This paper addresses the attack frequency estimation for networked control systems suffering from denial of service (DoS) attacks. First, the networked control systems (NCSs) subjecting to DoS attacks are modeled as switched systems between normal systems and attacked systems. Secondly, by considering the worst scenario of DoS attacks with energy constraints, the maximum allowable update interval is well characterized under consideration of the limitation of the event-triggered control scheme and discrete sampling. Then, by use of Lyapunov theory, a stability criterion is derived to obtain the maximum number of DoS attacks while ensuring the globally exponentially stable of studied system. Finally, an example is used to show the validity of proposed results.

Defects in nanomaterials often lead to properties that are absent in their pristine counterparts. To date, most studies have focused on the effect of single defects, while ignoring the synergy of multiple defects. In this study, a model of photocatalytic O 2 activation was selected to unravel the role of dual defects by decorating bismuth oxide with surface O vacancies and bulk O substitution simultaneously. The introduction of dual defects led to a spatial and electronic synergistic process: i) O substitution induced a local electric field in the bulk of BiO 2− x , which promoted bulk separation of electrons and holes immediately after their generation; ii) O vacancies efficiently lowered the conduction band, served as the capture center for electrons, and thus facilitated the adsorption and activation of O 2 . This effect was greatly promoted by the coexistence of bulk O substitution, and DFT calculations showed that only O substitution near an O vacancy could have this effect.

Studies had reported that the performance of multi-objective gaze-independent BCIs under covert attention conditions was lower than the matrix speller BCIs under overt attention conditions. However, no research has compared the performance of multi-objective gaze-independent BCIs under covert attention conditions with under overt attention conditions,when visual angle doesn't exceed 1o. For exploration of the above problem, two paradigms developed from Geometric Speller(Geo Spell) have been built. Ten healthy participants had participated in this study. Results show that the performance of the gaze-independent BCI is substantially higher when the participant could gaze directly at targets. However, the multi-objective gaze-independent BCIs under covert attention conditions are competitive in terms of evoking N200(p<0.05).

For probabilistic monitoring of multimode processes,this paper introduced a monitoring scheme that integrates joint probability density and weighted probabilistic principal component analysis based on coefficient of variation(CV-WPPCA). A joint probability based on 2 statistic was constructed for mode identification. After it concentrated maximum fault-relevant information into dominant subspace by identifying and extracting important noise factors from the residual subspace,the new approach utilized a weighting strategy based on coefficient of variation method to highlight the useful information in the reconstructed dominant subspace. A case study on the Tennessee Eastman process was applied to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

The Echo State Network(ESN) is a novel and special type of recurrent neural network that has become increasingly popular in machine learning domains such as time series forecasting, data clustering, and nonlinear system identification. This network is characterized by large randomly constructed recurrent neural networks(RNN) called "reservoir", in which the neurons are sparsely connected and the weights remain unchanged during training, leaving the simple training of the output layer. However, the reservoir is criticized for its randomness and instability because of the random initialization of the connectivity and weights. In this article, we introduced the selective ensemble learning based on BPSO to improve the generalization performance of ESN. Two widely studied tasks are used to prove the feasibility and priority of the selective ESN ensemble based on BPSO(SESNE-BPSO) model. And the results indicate that the SESNE-BPSO model performs better than the general ESN ensemble, the single standard ESN and several other improved ESN models.
