In this paper, the problem of rudder-roll damping control for a class of cruise keeping ships subject to both actuator fault and state saturation is investigated. A manoeuvring and rudder control model of marine vessels is firstly reviewed based on the existing literature. Actuator faults which including partial loss of rudder effectiveness and actuator-bias faults are considered in the model. Then a switching control strategy is developed to compensate for the actuator faults and to guarantee the stability of the rudder-roll damping control system. Moreover, some relationship regarding state saturation bounds, actuator fault limits and control parameters are analyzed in this paper. Finally, simulation results are given to illustrate the proposed procedures and their effectiveness.

This paper investigates the problem of H∞ filter design for a class of nonlinear networked system based on T-S fuzzy model. Multiple stochastic time-varying delays and some incomplete information are considered simultaneously. Incomplete information includes randomly occurring sensor saturation and packet dropouts. Stochastic time-varying delays are depicted as a sequence of stochastic and independent variables, which take values on 0 and 1. Two sets of Bernoulli distributed white noises are introduced to describe randomly occurring sensor saturation and packet dropouts. system conservatism is reduced due to introduce an approach of piecewise quadratic Lyapunov function. By solving a set of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs), the filter parameters are obtained. Finally, a simulation example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed filter design approach.

To benefit network transmission, the bit stream of the whole frame coded by H.264/AVC is usually grouped into one packet. However, the packet loss during transmission will lead to the distortion of the reconstructed video and the error propagation. To deal with this problem, error concealment (EC) strategy is widely used to recover the lost frames and to weaken the effect of error propagation. In this paper, we propose a new EC method which uses both the forward and backward motion information to recover the motion information of the current lost frame. Besides, for the pixels whose motion information is quite different compared with its neighboring pixels, we propose to use the spatial correlation to fill up the pixels by minimizing the total variation (TV) *** the help of our proposed algorithm, we can obtain the motion vectors of the lost frames and improve the accuracy of motion vectors derived by the unidirection recovery method. Besides, the optimization strategy, minimizing the TV-norm for the pixels with quite different motion vectors, can help the decoder to recover the reconstructed frames more accurately. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve both better objective performance and subjective performance compared to well-known schemes. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.

Some applications of the interconnected embedded systems such as sensor networks rely on all nodes in the network to execute certain tasks simultaneously. To meet this demand for simultaneity, a multi-timer model based fully distributed task synchronization algorithm is proposed in this paper. In this multi-timer model, each node containing an embedded system is characterized by a timer. The microcontrollers (MCUs) within the interconnected embedded systems are switched to the assigned tasks by timer interrupts. Each timer decides when to trigger interrupts by only using the information from its neighbors. Task synchronization is realized by using the proposed synchronization algorithm. Some simulation examples are presented in the end to verify the effectiveness of the proposed synchronization algorithm.

Nonlocal interferometric phase filtering methods achieve excellent performance in both noise reduction and texture preservation, even in the case of complicated topography and low coherence. The main limitation of the nonlocal methods is the computational burden. This paper proposed a nonlocal phase filtering strategy for the practical InSAR system, which combine the nonlocal algorithm with the traditional method to improve the efficiency.

The temperature sensor network in intelligent building classified collection of big data processing has the problem of big data redundancy interference, which results in unable to determine the fixed filter thresholds. This paper proposed Chaos differential disturbance based fuzzy C-means clustering model for big temperature sensing data classification tasks. It requires to analyze temperature sensor in the intelligent building big distributed structure model of data in a database storage system, the big data information flow feature fusion and time series analysis. Based on traditional fuzzy c-means clustering processing, we introduced chaos disturbance to avoid the classification into local convergence and local optimum, and therefore improve the performance of data clustering. The testing results show that our proposed classification method effectively reduces the error rate for classification tasks of temperature data in intelligent building and have achieved the best performance among the existing algorithms. © 2016 ACM.

