Blind source separation with high reverberation and echoes is an open and extremely challenging issue. Room reverberation and echoes have an important influence on acoustics quality, causing great difficulty in independent source separation. In the paper, an adaptive time-frequency blind source separation algorithm (ATF-BSS) is designed to deal with high reverberation and echoes, which can adaptively attenuate audible echoes and enhance the harmonic structure of real-world audio signals, achieving excellent separation performance. Firstly, an equalizer network is designed for the room impulse response to weakening audible echoes under high reverberation and echo environments without changing the perceived timbre. Furthermore, an adaptive time-frequency Wiener-like masking is presented to enhance the dominant signal and attenuate the other components that have less energy than the dominant signal. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt to incorporate the advantages of an equalizer network for removing or weakening audible echoes and adaptive time-frequency masking to solve blind separation with high reverberation and echoes. Experimental results on public audio datasets demonstrate that the proposed ATF-BSS algorithm improves signal intelligibility and achieves much better separation performance than state-of-the-art methods. © 2023, The Authors. In this paper, the control issue of the semiconductor silicon monocrystalline growth process is studied through an event triggered model prediction approach. Firstly, a state-space model of silicon monocrystalline growth process is developed to describe the energy conversion and the dynamics and the geometry of the isodiametric stage silicon monocrystalline via the Czochralski method. Secondly, a small perturbation linearization is used to obtain a linear continuous model, which is translated into a linear discrete model under zero-order retainers. Finally, an event triggered model prediction controller is established to decrease the calculation of model prediction in the rolling optimization process. Based on experimental results, the event-triggered model prediction control algorithm is confirmed to be an effectively control scheme for the silicon monocrystalline growth process.

Patients with limb dysfunction have limited mobility,which prevents them from performing daily *** have developed an assistive robot system with an intuitive head free gaze *** system consists of multiple modules,including 3 D gaze estimation,head free coordinate transformation,intention recognition,and robot trajectory *** robotic assistive system obtains clues from the user’s gaze to decode their intentions and implement *** allows the user only needs to look at the objects to make the robot system reach,grasp,and bring them to the *** 3 D gaze estimation is evaluated with 5 subjects,showing an overall accuracy of 5.53±1.2 *** integrated system’s experimental results show that the success rate is 96% in the implementation of automatic trajectory planning,and the success rate is 92% in the implementation of fixation-based trajectory ***,the results and work required to improve the system are discussed.

Sparse Prior Is Not All You Need: When Differential Directionality Meets Saliency Coherence for Infrared Small Target Detection

Infrared small target detection is crucial for the efficacy of infrared search and tracking systems. Current tensor decomposition methods emphasize representing small targets with sparsity but struggle to separate targets from complex backgrounds due to insufficient use of intrinsic directional information and reduced target visibility during decomposition. To address these challenges, this study introduces a Sparse Differential Directionality prior (SDD) framework. SDD leverages the distinct directional characteristics of targets to differentiate them from the background, applying mixed sparse constraints on the differential directional images and continuity difference matrix of the temporal component, both derived from Tucker decomposition. We further enhance target detectability with a saliency coherence strategy that intensifies target contrast against the background during hierarchical decomposition. A Proximal Alternating Minimization-based (PAM) algorithm efficiently solves our proposed model. Experimental results on several real-world datasets validate our method’s effectiveness, outperforming ten state-of-the-art methods in target detection and clutter suppression. Retinal vessel segmentation is the main step in the analysis of fundus images. However, gray-scales’ uneven distribution, complex structure, and serious noise interference bring difficulties of automatic retinal vessels segmentation on fundus images. To solve these problems, we present an effective retinal vessel segmentation model, SDUW-Net, in this paper. The same scale dense connection is designed to improve U-Net’s structure and remove different scales dense connections to accelerate the training speed. We use skip connections to merges the features between shallow layers and deep layers to retain more features that may be lost in the process of down sampling and convolution. Experimental results on the DRIVE dataset show that the retinal vessels can be effectively segmented out by our proposed SDUW-Net, which has AUC of 0.9811 with low computation and short training time. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Due to the continuous growth in steel market demand and the shift towards small batches and multiple varieties, efficient storage management has become a key factor in increasing the profitability of logistics parks. However, the current storage methods, due to the unreasonable allocation of stack positions, still result in energy waste during the dispatch phase and the need for trucks to pick up goods across multiple yards. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a comprehensive optimization scheme to reduce truck transfers and energy consumption in steel product dispatch. First, we constructed an optimization problem model that integrates the spatial layout of the logistics park and order data, aiming to maximize the correlation between steel products within the same yard and reduce the total energy consumption during the dispatch phase. Subsequently, a new algorithm called Enhanced Greedy and Tabu-Assisted Adaptive Large Neighborhood Search (EGTA-ALNS) is introduced. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms existing ones in terms of solving speed and scale. It effectively optimizes energy consumption during steel dispatch and reduces the number of truck transfers.

