The current diagnostic methods for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) based on Resting-State Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (rs-fMRI) face two significant challenges. Firstly, the functional connectivity networks (FCNs) of the brain are subject to uncertainty due to noise interference during the rs-fMRI acquisition process. Secondly, variations in equipment parameters across different imaging sites lead to diverse distributions of collected features. To address these issues, this paper introduces a novel Multi-Task Stacked Adaptive Fuzzy Neural Network (AT-STTSK) specifically designed for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classification. The proposed network seamlessly integrates a Multi-Output TSK (MO-TSK) fuzzy system, a Stacked Autoencoder (SAE), and a Transformer. This integration aims to reduce the impact of uncertainty factors, enhance the model's interpretability, and leverage the multi-head attention mechanisms to capture both local and global information, thus strengthening feature learning. Additionally, we explore the utilization of a Contrastive Learning (CL) strategy to further optimize the model. By incorporating these advancements, our AT-STTSK network offers a promising approach for improving the accuracy and reliability of ASD diagnosis based on rs-fMRI data. The validity of the method in this paper is verified on ABIDE dataset, and the result shows that the accuracy rate can reach 85.7% at most. © 2024 IEEE.

With the development of human-computer interaction systems, emotion recognition in conversation (ERC) has attracted increasing interest in recent years. Motivated by recent studies which have proven that generating emotional conversation responses can effectively improve the performance of the ERC model. However, accurate emotional response is complicated due to the limited number of dialogue samples. Therefore, we propose a simple and effective framework for emotion prediction in conversation based on relationship extraction (DiaRP), consisting of two curricula: (1) Dialogue Relationship Capture (DRC);and (2) Next Emotion Prediction (NEP). In DRC, we capture the current emotional self-dependence and interpersonal dependence according to the influence of self and others on the current moment emotion in the conversation. We integrate self-dependence and interpersonal dependence for NEP to predict their emotional state without current utterance. We also measure the similarity between recognized emotion distribution and predicted emotion distribution by the KL divergence. With the proposed model-agnostic DiaRP strategy, we observe a significant performance improvement over a wide range of existing ERC models and achieve new state-of-the-art results on three public ERC datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

The task of gland segmentation based on deep learning serves as a crucial auxiliary tool for diagnosing cancer. However, existing methods still exhibit shortcomings in handling gland adhesion and scale adaptability. To address these issues, we propose a gland segmentation approach that leverages morphological cues and multi-level feature fusion. By analyzing the morphological and imaging characteristics of glands, we have devised a novel scheme for label generation and loss weighting to guide model training. This scheme helps alleviate the challenge posed by the presence of adjacent glands and their adhesion. Additionally, by exploring the correlation between semantic features at different levels, we have developed a new feature fusion mechanism to mitigate issues related to model inaccuracies arising from variations in gland scales. Through experimental comparisons and discussions with classical and state-of-the-art methods, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed approach. © 2023 IEEE.

Curve-Suppression-Based Event-Triggered Mechanisms for Quasi-Synchronization of Fuzzy Delayed Neural Networks on Time Scales

The vast majority of published event-triggered mechanisms (ETMs) are constructed based on measurement errors, which introduces a problem naturally that they are updated when the measurement errors exceed the thresholds although the current obtained sampling states can make systems converge well. With this problem in mind, we redesign ETMs for quasi-synchronization of T-S fuzzy neural networks (FNNs) with time delays on time scales. First, a novel ETM is designed for continuous-time FNNs with time-varying delays to achieve quasi-synchronization, with which synchronization errors is suppressed to globally exponentially converge to a ball. Second, we introduce the ETM for continuous-time FNNs to discrete-time FNNs, owing to the existence of discrete-time states, the Lypunov function of synchronization errors run over the exponentially decay curve, but it can be suppressed to evolve under another exponentially decay curve. Third, for FNNs on time scales with constant and time-varying delays, we estimate the forward jump operator of the Lyapunov functions and design ETMs to guarantee that the Lypunov functions evolve under the exponentially decay curves, so quasi-synchronization can be achieved. Last but not least, we prove that Zeno behavior will not happen and four numerical examples are introduced to verify the validity and the superiority of the proposed ETMs in reducing information transmission. © 2013 IEEE.