Background:Malaria is a highly climate-sensitive vector-borne infectious disease that still represents a significant public health problem in Huaihe River ***,little comprehensive information about the burden of malaria caused by flooding and waterlogging is available from this *** study aims to quantitatively assess the impact of flooding and waterlogging on the burden of malaria in a county of Anhui Province,***:A mixed method evaluation was conducted.A case-crossover study was firstly performed to evaluate the relationship between daily number of cases of malaria and flooding and waterlogging from May to October 2007 in Mengcheng County,*** Cox models were used to examine the lagged time and hazard ratios(HRs)of the risk of flooding and waterlogging on *** lived with disability(YLDs)of malaria attributable to flooding and waterlogging were then estimated based on the WHO framework of calculating potential impact fraction in the Global Burden of Disease ***:A total of 3683 malaria were notified during the study *** strongest effect was shown with a 25-day lag for flooding and a 7-day lag for *** analysis showed that an increased risk of malaria was significantly associated with flooding alone[adjusted hazard ratio(AHR)=1.467,95%CI = 1.257,1.713],waterlogging alone(AHR = 1.879,95%CI = 1.696,2.121),and flooding and waterlogging together(AHR = 2.926,95%Cl = 2.576,3.325).YLDs per 1000 of malaria attributable to flooding alone,waterlogging alone and flooding and waterlogging together were 0.009 per day,0.019 per day and 0.022 per day,***:Flooding and waterlogging can lead to higher burden of malaria in the study *** health action should be taken to avoid and control a potential risk of malaria epidemics after these two weather disasters.

For path planning of mobile robot, the traditional Q learning algorithm easy to fall into local optimum, slow convergence etc. issues, this paper proposes a new greedy strategy, multi-target searching of Q learning algorithm. Don't need to create the environment model, the mobile robot from a single-target searching transform into multi-target searching an unknown environment, firstly, by the dynamic greedy strategy exploring interim to use unknown environment, improve learning ability that mobile robot learn the environment, improve the convergence of the mobile robot speed. And a large number of improved Q-learning algorithms are applied to mobile robot optimization simulation in unknown environment, by comparing with traditional Q algorithm, theory and experiment proved that improved Q-learning algorithm speed up the convergence rate of the robot, improve collision avoidance capability and learning efficiency. © 2015 SERSC.

This paper proposes an improved non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA2)-DNSGA2, with the aim of preserving diversity of obtained optimal solution and avoiding the original NSGA2 algorithm falling into local optimal. The proposed DNSGA2 algorithm which introduces a differential mutation operator to replace the original polynomial mutation because the method of differential local search is helpful to the uniformity of Pareto optimal solution set. The performance of the proposed DNSGA2, NSGA2 and W-LRCD-NSGA2 (Based on left-right crowding distance non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm) are compared via four benchmark functions. Simulation results indicate that the diversity and uniformity of Pareto optimal solution obtained by DNSGA2 are better than the other two algorithms. © 2015 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

This paper presents a novel reconfigurable framework for training Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). The proposed framework is based on reconfiguring a streaming datapath at runtime to cover the training cycle for the various layers in a CNN. The streaming datapath can support various parameterized modules which can be customized to produce implementations with different trade-offs in performance and resource usage. The modules follow the same input and output data layout, simplifying configuration scheduling. For different layers, instances of the modules contain different computation kernels in parallel, which can be customized with different layer configurations and data precision. The associated models on performance, resource and bandwidth can be used in deriving parameters for the datapath to guide the analysis of design trade-offs to meet application requirements or platform constraints. They enable estimation of the implementation specifications given different layer configurations, to maximize performance under the constraints on bandwidth and hardware resources. Experimental results indicate that the proposed module design targeting Maxeler technology can achieve a performance of 62.06 GFLOPS for 32-bit floating-point arithmetic, outperforming existing accelerators. Further evaluation based on training LeNet-5 shows that the proposed framework achieves about 4 times faster than CPU implementation of Caffe and about 7.5 times more energy efficient than the GPU implementation of Caffe.
