Parameter estimation of fractional uncertain differential equations

Fractional uncertain differential equations are used for forecast in this paper. It is crucial to provide an accurate estimation method since fractional uncertain differential equations hold memory effects and parameter estimation strongly depends on the accuracy of numerical schemes. A generalized moment estimation method is developed by the famous L1 numerical scheme. Adam optimization algorithm is adopted in the minimum optimization problem and the obtained optimal parameters can pass the uncertain hypothesis test. Compared with the uncertain differential equations, the fractional one holds more parameter freedom degrees and captures long-term interactions of observed data. Finally, the applications to aftershock frequency and pharmacokinetics are provided as examples. It can be concluded that fractional uncertain differential equations lead to the higher forecast accuracy which also provides some potential works on "fractional deep learning" under uncertain environments. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Deforestation is the primary source of global warming;traditional shelf labels use paper to display the price of the products, and human forces play a pivotal role in updating the tags where the pandemic has strictly limited its power. Various technologies provide connectivity and a fast-updating system to eliminate the paper-based approach. LoRa is one of the contenders to design the system for electronic shelf labels (ESLs). In this paper, LoRa has been used to minify data losses and guarantee the successful decoding of the carrier signals. The data parallelism at the network server (NS) is used to distribute the data packets among the gateways (GWs) for concurrent transmissions to the end devices (EDs). The EDs are placed in different ranges using machine clustering to avoid intra-SF interference and collision. The data rate (DR) and spreading factors (SFs) have been proposed to improve the performance of pure and slotted ALOHA for the properly allocated tags. The orthogonality principles follow industrial, scientific, and medical regulations (ISM) to avoid data traffic congestion. GWs under different duty cycles (DC) and bandwidth (BW) are examined to minify the network saturation and reduce the energy harvesting of the tags. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Predicting lane-change intentions of surrounding vehicles can effectively help autonomous vehicles reduce collisions caused by lane changes and ensure driving safety. Because prediction methods based on black-box models will lead to passengers' distrust of machine prediction, the intention prediction methods used to autonomous driving need to be interpretable and trustworthy. This paper presents a method for intention prediction of surrounding vehicles by using a bidirectional long short term memory network (BiLSTM) with a conditional random field (CRF) layer above it. Compared with intention prediction methods using deep network, the proposed method can find the features that contribute most to the prediction, thereby improving the interpretability and ensuring the prediction performance. In addition, by employing the transfer characteristic of the CRF layer, traffic rules and the experience of skilled drivers can be embedded to the prediction in the form of rules. Use rules to constrain the intention prediction, thereby improving the trustworthiness of prediction results. Test results on naturalistic driving dataset show that the proposed method can predict the lane-change intention with an accuracy of 97.22%, which is higher than that of Bi-LSTM. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper proposes a tightly-coupled lidar-GNSS-inertial fusion system that achieves accurate state estimation and mapping for robot *** system effectively fuses lidar points,GNSS measurements,and IMU data using the iterated error state Kalman filter algorithm to obtain precise,drift-free,and real-time *** optimize computational efficiency,an incremental tree structure,ikdtree,is employed for managing a local map,and different Kalman gain formulas are utilized to process GNSS and lidar point observations separately to lower the computation ***,a factor graph is introduced to optimize the pose *** selectively introducing keyframes based on the odometry estimation,the graph incorporates odometry,GNSS measurements,and loop closure constraints to optimize all keyframe poses,resulting in a precise trajectory and global ***,extensive experiments are conducted using the KITTI dataset and several real-world scenarios to validate the proposed *** experimental results demonstrate that our method achieves precise localization and mapping across diverse environments.

In recent years, micromanipulator with dual end-effectors called microhand has been widely used in industrial and biological fields. Whether the tip positions of the two end-effectors of the microhand can be accurately aligned seriously affects the precise grasping of the microhand. However, few researchers have presented practical ways for precisely aligning the tip positions of a 6-DOF microhand's two end- effectors. This paper proposes a novel, inexpensive, lightweight, robust, and easy-to-use microhand dual end-effectors clamping device that can precisely and quickly align the two end-effectors of a 6-DOF microhand. First, we describe the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device's lightweight structural design. After that, we simplify the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device model and create a mathematical model to determine the relationship between the end-effectors' tip position and the rotation angles of screw No.1, screw No.2, screw No.3 of the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device. Through experimentation, we are able to attain precise alignment of the two end-effectors tip positions of the 6-DOF microhand, so we confirm that our mathematical model is true. Finally, we use the impulse response of PZT in the microhand's lower module to confirm the stability of the microhand dual end- effectors clamping device. We believe that the proposed the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device has great potential in industrial and biological applications as a universal tool for precise alignment of the tip positions of the two end-effectors of a 6-DOF microhand. © 2024 IEEE.

In the cement production process, the decomposer outlet temperature control faces challenges such as large time delay and multiple disturbances. A general control system cannot handle time delay and disturbances effectively at the same time. Therefore, in this paper, we consider the problem of disturbances in time-delay systems and suppress the disturbances present in the outlet temperature control of the decomposer by combining equivalent-input-disturbance (EID) and Model Predictive control (MPC), where EID can estimate the disturbances and apply them to the input channels of the system, which do not require any information about the disturbances. Finally simulations are carried out in the catabolizer system and the results indicate that this system is able to suppress the perturbations effectively in time delay systems. © 2024 IEEE.

In the cement production process, the speed of grate coolers directly affects the residence time and cooling effect of cement clinker. Its effective control is of great significance to ensuring cement quality. But the adjustment of grate speed is a complex process, involving moderate cooling air, uniform clinker thickness, regulated output and other constraints. In this study, an Auto-Regressive with exogenous input (ARX) grate cooler prediction model is developed using a data-driven approach based on a company’s cement production line, a model predictive control (MPC) approach is employed for the purpose of optimising the speed of the grate cooler based on the ARX model. The results demonstrate that the method of MPC exhibits greater stability than the method of PID, and that MPC technology has good efficacy and superiority in the adjustment of grate speed. © 2024 IEEE.

With the improvement of hardware performance,semantic segmentation based on convolutional neural network has achieved wide concern for its' advantage of high ***,in practical application scenarios,such as autonomous driving,what we care about is not only the segmentation accuracy,but also the ability of the model to process information in real-time on edge *** this paper,a lightweight and efficient real-time semantic segmentation network was proposed,which is based on a two-way structure,aggregates detailed spatial information and high-level semantic information,integrates long-range dependencies and region-level *** proposed algorithm achieves good *** conducted experiments based on an NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2080 SUPER graphics card and achieved 73.8% accuracy on Cityscapes dataset with a speed of 211 FPS,and 72.8% accuracy on Camvid dataset.