The key for bulldozers to realize automatic operation in mine scenes is whether they can accurately identify and accurately segment the retaining walls, however, because the point cloud dataset of the mine site is too few, resulting in the deep learning-based identification and segmentation algorithm cannot be applied in this scene. At the same time, because of the rugged road surface of the mine scene, the existence of a lot of dust, numerous disturbances, retaining wall features are not obvious and other problems, the algorithms proposed by previous scholars are not perfect enough to solve the problem. We propose a point cloud recognition and segmentation algorithm based on clustering and evaluation function of integrated features. Ours firstly compensates the skew of the point cloud map with RANSAC and down samples the data by gridding the point cloud. Then reduces the influence of dust and truck materials in the scene by normal vector and variance information. Finally, screens out the candidate target class by density clustering, and identifies and segments the retaining wall by integrated feature. Our proposed algorithm is validated in several different real mine scenarios and the results show that ours has high accuracy and strong robustness. © 2023 IEEE.

The pursuit of accurate and fluent English communication is the cornerstone of global academic exchange and expression. The accuracy of written English is crucial for effective discourse;however, despite advancements in grammatical error correction (GEC) technology, these systems often fall short when analyzing coherent text. This paper delves into the complexities of English writing and the challenges posed by current GEC systems, advocating for a shift toward understanding document-level context in error correction. We propose a dual-encoder architecture within an encoder-decoder model, referred to as the Context-Aware Grammatical Error Correction (CAGEC) model. The CAGEC model employs an innovative dual-encoder structure, combining the encoder of the Transformer model with a Bi-GRU (Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit) neural network, and integrates encoding into the decoder through attention and gating mechanisms to achieve a deep understanding of the source sentence and its context. © 2024 IEEE.

Reversible solid oxide cells (rSOC) can operate in both electrolysis mode and in fuel cell mode with high efficiency and reduced cost using the same device for both functions. When used in dynamic operation with intermittent electrical power sources, rSOC system switches from the fuel cell (SOFC) to electrolyzer (SOEC) and vice versa depending on load and grid peculiarities. This can lead to temperature profiles within the stack that can potentially lead to the failure of the stack and eventually the system. In the present work, a system-level dynamic model of rSOC is established and validated against experimental data. Subsequently, detailed dynamic thermal behavior of stack during the switching between the two modes is analyzed, and a temperature management controller based on Model Predict control method (MPC) is proposed. Gas flow and temperature at the stack inlet are controlled by air flow and bypass valves, avoiding problems associated with temperature overshoot during transient operation. The simulation results show that the temperature controller has the ability to follow fast thermal changes while maintaining thermal safety, which indicates the competitiveness of the controller. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Temporal concept shift (TCS) is an unavoidable problem in physiological signal-based emotion recognition tasks, i.e., the data distribution of physiological signals is constantly changing over time, which gradually degrades the model accuracy. To this end, we propose a method based on a combination of domain adaptation and incremental learning to reduce the impact of temporal concept drift. In this paper, domain adaptation is used to reduce the distribution differences and incremental learning is used to prevent the learned knowledge from being forgotten. Finally, we validate the effectiveness of our approach on two real datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

To handle data stream classification with concept drifts, recent studies have shown that a continuously evolving network structure can achieve better performance. However, firstly, they only change one hidden node at a time, which is not enough to alleviate underfitting or overfitting of network model, leading to model’s inability to fit data well. Secondly, during the growth process of the network, they did not consider reducing hidden layers, which would affect the learning ability of deep neural network models. To overcome these shortcomings, an adaptive neural network structure (ANSN) is proposed to handle data stream classification with concept drifts. ANSN has a completely open structure, its network structure, depth, and width can evolve automatically in online mode. The experimental results on ten popular data stream datasets show that the proposed ANSN outperforms the comparison methods.
