Objective: To develop a neural network model that recommends traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal prescriptions. Methods: We constructed a new dataset of diagnosis and treatment knowledge from the Treatise on Febrile Diseases. Based on TCM's logical principles of 'syndrome differentiation' and 'state recognition', a back-propagation neural network model is proposed that simulates clinical diagnosis and treatment. Results: The proposed model is a four-layer BP neural network. Experiments on the constructed dataset show that the proposed method achieved the best precision, recall, and F1-scores. Conclusion: The proposed method provides much more accurate herbal prescription recommendations than logistic regression. © 2021 IEEE.

With the rapid development of science, technology and the gradual information of education, the automatic English essays correction system has received more and more attention. The existing automatic English essays correction system can provide feedback on vocabulary and grammar, but it has a lack of thought expression analysis of English essays. Therefore, it is impossible to comprehensively evaluate whether opinion of English essays is relevant and expression of sentiment is clear. To solve this problem, we propose to analyze the thought expression of English essays by combining sentiment analysis and opinion analysis. Through experiment analysis and verification from the aspects of relevance degree of opinion, sentiment tendency, and thought expression of English essays, the results show the proposed method has a good performance in analyzing thought expression of English essays. © 2021 Computer Society of the Republic of China. In this paper we propose a non-Markovian quantum channel approach to mitigating the degradation of the average fidelity in continuous-variable quantum teleportation. The non-Markovian quantum channel is modeled by an augmented system where ancillary systems are introduced to represent the internal modes of non-Markovian environments. With a proper non-Markovianity, enhanced effects of the channels on continuous-variable quantum teleportation are observed. Also, the logarithmic negativity of entangled states can be effectively maintained so that the decay of the average fidelity of quantum teleportation is mitigated. In addition, the analysis on different teleported quantum states shows that coherent states exhibit stronger robustness than those of squeezed states and cat states in quantum teleportation with a non-Markovian channel.

Aiming at the problem that commonly used image definition evaluation functions in the focusing process are sensitive to noise, we propose a new image definition evaluation function based on improved maximum local variation and focusing window selection. Firstly, the focusing window is selected by gradient accumulation of a 4-directional Scharr operator in order to reduce the calculation complexity and improve the accuracy of evaluation results. Secondly, an improved 3-neighbors method based on the maximum local variation is proposed to decrease the change in scores for noisy images. Finally, the standard deviation of the improved maximum local variation distribution is used as the measure of clarity. The experimental results show that compared with the method using maximum local variation, the proposed method has better unbiasedness and sensitivity. Compared with the commonly used evaluation functions, the proposed method has better noise immunity and high sensitivity. Compare with other no-reference image quality assessment algorithms, it has better monotonicity, unimodality, unbiasedness, sensitivity and real-time performance as well. The proposed method is suitable for the fine focusing stage with high real-time performance. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

A Chaotic Pseudo Orthogonal Carriers Multi-Access (CPOCMA) communication based on Chaotic Pseudo Orthogonal Shape-forming Filter (CPOSF) bank, Chaotic Pseudo Orthogonal Matched Filter (CPOMF) bank and Chaotic Pseudo Orthogonal Correlation Filter (CPOCF) bank is proposed in this work. At the transmitter, the multiple CPOSFs are used to generate pseudo orthogonal signals. It provides a good trade-off between spectrum efficiency and high bit transmission rate. At the receiver, the CPOMF bank and CPOCF bank are used to maximize the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and extract the received information from each sub-channel, respectively. The received signal is demodulated by averaging the sampled sequence from the matched filter bank output and sorting the sampling sequence from the CPOCF bank output to recover the transmitted information bits. The proposed CPOCMA communication system not only offers multiuser access with high reliability and high data transmission rate, but also achieves higher spectrum efficiency. Analytical Bit Error Rate (BER) expression is derived. The proposed communication system performance has been evaluated in Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel and wireless channel by both numerical simulations and experiments based on a Wireless open-Access Research Platform (WARP), the results show the effectiveness and the superiority of the proposed method. Feedback optimization is a control paradigm that enables physical systems to autonomously reach efficient operating points. Its central idea is to interconnect optimization iterations in closed-loop with the physical plant. Since iterative gradient-based methods are extensively used to achieve optimality, feedback optimization controllers typically require the knowledge of the steady-state sensitivity of the plant, which may not be easily accessible in some applications. In contrast, in this paper, we develop a model-free feedback controller for efficient steady-state operation of general dynamical systems. The proposed design consists of updating control inputs via gradient estimates constructed from evaluations of the nonconvex objective at the current input and at the measured output. We study the dynamic interconnection of the proposed iterative controller with a stable nonlinear discrete-time plant. For this setup, we characterize the optimality and stability of the closed-loop behavior as functions of the problem dimension, the number of iterations, and the rate of convergence of the physical plant. To handle general constraints that affect multiple inputs, we enhance the controller with Frank-Wolfe-type updates. © 2022, CC BY-SA.

