Automated cell tracking is an important branch of multi-object tracking,which can be used for quantitatively analyzing cell migration,proliferation and *** this paper,we proposed a hierarchical tracking method,fusing the global optimal method in consecutive frames assignment and local optimal approach in spatial trajectory *** the process,the detection errors were recognized and cell moving trajectories were completed *** also introduced the concept of clustering to measure the correlation between established short trajectories and reduce the tracking errors caused by fast *** rare information of cells was used in the linkage,the system can work well with *** experimental results show the effectiveness of our approach with cells having different density and activity.

Design and analysis of minimizing torque ripple for direct torque controlled permanent magnet synchronous motor based on fuzzy control method

This paper is presented to examine and improve the performance of the torque ripple suppression for direct torque controlled permanent magnet synchronous motor by using fuzzy control method. On the basis of analyzing the torque ripple of the direct torque control in details, the fuzzy controllers are designed for two parts. Since the errors of the torque and flux could not assess accurately in hysteresis structure, the hysteresis controllers of the conventional DTC method are replaced by the fuzzy controller which could select the optimal voltage vector by judging the deviation degree of the torque and flux errors according to the fuzzy logic inference. Then the action time of the selected optimal voltage vector is determined by using the fuzzy duty ratio control method, the ripples of torque and flux can be attenuated effectively. The comprehensive simulation experiment is exhibited to reveal the excellent response performance of the system and verify the feasibility of the proposed fuzzy control scheme. It is an important means to reveal mysteries of the brain with information theory,but scientists rarely use this method for the study of the nervous system in recent *** this study,it's the first time,by using the concepts of information theory,to exploratory investigate the dynamic properties of time course data of fMRI and functional brain *** show that the symbolic dynamics method can reduce the noise of the MRI datasets,and highlight the differences between the *** elderly group,the regions with larger entropy are mainly located in prefrontal regions,basal ganglia ***,there are significant differences in the search information entropy between the young and elderly *** results have significance for the interpretation of the brain mechanisms,which may be the basis for follow-up studies of the brain mechanisms.

In this paper,we discuss consensus problems for antagonistic networks with double integrator *** cases are analyzed:(1) undirected graphs with fixed topology on antagonistic networks;(2) undirected graphs with fixed topology and time-delay on antagonistic *** both cases,distributed consensus protocols are proposed,with sufficient and necessary conditions *** is proved that the largest tolerable time-delay is only related to the largest eigenvalue of the graph ***,simulations are provided to demonstrate the obtained theoretical results.

Switching mechanism for TiO_2 memristor and quantitative analysis of exponential model parameters

The memristor, as the fourth basic circuit element, has drawn worldwide attention since its physical implementation was released by HP Labs in 2008. However, at the nano-scale, there are many difficulties for memristor physical realization. So a better understanding and analysis of a good model will help us to study the characteristics of a memristor. In this paper, we analyze a possible mechanism for the switching behavior of a memristor with a Pt/TiO2/Pt structure, and explain the changes of electronic barrier at the interface of Pt/TiO2. Then, a quantitative analysis about each parameter in the exponential model of memristor is conducted based on the calculation results. The analysis results are validated by simulation results. The efforts made in this paper will provide researchers with theoretical guidance on choosing appropriate values for(α, β, χ, γ) in this exponential model.

Learning-based face hallucination methods have received much attention and progress in past few decades. Specially, position-patch based approaches have been proposed to replace the probabilistic graph-based or manifold learning-based ones. As opposed to the existing patch based methods, where the input image patch matrix is converted into vectors before combination coefficients calculation, in this paper, we propose to directly use the image matrix based regression model for combination coefficients computation to preserve the essential structural information of the input patch matrix. For each input low-resolution (LR) patch matrix, its combination coefficients over the training image patch matrices at the same position can be computed. Then the corresponding high-resolution (HR) patch matrix can be obtained with the LR training patches replaced by the corresponding HR ones. The nonlocal self-similarities are finally utilized to further improve the hallucination performance. Various experimental results on standard face databases indicate that our proposed method outperforms some state-of-the-art algorithms in terms of both visual quantity and objective metrics.

That combining membrane computing with optimization technology offers a new information interaction model for the research of problems in optimization filed. Based on this, a membrane algorithm owned six basic membranes is proposed to solve the defects of the slow convergence and the small diversity in solving vehicle routing problem with time window. In order to further improve the efficiency and the precision, some new rules are designed: for the former problem, a node classifier is introduced to improve the efficiency by filtering directly a plenty of in-feasible solutions;two methods for the latter problems: an uncertain segment crossover is designed in the corresponding membrane in order to explore directly two feasible segments and segment-node insertion operation is introduced in order to make two individuals inserted synchronously another path. In order to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm, a series of experiments are designed. Known through the results of experiments that these two properties of membranes make the search ability of the algorithm improving quickly for local and global exploration and node classifier improves effectively the running efficiency of this algorithm, which proves that membrane algorithm can accelerate the convergence speed and increase diversity of population. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2016.

Radiomics aims to extract and analyze large numbers of quantitative features from medical images and is highly promising in staging, diagnosing, and predicting outcomes of cancer treatments. Nevertheless, several challenges need to be addressed to construct an optimal radiomics predictive model. First, the predictive performance of the model may be reduced when features extracted from an individual imaging modality (e.g. PET, CT, MRI) are blindly combined into a single predictive model. Second, because many different types of classifiers are available to construct a predictive model, selecting an "optimal" classifier for a particular application is still challenging. In this work, we developed multi-modality and multi-classifier radiomics predictive models that address the aforementioned issues in currently available models. Specifically, a new reliable classifier fusion strategy was proposed to optimally combine output from different modalities and classifiers. In this strategy, modality-specific classifiers were first trained, and an analytic evidential reasoning (ER) rule was developed to fuse the output score from each modality to construct an optimal predictive model. One public datasets and two clinical case studies were performed to validate model performance. The experimental results indicated that the proposed ER rule based radiomics models outperformed the traditional models that rely on a single classifier or simply use combined features from different modalities. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a malignant tumor, and contains three major subtypes which are difficult to be distinguished at early stages of NSCLC. Many pathways work together to perform certain functions in cells. One might expect the high level of co-appearance or repression of pathways to distinguish different subtypes of NSCLC. However, it is difficult to detect coordinated regulations of pathways by existing methods. In our work, the coordinated regulations of pathways are detected using modified higher logic analysis of gene expression data. Specifically, we identify the genes whose regulation obeys a logic function by the modified higher logic analysis, which focuses on the relationships among the gene triplets that are not evident when genes are examined in a pairwise fashion. Then, the relationships among genes are mapped to pathways to predict the coordinated regulated relationships among pathways. By comparing coordinated regulations of pathways, we find that the regulation patterns of pathways which are associated with cell death are different in three subtypes of NSCLC. This method allows us to uncover co-appearance or repression of pathways in high level, and it has a potential to distinguish the subtypes for complex diseases.

Motion cue based pedestrian detection with two-frame-filtering

This study proposes a motion cue based pedestrian detection method with two-trame-filtering （Tff） for video surveillance. The novel motion cue is exploited by the gray value variation between two frames. Then Tff processing filters the gradient magnitude image by the variation map. Summa- tions of the Tff gradient magnitudes in cells are applied to train a pre-deteetor to exclude most of the background regions. Histogram of Tff oriented gradient （HTffOG） feature is proposed for pedestrian detection. Experimental results show that this method is effective and suitable for real-time surveil- lance applications.
