By designing the decentralized time-regularized (Zeno-free) event-triggered strategies for the state-feedback control law, this paper considers the stochastic stabilization of a class of networked control systems, where two sources of randomness exist in multiple decentralized networks that operate asynchronously and independently: the communication channels are constrained by the stochastic network delays and also by Poisson pulsing denial-of-service (Pp-DoS) attacks. The time delay in the network denotes the length from a transmission instant to the corresponding update instant, and is supposed to be a continuous random variable subject to certain continuous probability distribution;while the attacks' cardinal number is a discrete random variable supposed to be subject to Poisson distribution, so the inter-attack time, i.e., the time between two consecutive attack instants, is subject to exponential distribution. The considered system is modeled as a stochastic hybrid formalism, where the randomness enters through the jump map into the reset value (the inter-attack time directly related) of each triggered strategy. By only sampling/transmitting state measurements when needed and simultaneously by taking the specific medium access protocols into account, the designed event-triggered strategies are synthesized in a state-based and decentralized form, which are robust (tolerable well) to stochastic network delays, under different tradeoff-conditions between the minimum inter-event times, maximum allowable delays (i.e., potentially tolerable delays) and the frequencies of attacks. Using stochastic hybrid tools to combine attack-active parts with attack-over parts, the designed triggered strategies, if designed well according to the actual system needs, can tolerate (be resilient to) the Pp-DoS attacks and stochastic network delays without jeopardizing the stability and Zeno-freeness, which is verified by the robust global attitude stabilization of flexible combined ro

The stability of neutral-type genetic regulatory networks with leakage delays is considered. Firstly, we describe the model of genetic regulatory network with neutral delays and leakage delays. Then some sufficient conditions are derived to ensure the asymptotic stability of the genetic regulatory network by the Lyapunov functional method. Further, the effect of leakage delay on stability is discussed. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the results. © 2015 Li Li et al.

In recent years, the discharge of wastewater has increased with the continuous development of coal chemical industry. Wastewater treatment has become a hot and difficult spot for the large emissions, high salt and high COD. Based on the actual ingredients of the salty organic wastewater (TDS content is 25000mg/L) from a plant located in Yili (Sinkiang), 2-methoxyphenol was chosen as a typical organic in coal chemical wastewater. The method of electrochemistry synergistic persulfate oxidation was investigated to degrade 2-methoxyphenol. The influence of voltage, initial concentration of sodium persulfate, electrode distances and initial pH on the degradation ratio of 2-methoxyphenol were discussed. Considering the electronic consumption and oxidant cost, the suitable degradation conditions of 2-methoxyphenol were the voltage of 2V, electrode distance of 3cm, initial sodium persulfate concentration of 5g/L, pH=12 and reaction time of 3h, and the degradation ratio could reach 97.5%. Compared with the single method of electrochemistry or persulfate oxidation, this method has obvious improvement on the degradation of 2-methoxyphenol and shows a synergistic effect. These results could provide a new method on environmental and efficiency wastewater treatment of coal chemical industry in the future. © 2019, chemical Industry Press. All right reserved.

The absorption kinetic of CO2 into a novel non-aqueous mixture of 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol and piperazine was studied at atmospheric pressure. And the effects of AMP / PZ molar ratio, total concentration, absorption temperature, inlet flow rate were discussed, respectively. The results showed that the composite absorbent with AMP / PZ ratio of 6:4 had good effect on CO2 absorption at 293K. Unlike relevant reports at home and abroad, the solubility of CO2 into n-pentanol solution of AMP and PZ was calculated based on solution rule models and relevant data from Aspen Plus. The absorption kinetic of CO2 into non-aqueous composite absorbent was analyzed by a double stirred-cell absorber. It shows the enhancement factor increases with the increasing of total concentration but decrease with the increasing of absorption temperature. The absorption mechanism of CO2 in AMP-PZ-pentanol was determined to be the formation of carbamate by FT-IR, 13C NMR and XRD analysis. Based on the vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) theory, the reaction heat of CO2 into phase change absorbent was calculated to be 9.30 ***-1. The results show that the composite absorbent has a lower reaction heat than any single component in it. The desorption experiment of saturated solution shows that the composite absorbent can be completely regenerated in a short period of time, which meets the industrial requirements for CO2 absorbents and will provide a theoretical basis for the further industrial application of this type of absorbent. © 2024, The Authors. In this paper, an extended state observer (ESO) based data-driven set-point learning control (DDSPLC) scheme is proposed for nonlinear batch processes configured with an inherent PD-type control loop, so as to actively suppress the adverse effect of nonrepetitive external disturbances and nonidentical initial resetting conditions, by only utilizing the available process input/output data. The controlled process is firstly reformulated as an iterative dynamic linearization data model (IDLDM) with an extra generalized disturbance, where the unknown pseudo partial derivative and the generalized disturbance are, respectively, estimated by a projection-like algorithm and iterative ESO along the batch direction. By virtue of the estimated PPD and generalized disturbance, a set-point learning updating law with adaptive learning gain is then developed to optimize the tracking performance from batch-to-batch, by tuning the set-point command of the closed-loop PD-type control. Robust convergence analysis for the established closed-loop learning system is analyzed rigorously. The effectiveness and superiority of the proposed scheme are verified by an illustrative example.

