With the implementation of the "Internet+" strategy, electronic medical records are generally applied in the medical field. Deep mining of electronic medical record content data is an effective means to obtain medical knowledge and analyse patients’ states, but the existing methods for extracting entities from electronic medical records have problems of redundant information, overlapping entities, and low accuracy rates. Therefore, this paper proposes an entity extraction method for electronic medical records based on the network framework of BERT-BiLSTM, which incorporates a multichannel self-attention mechanism and location relationship features. First, the text input sequence was encoded using the BERT-BiLSTM network framework, and the global semantic information of the sentence was mined more deeply using the multichannel self-attention mechanism. Then, the position relation characteristic was used to extract the local semantic message of the text, and the position relation characteristic of the word and the position embedding matrix of the whole sentence were obtained. Next, the extracted global semantic information was stitched with the positional embedding matrix of the sentence to obtain the current entity classification matrix. Finally, the proposed method was validated on the dataset of Chinese medical text entity relationship extraction and the 2010i2b2/VA relationship corpus, and the experimental results indicate that the proposed method surpasses existing methods in terms of precision, recall, F1 value and training time. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Most existing models for video saliency prediction heavily rely on 3D convolutional operations to extract spatio-temporal features. However, it is worth noting that 3D convolution produces a local receptive field, which may struggle to capture long-range spatio-temporal dependencies effectively. To compensate for such shortage, this paper introduces a novel approach called the Transformer-based Multi-level Attention Integration Network (TMAI-Net) for video saliency prediction. TMAI-Net is designed as a two-stream encoder-decoder model, carefully integrating multi-level features of semantic information. Our model incorporates a Multi-level Interactive Attention(MLIA) module and a Transformer, both implemented based on self-attention mechanism, which are placed at different levels of the model to capture long-range spatio-temporal feature dependencies. Additionally, our model operates on input video frames and attentional patches, allowing the Transformer module to capture structural similarities between related objects in global features and attention features. This, in turn, enables the model to allocate increased attention to salient areas. In computer image processing, optical flow is a classic task used to track the motion of pixels. In the field of robotics, methods like SLAM extensively employ sparse optical flow as a substitute for time-consuming feature point matching methods, enabling rapid and stable camera tracking. However, the widespread use of fisheye cameras introduces distortion issues in practical applications. Traditional sparse optical flow struggles to accurately track pixel positions in such scenarios, affecting the precision of camera pose tracking. Therefore, we introduce a sparse optical flow method designed for fisheye camera models, which correctly utilizes prior information obtained during camera tracking to enhance the accuracy of sparse optical flow. Finally, we propose a scheme for constructing a semi-distortion lookup table to accelerate distortion operations and reduce memory requirements. We conducted extensive testing on simulated datasets with various camera motion scenarios, and the experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms OpenCV in terms of accuracy and versatility. © 2023 IEEE.

Existing demosaicking neural models generally reconstruct the red, green and blue channels by one unified network. This has the advantage of allowing the RGB channels to share latent features. However, it is unnoticed that the training samples are severely unbalanced among the three channels. As a consequence, a unified model trained to fit the red or blue sample distributions is prone to under-fit the green samples. In this paper, we demonstrate the existence of such conflicts, and analyze the reason behind this phenomenon. To solve this disadvantage, we decouple the traditional three-in-one demosaicking to three independent but collaborative sub-tasks, respecting the distribution of samples in each spectrum. We show that, by our decoupling strategy, a very simple architecture can achieve high accuracy with high efficiency. For substantiation, we construct a model that has merely 1.3M parameters in total, and compares its accuracy to state of the art methods of similar or larger model size, across a wide variety of benchmark datasets. The proposed independent and collaborative architecture gains performance improvement over comparable models in both accuracy and inference time. © 2023 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

A frequency and two-hop configuration checking-driven local search algorithm for the minimum weakly connected dominating set problem

The minimum weakly connected dominating set problem is a typical NP-hard problem with a wide range of applications. To solve this problem, we propose a frequency property and two-hop configuration checking strategy-driven local search algorithm (FCC2LS). In this algorithm, we first propose a lock-vertex-based initial solution construction procedure. This procedure guarantees that certain vertices, which must be included in the optimal solution, are added to the solution. Second, we propose a two-hop configuration checking strategy and a frequency property. The two-hop configuration checking strategy is a new variant of the original configuration checking strategy, which prohibits vertices with unchanged configuration from being added to the candidate solution. The frequency property is used to record the number of times for each vertex is added to the solution, which can increase the diversity of selected vertices. Third, we combine two scoring functions, Dscore and Nscore, with the above strategies and propose effective vertex selection methods to help the algorithm select suitable vertices to add into or remove from the candidate solutions. Finally, we evaluate the proposed algorithm FCC2LS with four state-of-the-art algorithms on four groups of benchmark instances. In the fields of social network analysis and knowledge graph, many semi-supervised learning algorithms based on graph convolutional neural network (GCN) have been widely used. Most of these algorithms usually improve the structure of the neural network and the sampling method of each layer of the neural network. However, they don’t pay much attention to the data pre-processing of the algorithm. In the analysis of the input data, the words of different quality in these original data are unevenly distributed. This may obscure some useful data and highlight some irrelevant data. In order to verify the correctness of this hypothesis, the paper proposes a feature matrix compression algorithm (FMC algorithm) for data pre-processing of GCN-based algorithms. The algorithm analyzes and arranges the word columns of the input matrix (the feature of graph) according to the frequency of the word, then merges those words in which the word frequency is smaller, so as to emphasize the role of these words in the graph and optimize the data scale. The present work uses four mainstream datasets in the field and several representative and different algorithms to complete the experiment. The experimental results show that the FMC algorithm achieves better performance. © 2021, The Institution of Engineers (India).

