As a key component of injection molding,multi-cavity hot runner(MCHR)system faces the crucial problem of polymer melt filling imbalance among the *** thermal imbalance in the system has been considered as the leading ***,the solution may rest with the synchronization of those heating processes in MCHR *** paper proposes a’Master-Slave’generalized predictive synchronization control(MS-GPSC)method with’***’strategy for preheating stage of MCHR *** core of the proposed method is choosing the heating process with slowest dynamics as the’Master’to track the setpoint,while the other heating processes are treated as‘Slaves’tracking the output of’Master’.This proposed method is shown to have the good ability of temperature *** corresponding analysis is conducted on parameters tuning and stability,simulations and experiments show the strategy is effective.

Sequence-to-sequence models provide a feasible new approach for generative text summarization, but these models are not able to accurately reproduce factual details and subject information. To address the problem of unconstrained and uncontrollable content generation of generative text summarization models, this paper proposes a generative summarization method KGIT that uses Transformer as a skeleton and incorporates both BERT pre-training model and keyword information. The model uses a comprehensive keyword extraction algorithm, uses two results extracted by LSTM and TextRank as vocabularies respectively, and uses pointers keywords are selected and the extracted keywords are used as the guiding information to generate the summary based on the guiding information. KGIT model can associate the source text and keywords to avoid generating a summary of irrelevant topics. The ROUGE value is used as the evaluation criterion for text summaries, and the summaries generated by the KGIT model can contain more key information and are more accurate and readable when compared with the mainstream summary generation models on the NLPCC2017 Chinese news summary dataset. © 2022 SPIE.

Random feature (RF) has been widely used for node consistency in decentralized kernel ridge regression (KRR). Currently, the consistency is guaranteed by imposing constraints on coefficients of features, necessitating that the random features on different nodes are identical. However, in many applications, data on different nodes varies significantly on the number or distribution, which calls for adaptive and data-dependent methods that generate different RFs. To tackle the essential difficulty, we propose a new decentralized KRR algorithm that pursues consensus on decision functions, which allows great flexibility and well adapts data on nodes. The convergence is rigorously given and the effectiveness is numerically verified: by capturing the characteristics of the data on each node, while maintaining the same communication costs as other methods, we achieved an average regression accuracy improvement of 25.5% across six real-world data sets. Early fire detection is very important for preventing forest fires. In this paper, a new image-based fire detection algorithm, named as h-EfflcientDet, is proposed to complete the task of early forest fire detection. h-EfflcientDet is based on a popular deep learning approach EfficientDet (scalable and efficient object detection) by replacing the nonlinear activation function swish of the EfficientDet with the hard version of swish and combing also with an efficient feature fusion network BIFPN (bidirectional feature pyramid network), which can improve significantly the efficiency of the fire detection model. The experiment results show that the proposed h-EfficientDet can detect the fire in real-time with the detection speed of 21 FPS. The detection accuracy is up to 98.35% with a low miss detection rate. © 2021 IEEE.

Due to the continuous growth in steel market demand and the shift towards small batches and multiple varieties, efficient storage management has become a key factor in increasing the profitability of logistics parks. However, the current storage methods, due to the unreasonable allocation of stack positions, still result in energy waste during the dispatch phase and the need for trucks to pick up goods across multiple yards. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a comprehensive optimization scheme to reduce truck transfers and energy consumption in steel product dispatch. First, we constructed an optimization problem model that integrates the spatial layout of the logistics park and order data, aiming to maximize the correlation between steel products within the same yard and reduce the total energy consumption during the dispatch phase. Subsequently, a new algorithm called Enhanced Greedy and Tabu-Assisted Adaptive Large Neighborhood Search (EGTA-ALNS) is introduced. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms existing ones in terms of solving speed and scale. It effectively optimizes energy consumption during steel dispatch and reduces the number of truck transfers. © 2024 IEEE.

A brain-computer interface (BCI) facilitates direct interaction between the brain and external devices. To concurrently achieve high decoding accuracy and low energy consumption in invasive BCIs, we propose a novel spiking neural network (SNN) framework incorporating local synaptic stabilization (LSS) and channel-wise attention (CA), termed LSS-CA-SNN. LSS optimizes neuronal membrane potential dynamics, boosting classification performance, while CA refines neuronal activation, effectively reducing energy consumption. Furthermore, we introduce SpikeDrop, a data augmentation strategy designed to expand the training dataset thus enhancing model generalizability. Experiments on invasive spiking datasets recorded from two rhesus macaques demonstrated that LSS-CA-SNN surpassed state-of-the-art artificial neural networks (ANNs) in both decoding accuracy and energy efficiency, achieving 0.80-3.87% performance gains and 14.78-43.86 times energy saving. This study highlights the potential of LSS-CA-SNN and SpikeDrop in advancing invasive BCI applications. © 2024, CC BY.