Large-scale multiobjective optimization problems (LSMOPs) are challenging for existing approaches due to the complexity of objective functions and the massive volume of decision space. Some large-scale multiobjective evolutionary algorithms (LSMOEAs) have recently been proposed, which have shown their effectiveness in solving some benchmarks and real-world applications. They merely focus on handling the massive volume of decision space and ignore the complexity of LSMOPs in terms of objective functions. The complexity issue is also important since the complexity grows along with the increment in the number of decision variables. Our previous study proposed a framework to accelerate evolutionary large-scale multiobjective optimization via problem reformulation for handling large-scale decision variables. Here, we investigate the effectiveness of LSMOF combined with decomposition-based MOEA (MOEA/D), aiming to handle the complexity of LSMOPs in both the decision and objective spaces. Specifically, MOEA/D is embedded in LSMOF via two different strategies, and the proposed algorithm is tested on various benchmark LSMOPs. Experimental results indicate the encouraging performance improvement benefited from the solution of the complexity issue in large-scale multiobjective optimization.

We propose a latent multi-view subspace clustering model based on Laplacian regularized representation. To emphasize the information of the representation matrix at the local level and reflect the grouping effect of clustering, a Laplacian regularization is imposed on the representation matrix. Additionally, To boost the efficiency o f c lustering, we apply nonnegative constraints on the representation matrix. A unified framework is designed to solve the proposed model by using ALM and LADMAP methods. The proposed model has excellent performance, as demonstrated by a number of experimental findings.

Pedestrian trajectory prediction plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of various applications, including autonomous vehicles and traffic management systems. This paper proposes a novel method for pedestrian trajectory prediction, called multi-stage goal-driven network (MGNet). Diverging from prior approaches relying on stepwise recursive prediction and the singular forecasting of a long-term goal, MGNet directs trajectory generation by forecasting intermediate stage goals, thereby reducing prediction errors. The network comprises three main components: a conditional variational autoencoder (CVAE), an attention module, and a multi-stage goal evaluator. Trajectories are encoded using conditional variational autoencoders to acquire knowledge about the approximate distribution of pedestrians’ future trajectories, and combined with an attention mechanism to capture the temporal dependency between trajectory sequences. The pivotal module is the multi-stage goal evaluator, which utilizes the encoded feature vectors to predict intermediate goals, effectively minimizing cumulative errors in the recursive inference process. The effectiveness of MGNet is demonstrated through comprehensive experiments on the JAAD and PIE datasets. Comparative evaluations against state-of-the-art algorithms reveal significant performance improvements achieved by our proposed method.

The theory of Stochastic Resonance (SR) has drawn significant attention due to its exceptional ability to detect faint signals. Despite this, research to date indicates that for SR systems, whether they are monostable, bistable, or multi-stable, modifications to the system parameters lead to concurrent alterations in the depth and breadth of the potential wells when analyzing engineering signals, which results in suboptimal detection outcomes. To address these issues, a two-dimensional Gaussian bistable coupled SR (GBCSR) system has been proposed that can individually adjust the potential well characteristics. This innovative system facilitates the separate adjustment of shape characteristics of potential, allowing for more precise manipulation of the system's dynamic response. The system's non-linear dynamic traits are explicated through an analysis of the steady-state probability density (SPD) function and the mean first passage time (MFPT), substantiating the effectiveness of the new model. In practical scenarios, a variety of bearing defect signals serve as the objects of detection. The structural parameters of the GBCSR system are co-optimized using the Brain Storm Optimization (BSO) algorithm. This optimization approach leverages the algorithm's ability to enhance population diversity and improve convergence accuracy, thereby optimizing the system's performance. The experimental outcome results show that the proposed system can accurately detect the frequency of bearing fault signals. When compared with traditional SR systems such as the traditional bistable stochastic SR (TBSR), the traditional Gaussian SR system (TGSR), and the cascade stochastic resonance system, the proposed coupled system demonstrates superior performance. This is achieved through the transfer of energy or information between subsystems, which enables more efficient utilization of noise energy.