Digital creativity is creative expression derived from cultural creativity and information technology. In order to overcome the problem in the creative generation in the condition of fuzzy and uncertain ideas, an automatic generation method of cross-modal fuzzy creativity (AGMCFC) is proposed. In this subject, fuzzy creative data sets and learning retrieval network are constructed for the sake of extracting original creative data effectively. And the logical correlations between creative objects are acquired dynamically based on the graph neural network. Creative objects and creative styles are generated by using generative adversarial nets technology and style transfer technology, respectively. Then, the projectiles, boundary markers and location words of the creative scene objects are generated by analyzing related attributes of each entity. After adjusting the layout, creative works are automatically generated. A fuzzy creative generating environment is implemented. Experimental results show that the screened number of AGMCFC method is about twice as much as that of manual method, and the accuracy rate of AGMCFC method is improved compared with the manual method. In some Internet of Things (IoT) applications, multipath propagation is a main constraint of communication channel. Recently, the chaotic baseband wireless communication system (CBWCS) is promising to eliminate the inter-symbol interference (ISI) caused by multipath propagation. However, the current technique is only capable of removing the partial effect of ISI, due to only past decoded bits are available for the suboptimal decoding threshold calculation. However, the future transmitting bits also contribute to the threshold. The unavailable future information bits needed by the optimal decoding threshold are an obstacle to further improve the bit error rate (BER) performance. Different from the previous method using echo state network (ESN) to predict one future information bit, the proposed method in this paper predicts the optimal threshold directly using ESN. The proposed ESN-based threshold prediction method simplifies the symbol decoding operation by removing the threshold calculation from the transmitting symbols and channel information, which achieves better BER performance as compared to the previous method. The reason for this superior result lies in two folds, first, the proposed ESN is capable of using more future symbols information conveyed by the ESN input to get more accurate threshold;second, the proposed method here does not need to estimate the channel information using Least Square method, which avoids the extra error caused by inaccurate channel information estimation. By this way, the calculation complexity is decreased as compared to the previous method. Simulation results and experiment based on a wireless open-access research platform under a practical wireless channel, show the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method. This paper proposes a novel online-learning-enabled hierarchical distributionally robust energy management framework for multi-microgrids (MMGs) with off-site hydrogen refueling stations (HRSs). The proposed framework integrates day-ahead scheduling, intra-day rescheduling and real-time control. The day-ahead scheduling is implemented via a central energy management system for optimal joint scheduling of the MMG systems and off-site HRSs, then the intra-day rescheduling is carried out to optimize the real-time operation and to generate the reference for local controllers. To adequately characterize the statistical properties of renewable and load uncertainties from data streams, we leverage a Dirichlet process mixture model to construct an online-update ambiguity set, which encodes multimodality and local moment information. Based upon this ambiguity set, an online-learning distributionally robust model predictive control (OL-DRMPC) is developed to enhance the tracking performance of energy storage references and to reduce conservatism while guaranteeing probabilistic operational constraints. Its effectiveness is verified in a case study.