An Enhanced Approach for Few-Shot Segmentation Via Smooth Downsampling Mask and Label Smoothing Loss

Few-shot semantic segmentation aims to segment new categories with only a small number of annotated images. Previous methods mainly focused on exploiting the pixel-level correlation between the support image and the query image, combined with attention-based methods, resulting in significant advancements. In this paper, we introduce a new perspective to enhance few-shot segmentation. We identify that utilizing the bilinear interpolation method to downsample the mask leads to the loss of fine-grained information from the target features. To address this issue, we propose a Smooth Downsampling Mask (SDM) method. The SDM method is designed to retain more effective target semantic features by employing a cascaded downsampling approach with a smooth kernel for mask processing. Additionally, we propose a label smoothing loss to further enhance the performance, which provides direct guidance for low-resolution feature map optimization. Notably, our proposed method involves no additional learnable parameters and computes efficiently. To validate the effectiveness of our approach, we conduct extensive experiments on three public benchmarks, PASCAL-5i, COCO-20i, and FSS-1000, and achieve considerable improvements. © 2024, The Authors. Independently keypoint Learning for Small Object Semantic Correspondence

Semantic correspondence remains a challenging task for establishing correspondences between a pair of images with the same category or similar scenes due to the large intra-class appearance. In this paper, we introduce a novel problem called 'Small Object Semantic Correspondence (SOSC).' This problem is challenging due to the close proximity of keypoints associated with small objects, which results in the fusion of these respective features. It is difficult to identify the corresponding key points of the fused features, and it is also difficult to be recognized. To address this challenge, we propose the keypoint Bounding box-centered Cropping (KBC) method, which aims to increase the spatial separation between keypoints of small objects, thereby facilitating independent learning of these keypoints. The KBC method is seamlessly integrated into our proposed inference pipeline and can be easily incorporated into other methodologies, resulting in significant performance enhancements. Additionally, we introduce a novel framework, named KBCNet, which serves as our baseline model. KBCNet comprises a Cross-Scale Feature Alignment (CSFA) module and an efficient 4D convolutional decoder. The CSFA module is designed to align multi-scale features, enriching keypoint representations by integrating fine-grained features and deep semantic features. Meanwhile, the 4D convolutional decoder, based on efficient 4D convolution, ensures efficiency and rapid convergence. To empirically validate the effectiveness of our proposed methodology, extensive experiments are conducted on three widely used benchmarks: PF-PASCAL, PF-WILLOW, and SPair-71k. Our KBC method demonstrates a substantial performance improvement of 7.5\% on the SPair-71K dataset, providing compelling evidence of its efficacy. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

With the complexity of the functions of modern buildings, the problem of vertical traffic in buildings is becoming more and more prominent. As the only vertical transportation, the elevator is a necessary prerequisite for the development of modern buildings to solve its group control distribution problem. In this paper, a vertical traffic scheduling control method is proposed based on dual fuzzy neural network, a recognition strategy is designed to identify the passenger flow models. The dual fuzzy neural network is used to first identify the traffic network model in which the elevator is located, and then combine the corresponding weights and the confidence of the group control allocation to complete the group control scheduling. Finally, the proposed method is verified through a semi-physical simulation platform, proving the correctness and effectivness for traffic pattern recognition and scheduling strategy optimization of group controllers. © 2023 IEEE.

TS-Net: Two-stage deformable medical image registration network based on new smooth constraints

Medical image registration can establish the spatial consistency of the corresponding anatomical structures between different medical images, which is important in medical image analysis. In recent years, with the rapid development of deep learning, the image registration methods based on deep learning greatly improve the speed, accuracy, and robustness of registration. Regrettably, these methods typically do not work well for large deformations and complex deformations in the image, and neglect to preserve the topological properties of the image during deformation. Aiming at these problems, we propose a new network TS-Net that learns deformation from coarse to fine and transmits information of different scales in the two stages. Two-stage network learning deformation from coarse to fine can gradually learn the large and complex deformations in images. In the second stage, the feature maps downsampled in the first stage for skip connection can expand the local receptive field and obtain more local information. The smooth constraints function used in the past is to impose the same restriction on the global, which is not targeted. In this paper, we propose a new smooth constraints function for each voxel deformation, which can better ensure the smoothness of the transformation and maintain the topological properties of the image. The experiments on brain datasets with complex deformations and heart datasets with large deformations show that our proposed method achieves better results while maintaining the topological properties of deformations compared to existing deep learning-based registration methods. © 2023 Elsevier Inc.
