Utility coupling promotes cooperation in multiplayer snowdrift games on interdependent simplicial networks

Real-world social networks often contain not only one-to-one pairwise interactions, but also multi-person group interactions involving more than two individuals. To reveal the important role of such group interactions (i.e., higher order topology) for the evolution of cooperation, we here use interdependent simplicial network topologies, where the evolutionary interactions, governed by the snowdrift game, are thus explored beyond pairwise links. We also consider utility coupling between two network layers in an uncorrelated interdependence. Systematic Monte Carlo simulations lead us to two main conclusions. First, we find that the level of cooperation can be elevated by increasing the utility coupling value. And second, cooperation tends to decline when we increase the number of 2-simplex interactions. However, despite the later result, the overall cooperation level on both interdependent networks is still higher than that on any isolated network. We hope that these results will inspire future research on cooperation among unrelated individuals in higher order networks.

On networks over finite rings

A (control) network over a finite ring is proposed. Using semi-tensor product (STP) of matrices, a set of algebraic equations are provided to verify whether a finite set with two binary operators is a ring. It is then shown that the STP-based technique developed for logical (control) networks are applicable to (control) networks over finite rings. The sub- (control) network over an ideal of the bearing ring is revealed. Then the product ring is proposed and the (control) network over product ring is investigated. As a key result, the decomposition theorem, called the Decomposition Principle (DP), is proposed, which shows a (control) network over a product ring is decomposable into sub- (control)networks over each factor rings, which makes the (control) properties of a network can be revealed by its factor sub-networks over factor rings. Using DP, the control problems of a control network are investigated via its sub control networks. Particularly, using DP, the control of linear networks over product rings is discussed in detail. Finally, the representation theorem is presented, which shows that each (control) network over a finite set can be expressed as a (control) network over a product ring. © 2021, CC BY-SA.

The lack of emotion is the bottleneck to improve the efficiency of online learning. In this paper, an online learning system based on EEG emotion computing is developed by using Python and PHP mixed programming method. The original EEG data are collected by Emotive EPOC, PSD is extracted as EEG features, and SVM classifier is used to classify emotional states. The system can analyze the emotional state of online learners in real time and accurately. It has the characteristics of humanized interface and modular algorithm. It can enhance the emotional interaction in online learning environment, and has reference significance for the development of educational application based on BCI.

When wavelet transform and empirical mode decomposition(EMD) transform decompose the transient signal of line fault, the problem of missing some fault information will occur, which will affect the accuracy of fault location of distribution line. A new fault location method based on the relative entropy of variational mode decomposition (VMD) transformation energy is ***, the fault zero sequence current signal collected by the detection device is decomposed by VMD transformation, and the transient energy of different components of the signal is calculated. Then, according to the characteristics of energy relative entropy difference between the sections, the fault section of the line is determined. The experimental results show that the method is not affected by the distance of the fault, the initial phase angle of the fault and the transition resistance, and it can accurately locate the fault section of the line.

An online measurement method for noise-source impedance of electrical equipment

The paper presents a method of extracting noise source impedance of electrical equipment under working condition. Firstly, based on the theory of two-port network, the measurement method of noise impedance is analyzed theoretically, and the injection probe and receiving probe are calibrated by two known resistors. No special calibration fixture is needed to calibrate the injection probe and receiving probe. Secondly, the port structure of the noise impedance measurement method is analyzed, and the noise source impedance is calculated by using the theory of microwave transmission. Compared with the traditional method, this method does not require calibration fixture and simplifies the experimental process. Finally, passive devices and active systems are tested respectively, and the experimental results show that the method is effective and feasible. © 2020, Electromagnetics Academy. An improved calculation method for static capacitance in inductor windings

This paper proposes an improved method for calculating static capacitance between two conductors with circular cross-sections in inductor windings. It considers the effects of electric field coupling and energy distribution on static capacitance. In this paper, the capacitance between two conductors in inductor windings is calculated by the improved calculation method and finite-element method (FEM), respectively. The relative error of the improved calculation method is between 0.11% and 4.51% compared to the FEM. In order to verify the effectiveness of this method for inductor winding, the orthogonal stacking winding and staggered stacking winding are chosen as calculation examples to accurately predict the static capacitance of multi-layer circular-section induction coils. Finite element models for the two types of windings are built to determine the capacitances for our 3 × 3 array arrangement winding. The results show that the improved calculation method proposed in this paper highly conforms to FEM. Finally, we adopt an air-cored cylindrical inductor winding for experimental verification, and the improved calculation method is proved to be correct. © 2020, Electromagnetics Academy. In modern medicine, it is necessary to collect signals to determine human's health, such ECG signal, a fluorescent signal obtained by Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) in medicine, and the like. In this article, in allusion to the myoelectric interference, baseline drift and common interference caused by machine power and external environment, A new signal denoising method based on the combination of Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition and Non-Local Mean is put forward. The method decomposed the ECG signal by EEMD to obtain a set of IMFS, then calculate the sample entropy of each component, and distinguish the signal dominant component between noise dominant component, and then denoise the noise dominant component. by Non-Local Mean to obtain a new component, and finally reconstructs the new component and the signal dominant component to gain a denoised signal. In experimental verification, the new algorithm is compared with wavelet threshold denoising, EEMD-wavelet threshold denoising and normal Non-Local Mean denoising. According to the experimental results we draw the conclusion that the new method can remove the noise influence effectively on the Signa Noise Ratio and Mean Square Error. Both are better than several other algorithms.

According to the characteristics of parabola function, a new discrete-time sliding mode repetitive control method based on parabola approach law is proposed for the periodic trajectory tracking of uncertain discrete-time systems in modern industrial production. The discrete sliding mode controller based on parabola approach law can effectively suppress chattering, and the discrete sliding mode repetitive controller based on ideal switching dynamics can solve the problem of periodic disturbance. The convergence characteristics of parabola approach law are analyzed, including absolute convergence layer, monotone convergence layer and steady-state error band, which are used to describe the dynamic performance of system error under different parameters. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

The core component of the PCR(Polymerase Chain Reaction)instrument is the temperature control system. The PCR reaction process also has high requirements for temperature control. At present, the most widely used PID temperature control system has been difficult to adapt to the high efficiency and high precision requirements of the PCR instrument. In this paper, the mathematical model of TEC(Thermo Electric Cooler) based PCR instrument is deduced, and the multi-modal control system of PCR instrument is designed by using multi-modal control idea combined with fuzzy control and fuzzy PID control. Compared with the traditional PID temperature control, the system has a short steady-state time, a small overshoot and a strong robustness. Based on the temperature control system, the PCR reaction cycle can be shortened and the system accuracy can be increased.
