 0·25] vs 0·07 years [0·06 to 0·08]). Real-time simulation of large-scale water environments with interacting objects

We present a new GPU scheme for real-time simulation in large-scale water environments with physics-based object interaction. To improve the simulation efficiency, we divide surface waves into ambient waves and interactive waves. A fast and stable Verlet integration method is applied to solve the wave equation to simulate the propagation of interactive waves. To solve the problem that the interactive area caused by the moving object is uncertain, we propose a moving grid suited to LOD (Levels of Detail) surface with multiple resolutions, which reduces the computation cost. The extension of multiple moving grids makes the interaction of water and various objects possible. We propose a volume conservation based method to generate interactive waves and apply rigid body dynamics to demonstrate the effect of water reaction against the object. The algorithm of this paper inserts pseudo items which are converted from item interval to obtain equal extended sequence database;it defines item-interval constraints, which are relative to the item weight, to prune the mining patterns. Through doing this, the algorithm avoids mining the patterns which users are not interested in and shortens the running time. It adopts histogram statistic pattern to get the standardization description to item interval of the mining patterns, making the mining sequences include the item interval information which is valuable to user decision.

Partial label learning deals with the problem where each training example is associated with a set of candidate labels, among which only one is correct. The common strategy is to try to disambiguate their candidate labels, such as by identifying the ground-truth label iteratively or by treating each candidate label equally. Nevertheless, the above disambiguation strategy is prone to be misled by the false positive label(s) within candidate label set. In this paper, a new disambiguation-free approach to partial label learning is proposed by employing the well-known error-correcting output codes (ECOC) techniques. Specifically, to build the binary classifier with respect to each column coding, any partially labeled example will be regarded as a positive or negative training example only if its candidate label set entirely falls into the coding dichotomy. Experiments on controlled and real-world data sets clearly validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. Copyright © SIAM.

The characteristics of the MicroBlog data are analyzed firstly. Then WeiBo graph is constructed through tweets forwarded path and user influence ranking calculation method which according to the classic PageRank is given;the initial value of user influence ranking concludes three attributes, such as followers' number, tweets' number and recent tweets' quality. Maximization algorithm in MicroBlog based on user influence ranking is put forward finally. With regard to the community mining in weighted signed networks and weighted social networks containing only positive links, the AGMA algorithm has some imperfections in the second clustering of vertices. So some improvements were made to it. And a new algorithm CD WSSN (Community Detection for Weighted Signed Social networks) is proposed to detect communities in undirected and unweighted signed networks. It takes the sign of the edge, the weight of the edge and the friend coefficient between the vertex and community as clustering criteria of vertices. It can divide a weighted signed network into the right number of communities accurately and effectively. Experiments were done on datasets like weighted signed networks, weighted traditional social networks, unweighted signed networks as well as standard networks. The comparative analysis of the experimental results were also done with regard to the difference and frustration about CD WSSN, AGMA, CRA algorithm, and so on. Vector orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (V-OFDM) for single transmit antenna systems is a generalization of OFDM where single-carrier frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE) and OFDM are just two special cases. Phase noise in a V-OFDM system leads to a common vector block phase error (CVBPE) as well as an inter vector block carrier interference (IVBCI) effect. Severe performance degradation results if these two effects are not estimated and compensated for. In this paper blind and semi-blind phase noise estimation and compensation in a V-OFDM system is investigated by using the expectation maximization (EM) algorithm. This is motivated by the fact that conventional frequency domain phase noise suppression schemes based on pilot-aided CVBPE estimation and compensation are not spectrally efficient as the vector block size is increased. Two novel algorithms are proposed, one estimates the CVBPE only and the other estimates the entire phase noise sequence in the time-domain. Simulations show that with the proposed algorithms V-OFDM can outperform OFDM system with conventional data aided or soft information aided phase noise CPE correction.

Inconsistency handling in OWL DL ontologies is an important problem because an ontology can easily be inconsistent when it is generated or modified. Current approaches to dealing with inconsistent ontologies often assume that there exists a total order over axioms and use such an order to select axioms to remove. However, in some cases, such as ontology merging, a total order may not be available and we only have a partial order over axioms. In this paper, we consider a general notion of logical inconsistency and define the notion of conflict of an inconsistent ontology. We then propose a general approach to resolving inconsistency of a partially ordered ontology. We instantiate this approach by proposing two algorithms to calculate prioritized hitting sets for a set of conflicts. We implement the algorithms and provide evaluation results on the efficiency and effectiveness by considering both artificial and real-life data sets.
