For in-situ measurement of biochemical process variables such as the multi-component concentrations of a fermentation process via near-infrared spectroscopy,an improved spectral calibration model building method is proposed in this paper,based on the support vector regression(SVR) in combination with a grey wolf optimizer for parameter *** address the nonlinear properties and high-dimensional problem of infrared spectral variables,the Gaussian kernel function is adopted to establish an SVR based spectral calibration model so as to improve fitting accuracy with respect to the training ***,a grey wolf optimization algorithm is given to determine the model parameters for obtaining good prediction *** application to a fluidized bed drying(FBD) process for prediction of moisture content and another lactic acid fermentation process for multi-component prediction are performed,well demonstrating the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed modelling method over the traditional partial least-squares modeling algorithms.

This research article considers the design of static output-feedback sliding mode control for Markovian jump systems,in which the attacker may inject false information into the communication channel between the controller and the *** key issue is how to design the feasible sliding mode control law to overcome the effects of unknown and time-varying *** this end,an on-line estimation scheme is introduced to deal with the unknown network attack *** then,a linear sliding surface is constructed based on the measured output information and an outputfeedback sliding mode controller is correspondingly *** is shown that the reachability of the specified sliding surface can be achieved and the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system can be ensured under the derived sufficient ***,simulation examples are provided to verify the developed static output-feedback sliding mode control strategy.

Active training sample selection and updating strategy for near-infrared model with an industrial application

Training sample selection is widely accepted as an important step in developing a near-infrared(NIR) spectroscopic model. For industrial applications, the initial training dataset is usually selected empirically. This process is time-consuming, and updating the structure of the modeling dataset online is difficult. Considering the static structure of the modeling dataset, the performance of the established NIR model could be degraded in the online process. To cope with this issue, an active training sample selection and updating strategy is proposed in this work. The advantage of the proposed approach is that it can select suitable modeling samples automatically according to the process information. Moreover, it can adjust model coefficients in a timely manner and avoid arbitrary updating effectively. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by applying the method to an industrial gasoline blending process.

This study concentrates on solving the output consensus problem for a class of heterogeneous uncertain nonstrict-feedback nonlinear multi-agent systems under switching-directed communication topologies,in which all followers are subjected to multi-type input constraints such as unknown asymmetric saturation,unknown dead-zone and their integration.A unified representation is presented to overcome the difficulties originating from multi-agent input ***,the uncertain system functions in a non-lower triangular form and the interaction terms among agents are dealt with by exploiting the fuzzy logic systems and their special ***,by introducing a nonlinear filter to alleviate the problem of“explosion of complexity”during the backstepping design,a distributed common adaptive control protocol is proposed to ensure that the synchronization errors converge to a small neighborhood of the origin despite the existence of multiple input constraints and arbitrary switching communication *** stability analysis and simulation results are conducted to show the effectiveness and performance of the proposed control methodology.

Semi-supervised dimensionality reduction is an important research area for data classification. A new linear dimensionality reduction approach, global inference preserving projection （GIPP）, was proposed to perform classification task in semi-supervised case. GIPP provided a global structure that utilized the underlying discriminative knowledge of unlabeled samples. It used path-based dissimilarity measurement to infer the class label information for unlabeled samples and transformd the diseriminant algorithm into a generalized eigenequation problem. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Nonlinear adaptive switching control for a class of non-affine nonlinear systems

An improved nonlinear adaptive switching control method is presented to relax the assumption on the higher order nonlinear terms of a class of discrete-time non-affine nonlinear systems. The proposed control strategy is composed of a linear adaptive controller, a neural network(NN) based nonlinear adaptive controller and a switching mechanism. An incremental model is derived to represent the considered system and an improved robust adaptive law is chosen to update the parameters of the linear adaptive controller. A new performance criterion of the switching mechanism is designed to select the proper controller. Using this control scheme, all the signals in the system are proved to be bounded. Numerical examples verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