Dynamic statistical process monitoring methods have been widely studied and applied in modern industrial processes. These methods aim to extract the most predictable temporal information and develop the corresponding dynamic monitoring schemes. However, measurement noise is widespread in real-world industrial processes, and ignoring its effect will lead to sub-optimal modeling and monitoring performance. In this article, a probabilistic predictable feature analysis (PPFA) is proposed for multivariate time series modeling, and a multi-step dynamic predictive monitoring scheme is developed. The model parameters are estimated with an efficient expectation-maximum algorithm, where the genetic algorithm and Kalman filter are designed and incorporated. Further, a novel dynamic statistical monitoring index, Dynamic Index, is proposed as an important supplement of T2 and SPE to detect dynamic anomalies. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated via its application on the three-phase flow facility and a medium speed coal mill. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this paper, we investigate the state estimation problem over multiple Markovian packet drop channels. In this problem setup, a remote estimator receives measurement data transmitted from multiple sensors over individual channels. By the method of Markovian jump linear systems, an optimal stationary estimator that minimizes the error variance in the steady state is obtained, based on the mean-square (MS) stabilizing solution to the coupled algebraic Riccati equations. An explicit necessary and sufficient condition is derived for the existence of the MS stabilizing solution, which coincides with that of the standard Kalman filter. More importantly, we provide a sufficient condition under which the MS detectability with multiple Markovian packet drop channels can be decoupled, and propose a locally optimal stationary estimator but computationally more tractable. Analytic sufficient and necessary MS detectability conditions are presented for the decoupled subsystems subsequently. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to illustrate the results on the MS stabilizing solution, the MS detectability, and the performance of the optimal and locally optimal stationary estimators. © 2021, CC BY.

This paper is concerned with the sampled-data stabilization problem for a class of linear systems. Different from the input-delay approach that has been widely used in analyzing the stabilization problem of sampled-data systems, an extended form of the celebrated Halanay inequality is developed for sampled-data systems so as to study the stabilization problem of linear systems under aperiodic sampled-data control. Based on the extended Halanay inequality, the stabilization problem is solved for linear sampled-data systems, where it is required that the gain should be strictly less than the decay rate and then the upper bound of the sampling intervals can be estimated. In order to enlarge the upper bound of the sampling intervals, a further extension of the developed Halanay inequality is made. Then some new conditions are derived to ensure the exponential stability of linear sampleddata systems, where the upper bound of the sampling intervals is allowed to violate the condition of the Halanay inequality. Subsequently, the obtained results are applied to deal with the consensus problem of linear multi-agent systems.

The metal-dielectric dimer is an ideal structure for enhancing single-molecule fluorescence. When a single-molecule interacts with the metal-dielectric dimer, the metal-dielectric plasmonic system creates strong resonance, which amplifies the electric field by several orders of magnitude. One-dimensional photonic crystals (1D PCs) provide a photonic bandgap (PBG) and nearly perfect reflection for specific wavelengths. These phenomena contribute significantly to fluorescence enhancement. Herein, we propose the structure of 1D PCs with a silicon-silver dimer to achieve remarkable fluorescence enhancement under numerical study. Specifically, our design involves a 20 nm gapped silicon-silver dimer with a 50 nm nanochannel positioned above it. Through the optimization of structural parameters, our results demonstrate that quantum dots with a high intrinsic quantum yield, such as 100 %, are capable of achieving a fluorescence directional emission enhancement of up to three orders of magnitude compared to the bare structure, with an average enhancement factor reaching 407-fold. These findings stand for the unique sensitivity of the device, making it a promising choice for applications in biological nanoparticle detection, environmental monitoring, and other fields in the future. © 2024

This paper addresses the attack frequency estimation for networked control systems suffering from denial of service (DoS) attacks. First, the networked control systems (NCSs) subjecting to DoS attacks are modeled as switched systems between normal systems and attacked systems. Secondly, by considering the worst scenario of DoS attacks with energy constraints, the maximum allowable update interval is well characterized under consideration of the limitation of the event-triggered control scheme and discrete sampling. Then, by use of Lyapunov theory, a stability criterion is derived to obtain the maximum number of DoS attacks while ensuring the globally exponentially stable of studied system. Finally, an example is used to show the validity of proposed results.