Steel plate is a highly customized product, and steel plates from the same order may be stored in different stacks. However, during the outbound process, the steel plates of the next order can only be dispatched from the warehouse once all plates from the preceding order have been fully completed. In this case, the outbound scheduling of steel plates is a challenging problem since its efficiency and complexity are affected by the shuffling of steel plates. In order to address the challenge, this paper formulates the steel plate outbound scheduling as a dynamic programming model with the aim of minimizing the crane operation time. To solve the problem, an decision tree-based backtracking search algorithm (DTBSA) is developed, in which the search tree is pruned through lower bound functions and dominance rules, so as to reduce the search range of the solution space. Experimental results prove that the proposed method can obtain optimal scheduling results within a reasonable time range. © 2024 IEEE.

As one of the extremely important components on the transmission tower, the insulator has two functions of electrical insulation and wire fixing, which directly affects the operation of the power system. Defects in insulators can impair the service life of transmission lines. UAV aerial photography of electric power towers has problems such as small number of defective insulator samples, small area, large aspect ratio of insulator strings, and variable inclination angle, coupled with the influence of environmental factors such as light, interference, distance, etc., which lead to low detection accuracy of insulator defects. Aiming at the above problems, an improved YOLOv5 insulator defect detection algorithm is proposed. First, screen the aerial images and use data augmentation to obtain a sufficient number of defective insulator images to enrich the dataset and avoid model overfitting. Secondly, the convolutional attention module CBAM is introduced to improve the expression ability of defect insulator features and strengthen the network's ability to identify targets. Finally, the Leaky ReLU activation function of the hidden layer of the original YOLOv5 algorithm is replaced by the Mish function to improve the generalization ability of the network. The experimental results show that compared with the original YOLOv5 algorithm, the average precision mAP (IOU=0.5) of the improved algorithm is increased by 7.8%, which effectively improves the problems of false detection and missed detection in the original algorithm. Compared with other mainstream object detection algorithms, the algorithm proposed in this paper has better detection effect on insulator defects. © 2022 SPIE.

A reinforcement learning-based dynamic multi-objective optimization approach for integrated timetabling and vehicle scheduling

Dynamic integrated timetabling and vehicle scheduling (D-ITVS) is essential for mitigating the negative impacts of service disruptions. It involves multiple rescheduling stages, with inherent optimization similarities across these stages. However, existing optimization approaches for the D-ITVS problem have not systematically exploited these similarities, overlooking the potential for decision knowledge from previous stages to inform the current stage. To address this gap, this paper proposes a reinforcement learning-based dynamic multi-objective optimization approach (RL-DMOA), which focuses on transferring decision knowledge between rescheduling stages. This approach models the optimization process of each rescheduling stage in the D-ITVS problem as a Markov decision process, incorporating a state space with vehicle information, action space for vehicle assignment, and a multi-objective reward function. A multi-objective deep reinforcement learning (M-DRL) agent is employed within the RL-DMOA to select actions based on the state at each decision point. The agent is constructed on a multi-objective deep Q-learning network (M-DQN), with a Q-value adjustment layer incorporated to prevent the selection of invalid actions. To select optimal actions while balancing the conflicts among multiple objectives, the M-DRL agent applies a non-dominated sorting selection strategy. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed RL-DMOA is capable of generating timetables and vehicle schedules with reduced costs, enhanced robustness, and improved convergence and diversity across all rescheduling stages. By balancing operational costs and passenger service quality, these improvements benefit transit operators, and during daily operations, passengers enjoy reduced travel costs and enhanced service reliability. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

Spatial audio is an important component of the metaverse. With the rapid increase of the spatial resolution and the number of objects, the data volume of the spatial side information has grown larger. However, the low bit rate transmission of spatial side information in the object-based audio coding methods leads to the low-quality reconstruction of spatial side information with limited bandwidth. To address this issue, this paper constructs a cascade design of spatial audio coding and unequal error protection (UEP) rateless codes. Furthermore, the further protection of specific spatial side information is proposed for different scenarios, which effectively addresses the limitation of traditional spatial audio coding in side information protection. For the situation where the code length K of different importance levels is different, we propose an adaptive degree distribution (ADD), adding K to the selection probability as an influencing factor, which has better performance than other degree distribution for short code length. ADD is used to replace the multiple degree distribution strategy of the traditional unequal error protection scheme, and the block error rate (BER) is reduced nearly 10 times compared with the traditional scheme. © 2024 IEEE.
